I think God for the transparency of this film, showing the flaws of Brother Jenkins as well as his faith in God through Jesus Christ.
I am not just a critic of the film, but I'm also a testimony of the ministry that God gave him supernaturally.
I personally was in a crusade in Texas sitting in the back of the auditorium amongst thousands, brother Leroy came to me and spoke words to me they don't like God in heaven knew!
I was from Missouri and I had been praying for my cousin Dean that the mayo clinic headset home to die with no hope and I had been praying for him for six months every Tuesday night with the laying on of hands.
I had never met Brother Leroy in my life, he walked all the way to the back of the auditorium and called me out and told me that I was praying for a family member that the doctors it's at home to die and that God was going to heal him.
There is no way naturally that he could know this, but it was true, I went back continuing to pray for my cousin Dean and he fully recovered from his time of devastation brought on by the enemy and will supernaturally healed just as Brother Leroy prophesied.
People that criticize this video and the ministry brother Leroy are people who primarily don't know who Jesus Christ is and that believe that his people are supposed to be perfect, God's people are not perfect but we are forgiven unlock the world who does not believe in Jesus are still in their sin, Christians who have believed in Jesus have been exonerated from their sins.
So to all the critics out there, make sure that you have met Brother Leroy and Ben to his meetings before you make your acertation of his validity.

This movie was so much better than I thought it would be. I have seen several of Damian's movies, and I thought the truthfulness of this character was outstanding. When I compared this to Robert Duval's "the Apostle", this is so much better in truthfulness. First of all, I am very much "in tune" with the Holy Spirit and His work in the church. This was so truthful I could sense the anointing when Damian was performing his activities as a Spirit-filled pastor. Without commenting on the actual person's life being portrayed, This portrayal of a Spirit filled pastor doing the works of God using the gifts of the Holy Spirit is as actual as any spirit filled church in the Pentecostal world. The prison scenes were also poignant and realistic. The writing was also clear and covered the life in a superb conciseness. There were a few scenes in the original family setting that lost some truthfulness, but other than those few, the rest were "right on".
Thank you, Damian Chapa, for shining a light on a man of faith. It, Man of Faith, worked wonders in me. I bought the DVD from a 3/$1 shelf, lucky me it's a treasure. I Am so grateful. Praise God He can do such good work through you. Blessings' Best, H. J.
I couldn't wait to see this movie. I had seen some previews which stirred my curiosity. I hoped some questions would be answered, like when Jenkins says the Spirit loves us but he's as mean as fire--or something of that nature. I wanted to get the background on that comment, but the movie offered no further insight. All in all though I found the film captivating, despite my having very little use and patience for so many films made today. I was especially touched by the prison scenes and the revealing depictions of Jenkins with his family. . .just all of the human elements.
Like someone else said, I would like to have seen more even if it meant parts 2 and 3. There were just so many important aspects that shape the story; they were kind of crammed into the too small space of 2 hours (or whatever the length was.)Actually, probably, what I would have rather seen is more of a documentary. Now THAT would be my cup of tea.

The lord gave me a near fatal paper cut for reading Michael Chriton's Congo. While in the hospital hoping the lord and his doctors could save my finger I found this on the television. After 2 hours of the droning voice overs, sparsely dressed sets and so much gibberish I fell asleep. Fours days later the paper cut was healed! Praise him!! After that I dedicated my life to selling nonsense to idiots. Someday if I make enough money for the lord I hope he'll tell me what sins he was holding over Faye Dunaway and Brad Dourif that they had to pick up that paycheck.
I am pleased to see the lord has blessed the director with a background role in an ignored Woody Allen film.
