I saw the pilot of this show on Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim" last night, and I have to say that it has a lot of potential if it gets a shot at having a run of its own. It's a very funny show, and I think the characters are HILARIOUS (Especially Bill, and Josh)!! Willoughby (the dorky wannabe who's always getting injured) was a riot too. I hope this show gets a shot on a network, or Cartoon Network because this is worthy of having a run.
This gets a perfect 10!

This cartoon is about four sociopathic nerds who seem to spend all their time consumed in stereotypical nerd interests like comic books, movies and role playing games. It intends to be a humorous look at fanboys but is poorly written, with all the jokes falling flat and having unrelatable social misfits. It's almost a cautionary tale as this show highlighted the lives of four nerds several years before Big Bang Theory. You see exactly where Big Bang Theory could have gone wrong with poor writing and obnoxious unlikeable people. The show even stops dead in the middle for a trivia contest, not a humorous one but literally reciting trivia toward each other for several minutes! Adult Swim is known for its mostly low quality shock humor shows and it still wouldn't touch this turd, shows you it was to infantile for even them.
This has to be one of the best "animations for geeks" that I have ever witnessed. The trivia fight between club members in the comic book shop was one of the best written spots I have seen in an adult cartoon. MAJOR kudos go out to the writers for coming up with such a good trivia-laden episode. And I agree, "No Boba Fett body, then he's not dead."
I just saw "Welcome to Eltingville" last night on Cartoon Network's AdultSwim.com. It is the funniest stuff this side of Robot Chicken the network has ever offered! Why they never picked it up is beyond me. I was so able to identify with this show because I was the same way those kids were in junior high. Now I can not only laugh at myself,I can also laugh at the others who still do this well into their 20s and 30s, and not be considered mean! It's a great play on the nerd stereotypes, such as knowledge of completely useless(to the rest of us) trivia facts, bootleg just about everything, and using outrageously trivial possessions as status symbols. A great salute to the guys who keep the comic book industry and the internet running!
Awesome and hellaciously funny. And has spawned a show on Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim" just as equally funny. I love watching the antics of the very nerdy and quirky characters (whom kinda remind me alot of myself and people I know) The satyre of the show is very good. And when they do a Trivia Off, look out! Of course most people who have seen the show may have been un able to catch all the in jokes and sci-fi refferences (Unless you're a huge trekkie or Star Wars buff, I myself am more into Knight Rider )
Josh reminds me alot of my friend John whom is majorly into Pax Draconis, DnD, and anthropomorphic animal role playing games such as "Werewolf: The Apocolypse." and also Furry comics. Its funny to watch the characters beat the living crap out of each other over collectors items. This is a REALLY funny show. But it is mainly made to appeal to nerds like me and John. Which is kinda what Adult Swim is geared towards, just us nutball anime /sci-fi buffs. I don't know of many football jocks who watch Outlaw Star or Cowboy Bebop. Or Space Ghost Coast to Coast, or Home Movies for that matter.
