Threadbare animation but good cast of animal characters and good voice acting with reasonable story lines make this a better than good show. I like it as an adult. The reboot is very bad in every way .

I remember watching this as a kid every morning before school. Now I have a kid of my own who seems to like the show as much as I did. Watching it with him brings me back to my childhood, it's such a great wholesome show. Clifford will never be the same without John Ritter. That's why I'm only showing my son the older Clifford's when John Ritter voiced Clifford.

What a pleasure this 2005-6-7-8 series is. Huge budgeted live action versions that followed on the big screen and worst of all the current low quality television series, do not come close to the original series. Also the excellent Warner Bros., "Clifford's Puppy Days" and " Clifford's Really Big Movie" are the heart of this iconic and treasured publishing brand. Actors such as the wonderful John Ritter and Head Writer Sunday McKay crafted wonderful storylines and acting, Children over many demographics have enjoyed these programs over the years and PBS is still the most trusted children's brand in the USA. My kids and now Grandkids have enjoyed and indeed learned from this very big dog!!

As I child I learned to read with the books from the "Clifford" series. Not only were the stories lesson teachers, but they were funny as well. After channel surfing one afternoon, I came across "Clifford the Big Red Dog" on PBS. I have to say that it is quite good! Yes, it is indeed a kids show, but not sticky sweet to the point that adults in the room have to leave the area. In fact, for animation buffs, this show proves that traditional pen and ink cartoons still have life, and reaches back to the days where cartoons were simply told in short ten minute episodes, and not all new animated programs have to depend on computer 3-D animation, bathroom humor, or violence to entertain. As for kids....this show can only spark an interest in them to pick up a book and read.

I love this show. I am 35 years old now. This is the best show for kids and older people. I think pbs did a good move adding this to the kids line up of shows. I love way Clifford and dog pals talk. The stories are the best as well. I know that people need a show for kids and not a lame one either. I loved the circus and Clifford with the elephant. Too much fun!
