Amantide - Scirocco

i remember seeing this movie almost 20 years ago!!

it was a soft core porn import playing in a seedy local theater. besides obvious appeal, it was quite entertaining. story flows smoothly (although it's not a very complicated or meaningful story). the performance of main actress was quite charming.. esp the scene where she combines the pleasure of sex with pleasure of horseback riding. that alone is worth watching the movie!!

i don't remember much else about the movie. the nature shots are very nice, nobody's overacting. most of the characters are not fully developed, but then the movie is only about the main actress, so it's expected.. :)

don't recall if musical score was nice.. that's about it!

Really, SIROCCO is a very good erotic film. The main actress, FIONA GELIN is very natural and beautiful. I recommend this film for all the people who like the description of the progressive research of sexual experiences.

I had never seen Fiona Gélin before viewing this movie, and haven't seen her since. Likewise for her half-sister, Maria Schneider, Brando's co-star in the infamous "Last Tango in Paris" (remember the scene with the stick of butter in the Paris hotel bathroom).

Whichever parent these two gals share passed on a large dose of "sensuality genes."

With the earthy, realistic scenes in northern Africa, the literally hot weather on-screen, alone, could cause you to perspire if you were watching the film from inside a meat locker.

And the on-screen scenes where this attractive and thoroughly sensual young woman beds a variety of sweaty males in open locations, including on horseback, with others nearby around, or a horde of males, all over the place, as she visits one of them at an apartment in a busy plaza area - no viewer could escape the effect of viewing her attempt to satisfy her active libido in a thoroughly unabashed fashion.

There isn't a lot of story here, and none of the characters - including hers - evokes a lot of emotion or empathy. But you cannot help but feel that her performance here outdoes others in more prominent films, and the on-screen performances of, say, Sharon Stone, Glenn Close, Kim Basinger, Kristin Scott Thomas, et al, in some of their work .

Pure SENSUALITY, deserving of "all caps."

I have watched this movie in late 80s in a theater where majority of crowd came for action and they all were treated with plenty in this one.

If talking of erotica, this will definitely stand up higher in ranks. Aldo Rado at his best and Fiona Gelin not only looked sensual but she managed to create lot of on screen heat and the horseback sex scene was one of the best I have ever seen in an erotica. There is also a scene in a crowded bus where our sexy heroine is being felt up by many men and I think this scene was later ditto copied by Tinto Brass in one of his movie.

The plot is okay but the locations are great. So if you are looking for some hot action this is where you should go. 8 out of 10

Watched it twice and j##ed off few times thinking about it. Remember getting this huge explosion in my trouser watching threesome the bar owner with his help. This can be said one of the best semi porn made and was available uncensored in run down theaters in India. This movie was craze in 80's with no internet and non existent of porn movies. This was widely recommended too by teenagers. All the scenes are shot beautifully the beginning bj of African arab to the making out scene on horse near pyramids. The handsome bar owner following the sensous leading lady their love making scenes was too good. Well I feel viewers will enjoy even today if they watch it.
