Not entirely accurate as to what really happened but close to it. Some things were changed slightly to make the film work better - I'm guessing.
Richard Crenna, Angie Dickinson and Meg Foster did a wonderful job! The rest of the cast is fine as well. Some good cinematography as well.
The story is creepy - to think your father (or the man you know as 'daddy') killed your mother! Worse to find out he's not your own flesh and blood. The worst is Randy - he was the product of incest.
The real story of what actually happened makes me shiver reading it - and to watch it played out on screen is real horror.
Good movie - recommended if you like this type of film.

This is a terrible film. Angie Dickenson is a class act and always does well, but she does not get many roles any more and she must have needed some money to do this film. By the way, she is on screen less than 10 minutes. Oooh, wait, there is one redeeming feature in this film: Meg Foster has a small part in this film. Now, Meg has been on the screen for 35 years and is not particularly great but she has the scariest eyes of any actress I have ever seen. By name, you probably don't know her, but one look at her eyes and you will recognize her. To summarize: the acting is horrid, the story bad, and even the filmography is dreadful. A screen going to black every time the director wants to change scenes is pretty moronic. Watch any thing else but this, even Mr Ed reruns!
I had not heard of this film before I saw it listed in TV Guide for tonight (8/5/02) on the Lifetime channel. Any film with Richard Crenna draws my immediate attention. I was not disappointed; he gave his usual flawless performance. The actress who played his middle daughter gave a rather overwrought performance at times; however, if she actually did her own singing, she has a great voice.
Angie Dickenson portrays a character one feels little sympathy for; therefore, when she turns up missing again, one does not really feel the loss--but can certainly sympathize with her distraught daughter. The rest of the film does indeed reveal deep family secrets. This film will keep you guessing.

I know this is a made for TV movie, and the acting in made for TV movies is usually sub-par, but it's absolutely horrendous in this film. Sometimes acting gets so bad it's laughable, but in this case, it's so bad it's sickening.

Richard Crenna, "Body Heat" and Angie Dickinson "Dressed to Kill", gave a fantastic performance together as husband and wife. Whenever Angie appears in a film, you can count on a good performance and lots of action and drama. If it was not for these two actors appearing in this TV drama, the entire plot would fall on its face. The great sadness Richard Crenna was able to show the audience with his daughter and the great repect and love he had for her was great acting by a veteran actor who passed on to the higher stage in his life. Angie and Richard were a great fighting team as husband and wife. If you love these two actors, this is a classic TV show!
