Bye Bye Vietnam

This film rates as one of the worst war films ever, acting terrible script well what can anyone say about it apart from embarrassing, accurate view on the Vietnam war zero. weaponry there were no M16 rifles (which was standard issue), there was however one soldier with a Thompson sub machine gun, another with a pump action shot gun ( possibility used in the war)and someone with an Uzi, The Vietnamese villagers was not wearing traditional dress , there was only one villager who was wearing a typical Vietnamese conical hat,the North Vietnamese soldiers looked more like Cuban soldiers. where was the typical rice fields which are all over Vietnam. there was no research done before filming started and I would like to know where the location for this film was it did not look like it was filmed in the far east.

Not worth watching at all.. unless you want to see some hilarious bloopers. So watch it. After 15 minutes of watching this awful movie you will thank me for warning you.

I just don't understand how a movie can be so lame. The acting is terrible, and as for the script, well i'm angry.. Here's some dialog from this embarrassing , awful movie.. Wounded pilot : Who.. Who are you ? Soldier : I'm 4th infantry, but you can call me Luke

And if I still haven't persuaded you enough not to come near this movie.. this will. Here's my story : It was Friday, and as I am fond of war movies, i decided to check this movie out. After 10 minutes, there was a scene in a forest, but, as soon as the camera swapped angle, you could see the cameraman's hand move some leaves, so he could get a better view.. I could see this was turning out the be a long Friday. After about 20 minutes I noticed that not one trooper had a M-16 rifle, which was the most popular gun of the Vietnam war, every single trooper had a different gun...

I have watched it again, just so I could see the embarrassing moments over and over again.

And Arne shouldn't be wearing armani.

Cinematic masterpiece. The acting is top tier. If this movie would've come out any year other than 1988, in would've won best picture. Unfortunately, it had to compete with the best movie of all time - Rain Man. This 1988 hidden gem will leave you with your jaw on the floor.

Don't listen to the negative reviews that talk about the movie's flaws. As far as I'm concerned, those other reviewers are just jealous that they weren't allowed to participate in such an astounding work of art. Bye Bye Vietnam will reinvigorate your love for storytelling.

I'm afraid that if I watch it a second time it will supplant Rain Man as my all-time favorite movie.
