"Prywatne sledztwo" (Private Investigation) kept me interested. The plot is about Rafal Skonecki (Roman Wilhelmi), who tries to find a drunk truck driver, who was a perpetrator of the car accident that killed his wife and two children. Compared to the Western thrillers of the 1980s, the plot in "Private Investigation" was to me a bit slow and unexciting. But it was compensated by good acting (especially by Roman Wilhelmi) and the realistic portrayal of Poland in the 1980s. For someone like me, who remembers those days, it was like a journey to the past. An additional advantage was the participation of many well-known actors during those days, like Jerzy Trela, Janusz Bukowski, and Andrzej Pieczynski.
