"Miss Congeniality" was a very funny and entertaining light romantic comedy that delivered funny moments because of it's creative plot and of course, the sexy-funny performance of the always talented Sandra Bullock.
But this sequel is a total mess with a clichéd plot, predictable situations, and not so funny characters. The addition of Regina King as a sidekick for Sandra Bullock worked most of the time but it wasn't vital to make the movie work.
The situations are not funny at all and it truly made me think I was watching an episode of .. I don't know, any standard sitcom.
But the best thing about the movie is Sandra Bullock's performance. She's always funny, smart. She's the perfect franchise actress that can save the day ANYTIME. Even if the movie is a total crap like this one.
Please only watch it if you are a huge, die hard fan of Sandra Bullock and you can stand trash like this; otherwise, please avoid it.
It's the attack of the bad sequels.

The movie displays action, comedy, suspense and is pretty entertaining. This sequel appear similar characters as the first, thus her friend Heather Burns who she knew as a contestant in the Miss United States beauty pageant, William Shatner,Ernie Hudson but no Benjamin Bratt but the starring has broken with him.Sandra Bullock is sympathetic and funny though repeating her role as untameable tomboy agent.Regina King as her tough, brawny partner is likable. They form a peculiar duo ,making a special buddy movie.Lively, jolly musical score by Tongeren and atmospheric cinematography by Peter Menzies. The motion picture is correctly directed by John Pasquin. The film is diverting but not as bemusing as the first part. Rating : Agreeable and entertained. The picture will like to Sandra Bullock fans.

Always carry a bowie knife if you've got a feathered tail.
This movie had moments. The woman who does the voice of Riley and Huey Freeman reluctantly portraying Tina Turner, with Sandra Bullock behind her moving her arms in a Tina-eque fashion nice. The metatextualism of folks commenting on the Shatner's singing nice. There was even a visual shout out to Star Trek's "The Voyage Home" that I found quite charming. The frantic car chase to save the victims with a dancer's feathered headdress streaming out of the skylight; good fun. I'm a sucker for a costume drama that involves fights and shiny things. And I do like the way Sandra snorts.
But . . . it just didn't cohere. It couldn't decide if it was supposed to be slapstick or comic drama; couldn't decide if it was absurdist or plausible. The lead's transformation into a glamor queen just wasn't psychologically or dramatically convincing.
There was true talent in this film. Real charisma. But it was lazy. One more hard edit of the script, and I think this could have been a fine film. But someone started filming before they had that final edit, and no one made up for it anywhere along the line.

You were all over town in bus ads for a long time, and I didn't care to go and see you in Miss Congeniality... I assumed it was just one more pretty face in a silly Hollywood comedy, and the same old scripts with funny gags about a Miss Something Contest! Now - I was so desperate for a comedy that I went to see Miss Congeniality 2, and after laughing all along as everybody else, I got it. You're a clever woman, and you produced the right film for me, possibly to a few million men and women more, too. I went to read reviews of both films, and good critics are right to point that the scripts are not outstanding, or particularly innovative; I'll add that a number of funny lines are not so funny, either. The way you say them, your acting, your personality, do the trick: you impose your inner sense of comedy on us, and we keep giggling. I'm sorry I missed your first venture as a producer, but to make amends I promise I'll buy the DVD set of the two films when they are out. I want to revive a number of excellent scenes, and keep it for my down moments...
Miss Congeniality 2 in my opinion, is just as good as the first movie. Sandra Bullock of course plays the same character, Gracie Hart, and she's just as likable and fitting for the role in this film as in the 2000 film. I also really liked Regina King here, she is very funny and tough, that's what her character is all about. She's tough as nails and won't take anyone's BS, but there are moments where that hard shell of hers is broken and we're able to see her warm fuzzy side, I liked the balance of both that we get to see at different points in the movie. The script is pretty average for this kind of film, but it still worked in my opinion. I liked how it contained plenty of good humorous material to laugh and have fun with, but then also contained good messages with heart. The action is just about the same in this movie as in the first one, which also worked well. Hey if it ain't broke then why fix it?? The drag show performance scene is very fun and enjoyable. Who wouldn't love Sandra bullock and Regina King singing Tina Turner with a bunch of drag queens?? And then the final thing I want to cover is the awesome and very crucial message that this movie proudly sends. The quote from Gracie Hart at the end of the movie is what I'm referring to: "some people may care about people who care about themselves, but I just don't care about those people" :). That is a wonderful very correct message for everyone. 7/10.

- CuriosidadesOctavia Spencer: Seen getting her book signed and she used her real name "Octavia".
- Erros de gravaçãoWhen Hart shows up at the airplane to leave from New York to Las Vegas, one can clearly see the Stratosphere hotel in the background. They shot the scene in Las Vegas.
- Citações
Gracie Hart: I just don't see why I can't be Tina!
Sam Fuller: [with disdain] You don't see that?
- Cenas durante ou pós-créditosAt the very end of the closing credits, Gracie Hart snort-laughs one last time.
