A good case for family planning

Two obnoxious, spoiled rotten, trampy 13 year old twin sisters go vacationing in Paris, their impossibly "cute" adventures are the center of this G-rated puke fest, insulting everybody's intelligence (and the French) along the way. And what is Matt McCoy doing in this mess?. Parents take note: this is NOT the way your kids are supposed to be raised. Depressing.

    Just another Olsen movie...

I've watched this movie a few times and it just gets worse every time. At first I thought this movie was... cute. I mean the twins' clothes weren't so bad. The guys are quite fortunate-looking, lousy accent aside, though I cannot understand what these seemingly normal boys see in those two self-centered, shallow, spoiled brats. Anyway the Olsen twins acted horrendously as expected. However in this Olsen movie, and, I've noticed, the ones after, BOTH of the girls are bimbos wearing too much make-up and drooling over boys. Previously one of them would have a grungier style and a clearer conscience. Like all Olsen movies, the plot is predictable and the twins managed to save themselves and in this case the rest of France. I really don't recommend watching it more than once, especially if you're not into family movies.

Cheesy almost to the point of being good.

This movie is deliciously cheesy, and undoubtedly a childhood favorite. If you're looking for a "quality" film, you obviously won't find it here-- but that's the whole point of Mary-Kate and Ashley's movies. They aren't really meant to be quality. They're meant to ooze a sort of hokey charm that you can't help but roll your eyes at. They aren't meant to be taken seriously, and obviously the general population takes itself too seriously to see that.

"Passport to Paris" is chock-full of poorly written dialogue, cheesy editing, and a ridiculous plot-- which I can say all only continue to contribute to its hilarity.

It isn't meant to be a prestigious indie film, so why treat it as such? If you have the guts to stop being a self-titled "film aficionado" for 90 minutes or so, I suggest that you lay your pride aside and let yourself chuckle at the "so-bad-it's-good" essence that encompasses this movie.

You can wear too much lip gloss...

Now I see why the Olsen Twins' movies are straight-to-video. This was by far the worst Olsen twins movie I have ever seen. They were cute on Full House...even though they couldn't act. But now that they are older it's just a turn-off. I found them extremely vapid and shallow in this movie. They had that whole "oh my god, like , he's so cute" thing going on.

These are the kind of girls that everyone hates in school, or at least I do. Mary-Kate used to be the tomboyish one, but now she has taken along the shallow, boy crazy role that Ashley originally played. This movie has at least one different thing about it...They actually have a mother that is ALIVE!!!

So they find these "like, totally hot guys" and they are going to go to some kind of Spring Break pool party or something by the "hot" guys. But, oh no, they have to go to Paris. Them being the snobby, ungrateful, brats that they are would rather stay at home and go to the pool party than go to Paris. Who do you know would rather to stay in California with some guys that they don't know and go to a pool party than go to Paris?

So then they get to Paris and them being "just so drop dead gorgeous" automatically fall in love with some 'french' guys with phony accents. They have their first kisses, grandpa turns around, they get the once uptight guardian a girlfriend, and they get to go to the dance with the guys of their dreams...typical, predictable, Mary-Kate and Ashley movie.

Good movie for the younger Mary Kate & Ashley fans and teens.

An average dialog for a pre-teen/teen movie. Nothing objectionable for younger kids who like Mary Kate and Ashley. It is good to know there are movies that don't have violence (Disney) that are entertaining too. Families can enjoy watching this movie together. Not a thinking movie, just a well done movie for the target audience.

It doesn't get too deep into lessons of life, but shows how older people can stop and remember what it is like to be young and adventurous again and enjoy life to the fullest.
