How is this show still on the air? It has been on ABC for over a year and hasn't gotten better at all. The Chevy Chase show wasn't this bad and it only lasted 5 weeks. JKL is worse than Craig Kilborn- and that is b-a-d.

His monologue is funny, he shows funny clips from current TV shows or World Events and he does a pleasant job of interviewing. Early on, he was given week-long co-hosts which I found a fun addition but they dropped the co-host and made him stand up for his monologue and the show does seem better although I miss Co-Hosts like David Cross, Snoop Dogg, Kathie Lee, Mike Tyson and Janeane Garofalo. His best guests have been Clay Aiken, Dane Cook(Hey Kool-Aid!), Wolf Blitzer(with Kimmel's father impersonating Wolf), Quentin Tarentino, Mike Tyson.... The show has the feel of Early Letterman with a slight edge. The Jake Byrd bits are always entertaining with Tony Barbieri playing an insane(but typical) Michael Jackson fanatic. His Cousin Sal hidden camera pranks are funny and the FCC This Week in Unnecessary Censorship is one of the funniest things on TV in the last 30 years. He has a running feud with the cast of The View and it's been very enjoyable watching him rip on Tons-O-Fun Starr Jones. Uncle Frank does an OK job and is sometimes funny on Red Carpet or Street interviews. Uncle Frank is clueless, it's funny for a little while but get's old and annoying. Geuermo's(sp) Hollywood Roundup is a little boring but the show is still one of the best late night shows. I wish he'd bring that hot hot hot girlfriend(Sarah Silverman)of his on the show more, she is one beautiful yenta. If he set out to best Leno, he could have done that with a pig farting on a snare drum because Leno is just weak unfunny and sad. Jimmy Kimmel Live rivals Letterman in the overall quality of show. Hopefully he will stay on long enough for the rest of the United States to smell what Jimmy Kimmel is cooking.

Very disgusting, Huge lack of logic and sensibility. Jimmy is going to fade away and be forgotten. Bye jimmy!

Jimmy. U r such a pleasure to listen to!!! Laughter is the best medicine and u provide the best prescription!! Please don't ever leave us and try to realize what a positive impact u have made on us during a very difficult time when humor and hope are a thing of the past.

Jimmy Kimmel is the opposite of all those things. He's just a guy who attaches himself to funny things and people and somehow they are associated with him. And then he got political and he's not even articulate and intelligent enough to convince anyone of things that they may even agree with. I like Mean Tweets and Guillermo but that's other people on his show. Watch the Eric Andre Show.

Jimmy Kimmel Live is by far the greatest of our current talk shows. From political to just plain fun, Jimmy Kimmel takes talk shows to the next level.

I used to watch Jimmy Kimmel and it has nothing to do with my political affiliation with the Democratic Party. Jimmy Kimmel has become a mouth piece for DNC propaganda, bullying everyone else on the other side. It seems like he gets instructions from the same source as others paid by DNC. This is not cool and it gets old. I'd rather see someone else. Jimmy's fake cries are also very cringe worthy. I tried to watch this show when nothing else was out there but ended up switching over to something else. I hope It is only me doing this for the show sake. Good luck, Jimmy. Perhaps loving America not just DNC would help you turn some pages.

Jimmy Kimmels has been using his monologue to bash Trump for the last year and a half.That's all he talks about for the first 15 minutes.. I'm so tired of it and ill no loner watch the show ! His monologue used to be entertaining and funny but no longer is

This is the same sanctimonious guy who used to host "The Man Show" before he became such a celebrity. What a disappointment he became after leaving. Perhaps he should have stayed with that format because it seems every time we turn around he's whining about something else. It's also seems that with each year passing he becomes more and more emotional, let alone more of a liberal political activist. It's become so cliche now to hear these so-called "talk show" hosts strike their dull humor and lack of wit toward mostly anybody and anything that leans toward the right. Jimmy, you are there to entertain and not subject the viewers to your opinionated leftist views. I have to wonder what the audience response would sound like if they never lit up the "Applause" sign. You know, I'm half tempted to watch the next Oscar telecast just to see how long it will take before he breaks down and wipes the tears from his eyes.

Having watched several years of Carson and Leno, I was really unprepared for Jimmy Fallon. I had known him a little from Saturday Night Live and had seen a few minutes of his late show, but really not enough to make a formed opinion.

I barely made it through his first Tonight Show. Fallon is much like a child screaming "look at me" as he goes down a slide... it's not very entertaining, it can be annoying and it takes no talent.

I had watched a few episodes of Jimmy Kimmel's show prior to Leno leaving and he seemed okay. Not being a fan of Letterman, I decided to give Kimmel a try before permanently switching to reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond.

I've been watching Kimmel for several weeks now and unlike Fallon, he is very funny, his jokes are crafted and most importantly he feels honest. Perhaps one of my biggest complaints about Fallon is that he is extremely fake and put-together. He recently even did a polar plunge in his "signature" suit. How ridiculously fake is that?

I compare that to Kimmel who wore a loomed suit made of rubber bands for an entire show for a good cause. He even choked up a bit talking to the child on-stage. It was honest emotion and gave him humanity that Fallon just does not have.

For those who've never seen his Thursday "Censored" bit, it really can be quite funny. If you enjoyed Leno's "Headlines" you might like this also.

I think Jimmy did not get emotional because Trump won. He was crying because he has to fire his illegal maids from Mexico and Latin America. Let go Jimmy. Let go...it's easy to talk when you have a 15 million dollar annual salary. You are just like Kamala, denying the facts. You have to realize that there was an election, and Trump won including the popular vote. You can twist and turn the results, but you should just accept them. My advice: give Trump some slack. America knew about his plans and still voted for him. Americans gave him the mandate to do it. That's the only reality that matters. Don't worry, It's going to be fine.

I'm a long-time fan of Kimmel, going way back to the days of 'The Man Show', and he continues to be entertaining, fun, and an engaging host.

Guillermo is a great side-man, and the street skits are very funny. Sarah Silverman's two-night stint as fill-in host in August 2021 were most enjoyable, and despite the show's overall abundance of humorous news recaps and political jokes, it's never too caustic, and it's all worthy of a visit.

POOP jimmy kimmel and his show he the most unfunniest person on the planet seriously he's useless he makes people pull on stunts just for money!!! that's really sad and one time he made someone get beat up and you make money out of this that really upsets me JIMMY!!!!! and i hope you are seeing this review too let you know how a mean spirited and selfish guy you are and i hope you show gets canceled that's enough for now.

I only watch Kimmy's monologue, the guests I like and some of the recurring segments. My favorite segment is when "Mike Lindell" comes on with one of his insane rants. My cheeks hurt from laughing. I'm from Minnesota and the real man is an embarrassment to our state. I cringe when I see he is in the news. John Lithgow's "Rudy Giuliani" was superb, as well.

I don't get it. Lying to small children about eating their Halloween candy until they cry is dispicable. That is just plain mean- and NOT funny. And what's up with the parents who do that just to get on tv?? Those small children trust you. It is sad and shameful- and really NOT funny.

The MAGA crowd will, of course, hate him, because he tells the truth about Trump. But he does it in hilarious fashion. We need truth tellers like Kimmel, especially witty ones who can bring out the humor in the madness of these Trumpian times. If you want to see the knee jerk reactions from the MAGA crowd just read a few of the one star reviews. They are universally lame and motivated only by their bizarre loyalty to Trump.

Outside of Kimmel's relentless exposure of the MAGA madness, he has many clever and funny skits that interact with the public.

Obviously Kimmel has some great writers, but Kimmel delivers the material well.

His show is not funny anymore. He seems bitter and jaded.

I feel like he is creating a huge divide in people that watch his show. Kimmel needs to find new jokes to tell.

1. Jimmy Kimmel isn't that funny, and 2. this shows how desparete ABC was for a late night talk show, they gave it to Jimmy Kimmel. The Man Show was ok, pretty dumb at times, but it had some funny stuff. but Jimmy Kimmel Live is just stupid, i give it a year before its cancelled.

I didn't watch "The Man Show" when it was on Comedy Central (from 1999 through 2004) because I never had more than basic cable, however I did manage to catch a few reruns later on and thought hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla were both very funny. It was a good idea for a show and it was carried out well.

Before "Man Show" got canceled the two guys branched out into other programs (Carolla now has his own TV talk show called "Too Late with Adam Carolla" - it's a bit lame sometimes in terms of specific jokes but is a refreshingly frank show overall).

Kimmel started hosting various programs and launched his own late-night talk show (apparently in 2003 but I've only started watching and hearing about it recently).

I've seen a few episodes now and I think it's a good talk show. It could use a bit of work. For one, the writing isn't as strong as it could be. Sometimes the stuff is kind of lame - like the recent interview with Pamela Anderson (Kimmel hosted her roast on Comedy Central, then interviewed her on his show afterwards!), in which they had her play a game called something like "Do You Know Pam?", where the contestants answer questions about Pamela Anderson. The lame part is that they had Pamela Anderson participate in it.

So far this show is pretty funny and I enjoy watching it, but they should recruit some stronger writers because it will never be on the same level as Conan or even Leno otherwise.

I've been saying it for years, but could they have picked a worse person to man this spot? I don't think so. What credentials did Kimmel even have to be handed a show like this? What a joke...

I'm a big fan of Jimmy Kimmel live (not the man show, yuk!) But, I am bothered by 90% of reviews that are posted to trash him because he made fun of Trump. You know what, Trump made himself fodder for comedians all over the world and we sadly couldn't escape him 24/7 for past 5 years, especially with his Twitter account (which NO PRESIDENT should be allowed a social media account, but especially not to abuse it to this unseen before extent). So you can't cry foul, if someone literally opens the flood gates of stupidity and then comedians use it. I think it was the only way alot of us were able to stay sane, was by being able to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. We couldn't escape all the bullying and hate for all these years, but you as a viewer of this show have a choice, just change the bloody channel. Wish the rest of us would have had that option with trump. :O Jimmy does a great job having fun interviewing his guests, has some of the best bands on his show and he has his secret weapon too (Guillermo). :D Now no one can disagree when I say Guillermo WAS THE BEST PART of the OSCARS (and especially the most recent one). I loved when he used to do little movie scene mock ups like Apocalypto, where Guillermo was running , dressed in native garb with a rolling suitcase from a stuffed panther on a wheel board Ha hahahhaha so hilarious and silly.

So to all you complainers, all I can say is "He who smelt it, dealt it!" So go Fart somewhere else if you don't like Jimmy. Good day Sirs! I SAID GOOD DAY!! ;D.

Unfortunately Jimmy just keeps getting worse by the day... he use to be slightly funny but now just tries way too hard and it's not working. So many times he tries to make fun of others on things like politics or their personal lifestyles yet most of it falls on majority of our great country and how they actually represent themselves in their walk of life. He has no clue about real Americans and what we go through and believe. I guess when you a lie a disconnected millionaire that's gonna happen. He really needs to get out more and stop depending on writers of like kind and actually do comedy with a purpose instead of propaganda.

After the end of Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher in 2002 (with Maher eventually moving to HBO, hosting Real Time), ABC decided to do a traditional late-night talk show, and the man to do that talk show was Jimmy Kimmel, fresh from Comedy Central's The Man Show, and he does a decent job from his pop culture-filled monologues to his interviewing skills, and everything else in between.

So, if you ever get tired of The Tonight Show and/or The Late Show, then enjoy Jimmy Kimmel Live! (while not actually live).
