I'd heard about this movie on some chat show or something where Jenny McCarthy was talking about it, but had never heard anything other than that, however I caught it on TV today and was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
While I thought both leads were very good, and I love Paul Dooley, what I really liked about this movie is that I think it was made for an "adult" audience, meaning an audience sophisticated enough to accept people who are somewhat flawed as romantic leads, and who can appreciate a plot which is not written in crayon. This movie does not follow the traditional romantic comedy plot line and I found that very intriguing.
I'd definitely watch it again!

Amazing! Over the years, I have discovered some of the most original and memorable films on late, late night TV and this is definitely another one of those little gems. Probably the most charming thing a movie like this can deliver is absolute unpredictability. You watch; you immediately discover these fully-developed, charming, complicated, quirky, fascinating characters -- and they just take over. They simply start to do their thing and it's not like anything you have ever seen before -- because you've never seen these characters anywhere else before. Wonderful! It's called originality and it has become a very rare thing in a movie from any major studio. This film is completely absorbing and entertaining -- every minute is an adventure -- and you just do not want it to end.
You have to wonder -- how did this miss getting noticed when it first came out? Was it a bad title? In this case, it seems they couldn't decide which of the two titles to use. Yes; you will find it under BOTH IMDb-listed titles! Was it simply the failure of the marketing department? Obviously, lame titles and poor marketing have torpedoed the release of many a fine film. But wow -- what an inspired script -- complete with sparkling dialog. The film is superbly directed -- and just look at the class-A on screen talent here! Jenny McCarthy is truly sublime in this role.

i saw this movie on TV and also enjoyed it very much, a great movie to see with the girls and those guys that don't mind a bit of girly talk and wit dialog.
it's not so much for the comical side (although it had great moments, not loud laughs but those that stay inside and make you giggle) but for the way this boy meets girl flick presented the whole meeting thing. the dialogue is very natural, not that i would talk that way, but is does seem credible. some quotes are worth remembering, as i always say, cause you never know in what kind of situation you are going to put yourself into. it's good to have a reply ready.
i really liked jenny, mostly for the fact, that she is dressed up to her neck for the entire movie and not showing off her silicon breasts. she can act, good for her, she might have a brilliant future in the movies.

I saw this film at a preview with some film execs. I am a fan of Matt Miller as well as a huge fan of Susan Landau's work. I thought this was a cleverly written film and was constructed in a similar way. The film definitely is for a specific age group ranging from 18-40. Jenny and Chris were great in their roles as as everyone else. I recommend this film to anyone who could use a good laugh.
An enjoyable underrated film about how fate can often influence people's lives, especially when they are least expecting it. Particularly amusing was the love/hate relationship between the two leads. The highlight being the restaurant scene.
Surprisingly good was Jenny McCarthy in the lead female role, I say surprisingly because I later learned that she used to model for playboy magazine. She seems to be criminally underused in the film business and deserves to be given more good parts in the future.
In summary, a really good, little romantic comedy.
