Sad that this cartoon series which could have been a great launching pad for taking the Avengers to a much bigger audience outside of comic book readers is so bad. The choice of feature characters was not too bad itself, but the way in which they were drawn, written and pretty much changed all around is a terrible step backwards for Avengers. With so much history and mega epics to draw from, the makers of this series decided it was best to go the cheap and cheesy way, and make a cartoon for little children in the hopes of maybe selling a few action figures. This series has no punch. The Avengers deserve better than this, and hopefully they will have their moment soon enough!
Avoid this series at all cost!

This was unwatchable.
The Big 4(Thor, Cap, Iron Man and Hulk) was not in this series. But why????
The whole quality of this show was really bad. I got through maybe 1 and a half episodes and I quit.
The characters looked like buff and rigid androids in their suits. Even the suits didn't come close to the comics.
Verdict: Stay Away.

A cute show! Full of great Marvel characters, a lot of them actually! Liked the plot, the different storylines and sup-plot from the comics, it's a 7/10 from me!
It doesn't bother me to break with tradition, if the replacement is as good or better. But this is clearly not the case. First, it looks like most of the time they will be fighting robots with lasers as opposed to people, a transparent effort to get a Y rating. Then there's the costumes. ugh. Ugly. Hawkeye's is worst of all. Only Wonderman, Vision, and Falcon's look any good at all. Next there's the characters. My main complaints on this front are pretty much just Hawkeye and Ultron. Hawkeye is this blown up tough guy, who I guess is supposed to be the Avengers' Wolverine but is really bad at it. Ultron is an insane robot who, in the series, is given a completely blown up body with lots of stupid looking external parts. His character doesn't seem to be very intelligent at all
The overall look isn't to impressive either. Like I said, it's setting in the future is an excuse to use lasers instead of guns and robots instead of people. Mark my words, you will not see anyone die (at least permanently) in it's whole run because of it's tameness.

Animation shows have come a long way since 1999. Watching "Avengers: United We Stand" felt like going back in time and observing a relic of the past. Certainly 1999 was almost twenty years ago, more than half my lifetime and I think if I was a child when the show came out I would have given it a much higher score. I recognize that rating the show's quality on today's standards will be skewed and partisan. Keeping this in mind I will review the show as a modern viewer intended for a modern audience. If you are a die hard fan of the Avengers and/or have nostalgic feelings towards the turn of the 21st century era than this show will appeal to you. The thirteen episodes in season one (and the only season for this series) focus on the Avengers team comprised of Ant Man, Wasp, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Vison, Falcon, Tigris, and Wonderman. They battle to save the planet (it wasn't enough to save just Earth) against the likes of Ultron (who was created by Ant Man) and the Zodiac squad. The line of up Avenger characters was surprisingly refreshing. Although stalwart characters like Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow and Black Panther were missing, I found this cast of characters enjoyable to watch with their varied personalities and gender balancing ratio.
The biggest criticism I have of the show is that the story line was too one-dimensional. Almost like the show "Scooby Doo," each episode had a very formulaic structure where the Avengers needed to save the day and by the end mission was completed. I understand with a superhero show there's only so much variety you can have but I think what could have improved the plot would. have been delving into the backstory of the characters. Each of the Avengers seemed to have a lot of interesting history but virtually none of it was explored. The animation though simple and a little pixelated was colorful and the characters were attractive. Overall "Avengers: United We Stand" is a fun throwback show from yesteryears but unless you are looking for a nostalgic respite from the modern fast paced and intricate Avengers series I wouldn't waste my time.

- CuriosidadesTentative plans for additional episodes featured: Hawkeye's return to the carnival where he grew up; an exploration of how Scarlet Witch discovered her powers; guest appearances by the X-Men, which would have utilized the Toronto-based cast from the series since Tony Daniels, Lenore Zann, and Ron Rubin had already worked on X-Men (1992); Dr. Robert Bruce Banner (a.k.a. The Incredible Hulk) appearing to help the team when Henry Pym/Ant Man fell ill to gamma radiation exposure during a fight with the Egg-Head; and a two-part episode featuring Thor and his brother Loki (there was even a Thor toy made for the show's line of action figures). However, all plans were scrapped when the show did not return for a second season.
- Erros de gravaçãoIn the series opening, Wonder Man's name is misspelled Wonderman.
