Masterji is the remake of the tamil super hit "Mundhani Mudichu" which featured K.Bhagyaraj as director & hero. It was remade with kaka & sridevi. Anita raaj also has an important role.

Sridevi is drop dead gorgeous & oozes sex appeal & also gets a chance to show her acting talent. Anita raaj also has a glamorous song.

There is nothing much to do for kaka here. It is Sridevi who carries the film. Music is the sorre point. The humour which was there in the original somehow gets diluted here.

Director Raghavendra Rao has added all the ingredients which will appeal to the masses.

This is not a film of kaka which can be rated very highly,but it added to his list of hits.

Masterji is a comedy film starring Rajesh Khanna in the title role and Sridevi's comic timing was explored for the first time in Hindi Cinema in this film. Sridevi had done many films in Tamil before this but she never got to star in a movie where she could display her comic side.This laugh riot is fully based on confrontations and difference in point of view of the lead characters in various matters.This film was released during school reopening time of that year and end of vacations.So many people flocked to theaters to see this family entertainer and resulted the film being a big hit of the year.Khanna had 11 releases in 1985 and 8 were hits. Khanna proved his versatility by attempting this film. 1985 saw Khanna prove again that as an actor he could do films of different genres with ease. Bhagyaraj starred in title role in Tamil opposite Urvasi and had written and directed the same in Tamil. After its success in Tamil, he wanted the Superstar himself to essay this role in Hindi and so wrote the screenplay but asked Kovelamudi Raghavendra Rao to direct the Hindi version.

This is a Jeetendra type of South Indian made Hindi movie, with Rajesh Khanna the superstar in it. This 1985 movie has him paired with Sridevi playing the role of a village teacher. Anita Raaj is there and Kader Khan is there too. This time pass movie has average music by Bappi Lahiri and this is the negative point of the movie. The music could have been better as these type of movies need good music to run. This is a let down here. Otherwise the movie can hold attention for three hours and Rajesh Khanna is there with his performance to hold the viewers. The movie is equally well shouldered by Sridevi. Once can see the movie to pass the time.

do you know that good sensation of happiness and satisfaction you have at the end of a good movie? well you will definitely have after watching masterji. one of those movies which makes you laugh cry and eventually enjoy a very happy beautiful ending the superstar rajesh khanna is my favorite actor of all over the world and all the time as usual brilliant performance in this one too i remember once watching one of his movies with a friend of mine and suddenly she screams this is not a human being he is an existence i like this sentence very much as he was really may his soul rest in peace. sridevi also did an amazing work in the movie it is up to her and the superstar that the movie is a masterpiece one of the kind watch it and you won't regret it whether you a rajesh khanna fan or sridevi

Srideviji did an outstanding job. Her comedy is a delight to watch. Rajesh khanna is also equally good.
