Hi everyone, this is my very first movie review about an Iranian(Persian) movie and I hope my review will be mostly helpful for Iranian users and readers.
First of all I must say this movie is a great movie. Of course it has lots of flaws but it's definitely a good movie to watch.
And second, this review doesn't contain any spoilers about the movie but at the time I'm writing this review some users wrote the whole story of the movie in the storyline section.
This movie reminds me of lots of old drug busting movies from different countries that I've seen. The story, most of the dialogues, characteristics and etc... are not very unique in this movie but the music and soundtracks are really good.
Some of the differences between this movie and other drug busting movies for me are the main character(Zeinal) and its ending which makes the movie a bit special to me.
Zeinal's appreance and name reminds me of Zidane the famous former football player but his character is a bit gray. He is not a monster and a cold blood drug dealer murderer but he doesn't live like a decent man too. He cares about family, friendship, partnership and loyalty but he also do terrible things. He is not a villain in this movie but he also isn't a saint.
I can't say the ending is a good one, but in my opinion if someone wants to strike the root of evil or in this movie, striking the drug lords, single handed and without planning properly, we all know what will be the result. But on the other hand the result may not seem as bad as it looks.
Maybe they wanted to tell the audience that drug lords are also pawns of other kinds of lords and no one can eliminate them once and for all, or at least it may be nearly impossible to be done.
Maybe if someone wants to strike the root of evil, he/she better stop striking the evil and just doesn't let anyone to get affected by it. The evil will remain but less people will be affected because of it.
