This is the movie for 2010s but made a decade ago by the genius. You will travel in to a different world (Nandhu's hell) and will definitely take a few days to come out of it.

Costliest movie made in Indian Cinema at that time and the movie justifies the budget. You are in for a visual treat, terrific work by the cinematographer Tirru.

A song or two could have been avoided to trim the movie length however the last 30mins will bring you to the seat edge. Tattoos, body arts are new in that era and look international.

What KH cannot do?

Legend of South has one more to amaze us. I have seen hindi version where songs lyrics understandably cannot match the desired thrust.

As we know all these is fantasy but wel-portayed. Manisha Koiral small role adds the treat.

I read reviews form a lot of people and places.. and most of them said this movie was pretty bad.. but i think most of the people are looking at this movie from too narrow of a mindset..

this movie is about abhay and vijay.. abhay is suffering from schizophrenia which becomes even worse after he starts experimenting with all kinds of psychedelic drugs.. this movie takes you to journey through the delusioned and schizophrenic mind of abhay.. and tries to show you what is going on in there..

all what i can say is.. this is one of those rare indian movies which might not be for everyone to see.

This movie is like a mixture of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Silence of the Lambs, and Face Off. But its unique in it's own way and pretty unusual for a Hindi movie. The acting performances are good, and especially the drug trips are great to watch. This movie has cult potential.

Normally I am a huge fan of Kamal, and somehow this film also managed to grab my attention!

Alavandhan successfully showcases the extreme talent of Kamal Hasan, as pulling off two very different roles is no less than a challenge. The music is pretty good and what really engaged me was the gripping atmosphere throughout.

However, I would not give the film a full rating as the concluding elements really drag a bit!

Anyhow, it's a great experience! My rating would be 8.2 out of 10. Definitely worth a watch.
