I really enjoyed this movie, the actors are all great. At first you kind of find yourself feeling sorry for the mother, but as it progresses you realize it is her own doing that is making her so miserable. I have watched it 2-3 time and enjoyed each time. I usually do not watch anything I have seen before. I would love to know the song his daughter sang. I have watched this movie 2-3 times and the song eludes me each time. I try to see it in credits, but writing is too small. If anyone knows the song please help.I read in one of the other comments where someone thought she was a good singer, maybe that person can help me. I really was not able to get to many words to the song as I came into room just as she stopped sing, or the went to another scene.Thank you. mapa-2
I had not heard of this film before I saw it listed in TV Guide for tonight (8/5/02) on the Lifetime channel. Any film with Richard Crenna draws my immediate attention. I was not disappointed; he gave his usual flawless performance. The actress who played his middle daughter gave a rather overwrought performance at times; however, if she actually did her own singing, she has a great voice.
Angie Dickenson portrays a character one feels little sympathy for; therefore, when she turns up missing again, one does not really feel the loss--but can certainly sympathize with her distraught daughter. The rest of the film does indeed reveal deep family secrets. This film will keep you guessing.

Richard Crenna, "Body Heat" and Angie Dickinson "Dressed to Kill", gave a fantastic performance together as husband and wife. Whenever Angie appears in a film, you can count on a good performance and lots of action and drama. If it was not for these two actors appearing in this TV drama, the entire plot would fall on its face. The great sadness Richard Crenna was able to show the audience with his daughter and the great repect and love he had for her was great acting by a veteran actor who passed on to the higher stage in his life. Angie and Richard were a great fighting team as husband and wife. If you love these two actors, this is a classic TV show!
I'm watching this film as I write this. It's about 45 minutes into the film and there's been so much back and forth and empty drama, I don't quite see where it's going. No facts, just enough to leave you making assumptions. The acting of main daughter is painful. How did this ever get made??? Not the best of Lifetime films.
This is a terrible film. Angie Dickenson is a class act and always does well, but she does not get many roles any more and she must have needed some money to do this film. By the way, she is on screen less than 10 minutes. Oooh, wait, there is one redeeming feature in this film: Meg Foster has a small part in this film. Now, Meg has been on the screen for 35 years and is not particularly great but she has the scariest eyes of any actress I have ever seen. By name, you probably don't know her, but one look at her eyes and you will recognize her. To summarize: the acting is horrid, the story bad, and even the filmography is dreadful. A screen going to black every time the director wants to change scenes is pretty moronic. Watch any thing else but this, even Mr Ed reruns!
