Pappayude Swantham Appoos

All the actors performed really well. Perfect script and direction. Mammootty as a widower who is struggling to show his affection to his son and hiding grief of his wife's death. The kid won the award for best child artist for this movie, a well deserved award for the stupendous acting especially in the second half of the movie. Suresh Gopi and Shankaradi also did their part well, especially the later delivered some good humorous scenes. The movie will make you cry especially the climax.

Felt like the casting of the lady who did the role of meenakshi was a mis-caste may be someone else could have done that roll better.

Director Fazil is known for his family based sentimental dramas. Pappayude Swantham Appoos is a movie of this genre. It revolves around the relationship between Appus(Master Bahudshah)and his papa(Mammooty), a widower. Into their life comes a girl Meenakshi (Seena dadi) and the rest of the movie revolves on these three characters.

What makes the simple story work is great direction ,script and acting especiallly by Mammooty and Bahudshah. The songs of the film are classics and pictuarised very well.The highlight of the movie is the last half hour which has mammooty at his finest... on the negative side the movie is sometimes melodramatic.
