This Biblical television miniseries and Disney's George, o Rei da Floresta (1997) used both live male African lions and a mechanical replica of the lions that would appear in the attack scenes. The mechanical lions in both live action productions were supplied by Jim Henson's Creature Shop (respectively from London, England and Burbank, California).
