NASCAR Racers (1999) was canceled after the death of Dale Earnhardt in the February 18, 2001 Daytona 500. So the sport can make serious safety measures.
The show's soundtrack was co-composed by Shuki Levy and Haim Saban (under the alias Kussa Mahchi). The two had previously composed for a similar animated program called Michel Vaillant (1990), which also revolved around race car drivers. Additionally, the program featured many of the same voice actors, such as Ian James Corlett and Scott McNeil. This was because both were recorded at Ocean Studios in Vancouver, Canada.
