When The Cramp Twins first started, I loved it. But the later episodes are really repetitive, unoriginal and random, not to mention predictable. The story lines were often simple which isn't a bad thing, but while the early episodes had humour that was funny, the later episodes don't work up to that level, in fact the humour in the later episodes is juvenile and really random.
The animation was pretty good, the colours were bright and the characters were interestingly drawn, while I was never a fan of the theme tune I often loved the incidental music. The writing was to start off humorous and engaging, but like the humour it became juvenile. I had mixed feelings on the characters.
I always liked Lucien and Tony, and I did like Wayne until the writers went overboard and made him a completely unlikeable jerk. The parents had their moments but they weren't enough to make them completely likable, while I never could stand Wendy. On a plus side, the only really consistently good asset was the voice acting, both Tom Kenny and Kath Soucie are great as Wayne and Lucien. Overall, it was a good show but then it became random and juvenile and I didn't like it as much. 6/10 Bethany Cox

To be honest, I got interested in this show last year, But looking back at this today.. Well now there's black cruel spirit into it. Fox and Cartoon Network had nothing to do with it. This was a true nightmare. The biggest flaw I have with it is.. FoxBox's 1st one character they call charming Wow, praising backstabbing comic reliefs How outstanding.... But that would the be the worst character in the series That would be Wayne Cramp. He's just a mix of Sonic, Both Naruto and Sasuke, Mordecai (while being a jerk) Gumball and Bloo. And what kind of lame catchphrase would he say Girl pants. Ah, Wayne you pedophile! I never wanna see you traitor and your dirty shenanigans ever again! 5/10 Mediorce

Why are some twins different? Watch The Cramp Twins and you'll see that not all twins are the same, Wayne and Lucien Cramp (Wayne is the blue kid, Lucien is the normal coloured kid!) Wayne is pure evil, terrorises his brother, lives on sugar loves collecting Junk. Lucien is eco-friendly, eats healthily and is a vegaterian, knits, and hangs around The Swamp with his best friend Tony Parsons, who by the way is REALLY tiny! Thier mother is a complete neat/clean freak and their father just wants to be a cowboy all the time. They all live in Soapcity. I first caught The Cramp Twins on Cartoon Network and just thought it was so sureal, it just so funny, and it helped that i like work of the main characters, Wayne is voiced by the fab Tom 'SpongeBob Squarepants' Kenny and Lucien by Kath Soucie who is Phil and Lil from 'Rugrats' and Rodney and Megan from the equally fab show 'Baby Blues', i have looked at a lot of web sites about voice actors, and no mention of Cramp Twins are on there, i'm assuming you don't get it in America, which is weird, but hopefully, some of you may have seen it.

Although this is not the best of the best that cartoon network had to offer, it's definitely way better than people claim. In fact, it's pretty good! Yes, this is not as good as courage the cowrdy dog, samurai jack or powerpuff girl, but it' a very unique and chill show which manages to be weird but still remaining chill. The humor is different from most anything else, being pretty direct and rough, not trying to be too crazy or too complex either, but it's effective and enjoyable. The world is very unique as well and it remains grounded in reality, more so than any comedy that I've seen on cartoon network, which I find fascinating. It's basically a semi-realistic, semi-comedy show that I don't think you can find anywhere else.
The downside is that it tends to be a bit bland and simplistic. Anyway, this is one of the most underrated cartoon shows along side spaced out and maybe ozzy and drix, although not as good as the last two.

A few years ago when I was a bit younger, I used to not mind this show(I'm now 16). But when I saw it again last month I must say that it was just plain boring and annoying to me. It's still full of the same old rubbish and nothing has changed.
It is all about two twin brothers called Wayne and Lucien Cramp who have nothing at all in common and look nothing like each other. Lucien is like a nature boy who's always hanging round an old swamp and Wayne's like a hard man who likes playing with metal and junk from a scrap yard for some reason. They both dislike each other and are always fighting and at war with each other and after watching several or more episodes of the series this becomes really irritating and just makes you want to jump into your TV set and strangle them both.
Overall this show has its few moments but for most of the time its just annoying. I'm shocked its still on TV after three or four years now. I give The Cramp Twins 3/10 stars. There are many far more impressive kids shows on TV today, do not waste too much time on this one.

The Cramp Twins is a supremely entertaining show that'll never fail to tickle your funny bone. Set in the fictional town of Soap City, the story is about two brothers in the Cramp family and their day-to-day adventures and experiences.
Although they are twins, Lucien and Wayne share little in common. Lucien is the Nature-loving gentle soul always looking for ways to protect and nurture the swamp, while Wayne is the aggressive angry boy who likes spending time at the junkyard with close friend, Dirty Joe. Their opposite mannerisms often put them on collision course with hilarious results. Voiced by the brilliant Tom Kenny, blue-colored Wayne Cramp really makes this show stand out. His sadistic yet lovable attitude will have you in splits. Despite being averse to Nature, he is successfully able to recycle and re-use various household items on a daily basis. Lucien, however, is into Nature but doesn't possess any of these attributes. And that's all part of the ironic charm that makes The Cramp Twins the wonderful social satire it is. It delightfully examines the abuse inflicted on the environment by greedy corporations and heavy industries.
Overall, the show is well written and voiced by a talented cast. The animation art is easy on the eyes and quite innovative. A must-watch. Kudos to Brian Wood!

The Cramp Twins is best described as a warped view on adolescent life. Lucien and Waye are at each others throats constantly yet still remain brothers at arms when the heat is on from other sources. Their mother is a clean freak, and dad is a cowboy nut, so no wonder they have issues! The show can drag at times, and is not always side splittingly funny, but the overall effect is wonderful. Speaking as a twin I can relate to the Cramp's various troubles. If nothing else the Cramp Twins will leave you giggling, and if you are up to the oddity it can leave you rolling on the floor.

First I watched this cartoon 2 years ago, after three episodes I understood that this is stupid cartoon about stupid unreal people. First Cramp family. Brainless father, mother with soapy brain, aggressive Wayne, Lucien, who supposed to be smart, is just to obsessed with ecology, healthy food etc... Winkle family is another strange family, rich, fat, stupid aggressive father, Wendy, who is too obsessed with Wayne and hate all other children and people etc. Parsons family is just... just ancient, they have never visited school, they don't have paper, they live near Cramp family, but in a house made of junk near bog. If characters and situations from many other cartoons can be projected on real people, these are too unreal and not funny, that is the reason for not to watch this cartoon.

I mean like, when I was little I didn't watch TV often...So, when my brother showed me this....I was NAUSEOUS.
Sure, it's not the a$$ shaking of Breadwinners Sure, it's not as lazy as 12 oz. mouse Sure, It didn't give me as bad as a headache as annoying orange or problem solverz.
But this was just....NO. PLEASE. NO. I BEG OF YOU. FRICKIN' NO. GOD PLEASE HELP US. PLEEEEEASSSSEEEEE.
The one and only episode I ever saw of this show? Spit collector.
When you look at the title you'll see the name of the writer-- How fitting for this episode. No offense to you.
Not only Wayne was annoying in this episode, but in the series.
Some advertisement comes on for these candies that fiz out of your mouth. Wayne has the candies, eats too many, and goes to the other room.
Wayne at dinner can't seem to sit still. The other twin (I don't know how to spell his name) tells on him.
Wayne is a jerk, His brother is bland. His mom is nagging, Just like everyone else, In this trend that's sagging. (credit goes to that YouTuber TheMysteriousMrEnter)
Wayne gets addicted to those candies, like it's a drug.
WOW, Cartoon Network. WOW.
I mean like at least you don't see those bad CN shows often--At least they're ashamed. Unlike Nickelodeon, because THEY seem to be proud of shows like....
this list is gonna be really long so you might want to scroll.
Fanboy and ChumChum Fred The Show Marvin Marvin Sanjay and Craig Planet Sheen Breadwinners Nick Studio 10 Mr. Meaty Awesomeness TV Peppa Pig Rabbids Invasion Pig Goat Banana Cricket Oggy and the COCKroaches. You know why I put the first four letters in caps
You know what, there's at least 30 bad Nickelodeon shows, so before I get even more side tracked, let's continue with why this show sucks.
Wayne can't seem to find more candies, so he gets the from the dumpster, as he is still acting insanely, the writing continues to be lazy..
Wayne picks as much spit as possible--This is where I get really nauseous--He shows off his spit and it's "wonderful uses" Then they take it to the doctor, where they learn it's not his. Wayne has the saliva of a 80-year-old woman. The crying begins. They believe it's the symptom of something greater. I know the rest of the story, but it's too disturbing to hear. Wayne ends up in the hospital. And to be honest, who came up with the color and shapes AND the humor / Characters? Apes? (credit to TheMysteriousMrEnter again) Well, if you exuse me, I have to go puke. After reading this review, you might, too.

The Cramp Twins was a show on Cartoon Network Europe in the Early 2000's but I never Saw it on the USA Cartoon Network. Anyway the show has really ugly Animation & the Voice Talents of Tom Kenny & Kath Soucie. I didn't see the Show until 2019 on YouTube . Anyway this show is about Wayne & Lucien Cramp & their misadventures. Wayne is Mean to Lucien & acts like a Jerk to him. The Mom is really weird in this show & their this Girl Wendy who's obsessed Wayne & Her Dad is the Boss of Mr. Cramp. Anyway I really wouldn't recommended this show but there is a fanbase to this series but for me I would stay away 1/10

This grotesque and rather lurid show carried with it a morbidly fascinating character.
A collection of characters who are all filthy in one way or another be it Wayne's fixation on junk, Lucien's nature worship or indeed their own mysophobia Mother who is totally the kind of person that lets fascism happen, the worst filth of all.
On paper the conflict that emerges among this cluster should probably write itself but it didn't play out that way. There is a viciousness about this show and even the writers seem desperate to punish these characters in a way that is more malicious than karmic. Most of them sort of deserve it. Even Lucien is pretty sanctimonious but his heart's in the right place and it's refreshing that the nerd character actually likes dirt and is self-critical about his own sexism.
I liked the father, this vision of blue collar masculinity who lives for his childhood passion (cowboy lifestyle). Looking back, that was actually pretty poignant.
The most likable characters I suppose were the swamp people and worst of all was Wendy Winkle: the egomaniacal heiress whose harassment of rascally Wayne was played for laughs because she was a girl and the victim was a boy.
The animation style is unlovely and unappealling. It's not even purposefully crude like South Park.
I reviewed this because I saw it come up here but I think its best if it just becomes a foot note in animation history.
Occasionally there were happy endings...

When I originally saw the commercials for The Cramp Twins, I was curious, but not really excited. The animation looked rather disappointing (the black lines around each character and the bizzare colors don't really add to the effect), but I decided to give it a shot anyway. After just a few episodes, I realized that something: IT SUCKS! The characters are flatter than cardboard, and I'm not talking about the animation style. Lucien is a dork, Wayne is a psycho, their mom is a neat-freak to end all neat-freaks, and their father... well, he's just an idiot.
The whole show makes my stomach turn, there's nothing new or original about it, and watching Wayne and Lucien fight is a disappointment (Wayne calls him "girl-pants", which was funny for the first five minutes, but now it's just annoying). Their friends are even weirder; Lucien hangs out with a boy who is about a foot tall, and apparently from a tribe of Swamp People (as if that makes any sense).
This show is a living nightmare, and needs to be canceled as soon as possible.

I remember when this cartoon first came on Cartoon Network. I just thought "Cool, another cartoon", when the adverts were shown as I was little then and I liked my cartoons. My mum doesn't like this. It is stupid, but it is for little kids who like a cartoon to watch. I thought it was quite funny at first because of the things Wayne says like "girl pants" or "lizard breath" to his brother geeky Lucien. But it will get boring through time.
I didn't actually mind this programme. I did watch it occasionally and I still might if there's nothing on. I still love cartoons and I do still like watching Cartoon Network because some of my favourites are still on there. But if you want and unusually funny, silly cartoon to watch, tune into The Cramp Twins.

The show has some charm and fun to it. I had no idea it actually went on for 4 seasons and I can tell on a re-watch, that 4 seasons was very generous In respect to the actual depth of worthwhile content the show could churn out.
Cramp Twins is at its heart, over the top Slice of Life, following brothers Lucien and Wayne on their everyday adventures. Their everyday adventures aren't exactly normal. They live in a small city near a swamp and somehow their lives are jam packed and there's numerous ways for Lucien and Wayne to find themselves in all kinds of trouble and adventures. Side characters also play their part, the brother's friends and family act as the supporting cast and they do a decent job of it, though there's little development for any character really.
Cramp Twins has a bit of charm to it, in it's prime the humour is cynical yet passable, the character shaped out well enough and the variety in episodic segments is initially worth getting into. The show is a tad mean spirited. It loves to take a dig at its characters and make fun of them. Most of the time it's controlled but as the seasons progress the show becomes more of a joke on itself. Animation and plot suffer in the last 2 seasons of the show as the adventures become either too far fetched or bland, generally losing inspiration.
I had some fun watching this show, I rolled my eyes watching this show, in the end, it's worth it for the nostalgia, nothing else really .

Don't know why I liked this show. Maybe because of the character Wayne Cramp. He reminds me of myself. Though he's a twin, I like that he looks nothing like his brother Lucien Cramp nor his family. I like Wayne Cramp is purple-looking. He's my favourite character. I hate the character Wendy Winkle who sadly has a huge crush on Wayne. I don't want them two together. Wayne gladly hates Wendy an awful lot. The tv series would've been better had Wendy had nothing to do with Wayne. Wayne is a boy that should be left alone. Wayne needs a girlfriend but not Joanne ;) He's a loner and has no friends apart from this Dirty Joe who you can't see for some reason. Why? It didn't matter, however. Looks like Wayne's only friend. I liked that Wayne has no friends, but it would've been better if he had. Wayne is cool and he "eats pain for breakfast" ;) His brother, Lucien, I like also and has friends though more would've been better. Tony needed to be tall. For some reason, he is short. I liked how their mother, Lucien and Wayne, is obsessed with being "clean". I like their father too who has a cool job as a Salesman selling soap products :) I only wished their family were rich, but not like the Winkles. Wayne Cramp needed a few things like tv in his room, a gaming console and satellite along with all this junk :) I like the junkyard where Wayne is usually at. I like the Swamp. How huge is it? Hmm... Are the Winkle family Swamp people? It's still unclear, but I think they are, and just Wendy Winkle has no idea that she is in fact "Swamp". I'm laughing at her, and "they" would too if she is a Swamp folk. She hates the Swamp. Wendy is butt ugly. Tony has a job in the sewers due to his stature, but it is dangerous. I still liked it. I saw every episode of "The Cramp Twins" on BBC and Cartoon Network (evening) Seasons 1 & 2. Unfortunately, there just wasn't enough episodes, and the show desperately needed Seasons 3 & 4. 100 episodes would've been perfect plus a movie at the end. I liked how each episode is like 10-15 minutes. In the movie (1 hrs), Wayne and Lucien have a girlfriend each, and they discover Wendy is a Swamp person. She cries and her family escape from Soap City like that. I don't want to see this ever again. All these episodes are stuck in my head. 6/10.
