Sammy Hagar is set to kick off a Las Vegas residency in April, and going forward residencies and one-off shows might be the only way to see the Red Rocker.

In a new interview, the 77-year-old Hagar revealed that he doesn’t want to tour anymore, and has even told his manager to not book any extended outings. However, it appears Hagar would do more residencies if he enjoys playing in Vegas.

“I don’t think I want to go on tour anymore,” he told the Miami Herald. “I hate to say that, because I don’t want to piss my fans off. I’ll go out and do a one-off show and do things like that, but the residency is going to give me a good extension of my career. That’s what I’m hoping for.”

Little Kids Rock, the national nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives by restoring, expanding, and innovating music education in public schools, has announced more stars will be among the special guests who will take the stage at their annual benefit.

The organization has announced actor and comedian Mike Myers; award winner Darlene Love; Grammy nominated soul singer Bettye Lavette; Grammy winning blues musician Keb’ Mo’; Musical Director Will Lee; and past honorees Paul Shaffer, band leader and musical director for the Late Show with David Letterman; and famed Yankee and Latin Grammy nominee Bernie Williams will take part in the event.

This year’s event, which will honor Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt and Michael Dorf, will take place on Wednesday, October 18th at PlayStation Theater in New York.

The Little Kids Rock Benefit brings together artists and individuals who are passionate about giving the transformational gift of music to children in public schools across the Us.

Little Kids Rock, the national nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives by restoring, expanding, and innovating music education in public schools announced the honorees for its annual benefit being held Wednesday, October 18th at PlayStation Theater in New York.

This year’s event will honor Elvis Costello with the Rocker of the Year Award, and Bonnie Raitt with the Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, Founder and CEO of City Winery, Michael Dorf will be honored for his extensive philanthropic work, including efforts on behalf of expanding music education for underprivileged youth through the annually produced “Music of” tribute concerts.

The Annual Little Kids Rock Benefit, produced by Mark Krantz and Michael Matuza brings together artists and individuals who are passionate about bringing the transformational gift of music to children in public schools across the Us. Prior years’ honorees include Smokey Robinson, Steve Miller, Steven Van Zandt, Lady Gaga, Graham Nash and Joan Jett.

Gone but not forgotten. Mick Jagger took to Instagram over the weekend to remember his late girlfriend, L’Wren Scott.

“Thinking of you on your birthday,” Jagger captioned a photo of the designer.

In the photo the late designer poses while holding up a white rose and smiling at the camera.

But we’ve already talked about our favorite horror scores here on Fearnet in the past, so that’s not quite what we’re here to discuss today.

Ya see, many horror movies over the years have been given their very own songs, which have either been featured within the movies or played over their end credits. This film rocked my Rock and Roll World. How’s that for an obnoxious way to open a serious film review? I don’t care if I sound juvenile. As I write this, I am listening to Led Zeppelin, to be followed by The Stooges first album.

Anyway, this movie put me in a damn good mood. Of course, having spent years in the local music scene, hanging out with friends dedicated to the lovely pursuit of vinyl acquisition, I was definitely interested in the film, an obsessive and positive interest that would compel many of my generation to enjoy the movie. I collect old records, and I know this unique and obsessive world. Fuzz Track City rings true.

The simple story of two youth gangs in England in the early 1960s – The Mods and The Rockers – is grist for the incredible social history film, “Quadrophenia.” The new Criterion Collection Blu-ray DVD release of this 1979 classic will satisfy any side of the ardent rock admirer, especially those of the magnificent rock group “The Who” – the film is based on their lesser known 1973 rock opera of the same name.

London, Dec 28 – Rocker Keith Richards has revealed that he has a collection of 3,000 guitars and spends a fortune on storing them.

The Rolling Stones star only ever plays 15 of them onstage or in a recording studio.

Richards has amassed a huge haul of instruments during his five decades in the music industry, but most of his prized collection is gathering dust in.

Rocker Ronnie Wood is eyeing a slot at next year's U.K. music festival Glastonbury - he wants The Rolling Stones to reunite on stage for the first time in three years at the iconic event. Elton John's friends once spiked his dinner with cocaine to make him play the piano all-night. In a new documentary focusing on how he became a superstar in America, the singer-and-pianist reveals his pals put the class A drug in his food to improve his performance.

Elton, 63, said, "I left at 7.30 in the morning and I thought, 'I've never stayed up until 7.30 before but I feel really good!' Years later I learned they had put cocaine in my food." Rocker Danny Hutton, who played in U.S. rock band Three Dog Night, admitted he was behind the spiking, saying "I might have forgot to tell him. Well it certainly didn't hurt him. He went on to be quite successful."

The documentary, titled "Madman Across the Water: The Making of Elton", charts Elton's rise from an unknown British musician to a huge star in the late 60s and early 70s.

Rocker Ronnie Wood has set his sights on conquering Hollywood when he finally retires from The Rolling Stones. The guitarist was offered a role on U.S. TV hit "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" after admitting to producers he's a huge fan of the show, but had to turn it down due to scheduling conflicts.

And he admits he'd love to try his hand at acting, when he's not so busy rocking. Wood tells WENN, "Acting's something I haven't even scratched on. I nearly played a safecracker on CSI. They offered me the role, but I was too busy."

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne has denied speculation political tensions in the Middle East have prevented him from performing in Israel until this month, blaming his years of heavy drinking for keeping him away from the country.

The Black Sabbath frontman will play his first ever show there when he headlines the Tel Aviv leg of his Ozzfest tour on Tuesday, September 28. Artists such as Elvis Costello, Carlos Santana and the Pixies have vowed to boycott concerts in Israel to in protest of its government's policy towards Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, but Osbourne insists the long-running political feud has never been of concern to him.

When asked why he has never played a gig in Israel before, the former hellraiser says, "I guess I was drunk for so many years... I try to stay away from politics. They don't understand me and I don't understand them."...

Rocker Ronnie Wood has finally learned how to use the internet - so he can have regular chats with his daughter Leah in Australia. The Rolling Stones guitarist found it confusing to master emails and online phone network Skype, but Leah's move Down Under earlier this year forced him to wise up to modern technology.

She tells Britain's Hello! magazine, "Mum was a bit upset (when I relocated), but you've got to experience life. Dad was fine about it, too. I've been too busy to even plan for them coming to visit. Thank goodness for email and Skype, which dad can handle now."

The Rolling Stones founder Brian Jones' death will be reviewed 40 years later. The late guitarist's cause of death will be re-examined after Sussex police were handed new information.

Jones was just 27 when he was discovered unresponsive at the bottom of his swimming pool in July 1969. The coroner's report stated that it was "death by misadventure," though speculations saying he was murdered continued.

According to BBC, a spokesman for Sussex police said they received new documents connected with his death, prompting the review. However, he added that it was still too early to launch a fresh investigation.

Jones - born Lewis Brian Hopkins Jones - founded the legendary rock band in 1962.

Activision today announced a new feature for Guitar Hero 5, scheduled for release September 1, that's sure to get people excited. At launch, players will be able to import their Xbox 360 Avatars as playable characters and rock out to the game's 85-song set list. Xbox Avatars will also get a Guitar Hero makeover in the game.s Create-a-Rocker mode, where players can further customize their Avatars with exclusive Guitar Hero clothing and accessories. Guitar Hero 5's set list includes tons of classic and current rock hits from artists such as The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, Kings of Leon, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Vampire Weekend.
