Illegal in Blue

'Illegal In Blue' is yet another one of those movies where an idiot with connections to law enforcement repeatedly sleeps with the main suspect. Who we know will probably turn out to be the killer. Yeah only in the movies. It's a T&A flick through and through with it's flimsy plot and it's not like the movie box told you otherwise.

I admit to liking the occasional T&A flick, but the setup they use here is stale. So many others have used it before (Basic Instinct, Snapdragon). It's tired. The guy never thinks with his brain and the female wraps him around her finger. This movie is no different. The cast goes through the motions and the directing is on auto-pilot. Not recommended even to fans of T&A flicks. Rent something else, something better.

What can I say, I was a teen, watching a naughty movie. I expected sex. What I didn't expect was a pretty hardcore unrated version featuring a handful of lenghty sex scenes, and starring a man who at the time was known for small, relatively pg roles. Not to take away from Stacey Dash, who to this day keep men feverishly hunting down this film (she is a beaut, no lie), but Dan brought an equal amount of sexy energy to the role which required a lot of skin and thrusting. For this reason, Illegal in blue is also sought after by men who like... well, men. It can be argued that, why not just watch porn, and the answer is, rare is the porn that features two fixations like Stacey Dash and Dan Gauthier having very convincing sex. For this reason alone, it remains one of the sexiest erotic/softcore movies of the 90s era and i strongly recommend nabbing the unrated version it you're here for that reason. There's a rather significant difference in the porny factor between the r and unrated.

I've been searching for 25yrs for a song from the soundtrack to this movie "Illegal in Blue" called "Echoes in the Wind" how or where can I find it?

Belva Haney performed it. Song cannot be found, it's like it never existed.

Tracy Dash plays a femme fox who murders her husband in coldblood. After plotting it for sometime and carrying it out she becomes the number one murder suspect. While the detective investigates her he also falls in love with her. The faulted-love-struck cop must now pick between his love or his oath of morality.

Typical kinda situation where the cop, instead of being professional or even particularly smart, takes more than a professional interest in the suspect, with predictably sexy results.

I'd have to say the hotness of Stacey Dash is the best thing about this movie, the rest is simply filler. Much like what I'm writing now, as I need a minimum of 10 lines. The thing is, this movie is not so special that it warrants a full 10 line review. What could I possibly say about it? It's not particularly innovative or original, in fact it sticks to an age-old formula and is pretty forgettable. I'll say this, if you liked All The President's Men, you wont necessarily like this. Unless you think Stacey Dash is hot, in which case knock yourself out. I did.
