In the end credits there is a special thanks to Harvey Keitel. He was not involved in the movie as such, but he made a very important phone call to Tim Roth. Roth had been offered a big and well paid part in a big budget film immediately before this low budget independent film was to begin shooting. Harvey Keitel made a phone call to Roth, giving him the following advice "Don't take the money. Take the film you really want to make". So Roth stayed with this project.
In the scene when Peter Fonda arrives on his motorcycle and asks Tim Roth if the phone works, Bridget Fonda is actually hiding in the back seat of the car Roth is in. If you look very closely, for a second you see a small blue patch behind the seat for a second as Roth is sitting up. The same color of the T-shirt Bridget wore in the Arizona scenes. In the audio commentary on the DVD, director Michael Steinberg explains, "Bridget wanted to be in a shot with her father. Of course you can't see her at all. She's ducked down behind in the back seat, but I guess it was not since Sem Destino (1969) that they'd been in a film together."
A street sign of 'Enfield, Arizona' is shown and it says at the beginning, that the town has 91,246 inhabitants, but it is fictitious.
