Turtle Beach have announced two new gaming headsets – the Ear Force PX24and the Ear Force Recon 60P – both of which are now available at retail. The PX24 is a multiplatform gaming headset that comes with the innovative, battery-powered in-line Ear Force SuperAmp,which delivers powerful amplified sound from any connected device and provides features like Superhuman Hearing, Virtual Surround Sound, Variable Bass Boost, Variable Mic Monitoring and more for a Srp of £69.95. The Recon 60P is part of Turtle Beach’s all-new Recon Series entry-level gaming headsets, the 60P is built with a new lightweight and comfortable design, and offers a handful of must-have features for any gamer, including amplified audio from the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 for a Srp of just £39.99.

Turtle Beach has announced that it will make gaming headsets inspired by Star Wars.

The manufacturer plans to embellish the devices with characters and artwork from the popular sci-fi series.

"As a company in the gaming and entertainment space, we can't help but be excited by the prospect of working on Star Wars headset designs in collaboration with Lucasfilm," said Turtle Beach Chief Marketing Officer Bob Picunko in a press release.

"We are looking forward to introducing state-of-the-art headsets that appeal to both casual and elite players who are fans of Star Wars."

Featuring swappable speaker plates, the Star Wars headsets will allow users to customise their look.

The headset and initial speaker plate designs will be unveiled at next month's E3.

Turtle Beach recently launched its range of Xbox One headsets.

The Australian Production Design Guild has presented its award for outstanding contribution to design to Roger Kirk.

Kirk is an Australian costume designer working primarily in stage and film. He has also previously won the Tony Award for Best Costume Design and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Costume Design for The King and I and was nominated for 42nd Street. His Australian film credits include Brilliant Lies, Dad and Dave: On Our Selection, and Turtle Beach.

The Apdg Awards were presented at Sydney's Doltone House by Oscar-winner Adam Elliot. Other presenters included the ABC's Margaret Pomeranz, Aftrs head of screen design Sarah Stollman, Docklands Studios Melbourne chief executive Rod Allan, and L.A. Noire game designer Simon Wood.
