    Kirby, hmm

This is a good game and all but a few things must be addressed before we all assume that hes a innocent little pink ball! Such as the fact, He can look like you and then no one will know who's who?! And also how is he doing this he's mearly a pink orb of unobtainable power! So this must be the sacred gift send down from the gods to smite down evil! But wait he is killing the innocent and possibly the good, must we make such a sacrifice to this pink orb of death? How do we know he's not among us right now! He could be watching us waiting for the right time to strike before he swallows you! And speaking of that where does it all go!? Is he the bond between this world and the world of the gods!? if so we need to send all available troops to attempt to capture this "portal of evil" . For think of all the things hes sending to appease the gods. Does that mean we must sacrifice all that we can ever have just to seem good in the eyes of the gods. This is a sign we must try to stop this "portal" from sending everything past the portal for who knows where at leads anyway? it could be your death bed or it could be your eternal life! We must put an end to this "portal" at ounce!

A great start for Kirby in 3D

While I was never a very big fan of Kirby as a kid, this game was still an enjoyable experience for me while growing up.

The fairy inhabited planet Ripple Star has been invaded by a malevolent force known as Dark Matter. One of the fairies, Ribbon, flees with a sacred crystal, only to be intercepted by Dark Matter and the crystal is subsequently shattered. The shards are scattered all over while Ribbon crash lands on Pop Star. There, she meets Kirby, who quickly volunteers to help her. Along the way, they are joined by Waddle Dee, Adeiline the Artist, and even King Dedede to collect the crystal shards and thwart Dark Matter's plans.

I would have hoped the environment would be fully 3D, like Super Mario 64 or Ocarina of Time. Instead, we got a 2.5D platformer adventure that follows the same side-scrolling formula of past Kirby games with a mobile camera thrown in. Nevertheless, the game was still fun. The controls were easy and quick to get used to. The worlds and levels were brightly colored and lively, as typical for a Kirby game and the music was playful and cheery. You'll see plenty of enemies return from previous game and the boss battles were enjoyable, especially the last two.

The best feature was the interesting combination-based ability copying allows you to use over 30 different abilities. Some are stronger and cooler than others, like the double-bladed sword, triple missile launcher, and a giant, soaring fireball. And since some crystal shards are hidden behind multi-colored walls that require certain powers to destroy, you'll be using a lot of them. This is especially important if you wish to truly beat the game, since collecting all of the crystal shards is necessary to fight the final boss.

My main gripe is that the game isn't very difficult and was meant for young gamers at the time. There's almost no voice acting except for a few voice clips from Kirby. There was a multiplayer mode, but I never tried it as a kid.

Overall, this was a fun, memorable game and a good transfer to 3D for everyone's favorite pink puffball.

The best game game of the pink Marshmallow.

Kirby The Crystal Shards is the best game of the mysterious pink ball(Can it be a Marshmallow). This is the Kirby game with most abilities. You can combine two types of enemies to make new abilities. The graphics are very colorful and very beautiful. The game does not have voices(Kirby only shouts sometimes), but the musics are good. The game has simple controls. The game is very cool because of the high number of abilities you can use. My scores:

    GRAPHICS-9/10 SOUND-8/10 GAMEPLAY-9/10 FUN FACTOR-10/10

    My overalls: 9/10

    Top 25 N64 games: number 25.
