The song "Boom Boom" from Star had a synthesizer bass line that was sampled from Donna Summers song "I Feel Love". "Pyar Karne Wale " from Shaan,"Rambha Ho" from Armaan, "Raat Baaki" from Namak Halaal and "Aaj Ki Raat" from Don, Mehbooba from the album Bollywood Flashback by Bally Sagoo, all also were inspired by Donna Summer's song. "Rambha Ho" from Armaan can also be added to the list. Donna Summer's song "I Feel Love" was also used in the movie "Red Rose". The song plays in the night club while Rajesh Khanna finds a victim. Madonna song "Future Lover" also has the same bass line. "Besame mucho" (Disco Mix) by Dalida also carries the same beat. The song "Nikal Padi" at 0:49 from Maa Kasam (1999) was sampled from 0:22 from the "Aafat" from Maut Ka Saaya. Same type of music that resemble's Donna Summer "I Feel Love". The song "Jaane Jaan Bahon Mein Aaja" from Mahakaal also had the same bass-line. Sharon Prabhakar song "Kho Gayi Meri Jaan" from the album Disco Mastana was Hindi cover version of I Feel Love. "Pyar Lo Pyar" (See The Light) by Bindu from the album Snap To It, also sampled the same sound. Sharaabi's song "De De Pyar De" had a remix in the album Hit Mix of Hit Remixes by Anuj Matthews and Pinto Johal. The remix contained a sample of "I Feel Love".

Another version of the theme music is used as background music in the film Jhuta Sach.

The background music of the film was reused in the film Karishmaa.

The film was banned at the time as it was very bold, Rajesh Khanna played a rapist in the film.

"Poonam Dhillon stated Rajesh was the king of romance...I have a special soft corner for Him. I was 13 years old and with a group of friends, I had gone to see a shoot of the film Karm.
