Like any other gala, the Grammys saw many bizarre outfits with Jaden Smith seemingly topping them all. Will Smith’s son and After Earth co-star showed up to the event along with his sister Willow Smith in a suit, but his headpiece went viral. Inspired by a Transylvanian castle, Jaden’s headpiece was one of the highlights of the event.

As with any other viral moment, he received a lot of backlash and trolling from fans, with one fan calling out the rapper for the bizarre outfit and adding an offensive slur. However, the young rapper seemed to take it in stride and even gave a diplomatic thank you to the heckler.

The Grammys red carpet is the place for celebrities to show off their outfits and express their brand and creative aesthetic.

Spain’s Academia de Cine has unveiled its list of nominations for the 39th Goya Awards, the country’s equivalent to the Oscar. Leading the field is Marcel Barrena’s biographical drama El 47, with 14 mentions. It’s followed by thriller La Infiltrada (Undercover) at 13.

Also in the mix is Segundo Premio (Saturn Return) with 11 nods. The movie about real-life rock band Los Planetas was Spain’s submission for the International Feature Oscar, though it did not make AMPAS’ shortlist cut which was revealed yesterday.

Meanwhile, Spanish maestro Pedro Almodóvar’s first English-language feature, The Room Next Door, scored 10 nominations including Best Director and a pair of Best Actress nods for Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton. It did not surface in the Goyas’ Best Picture race, despite taking the top prize Golden Lion in Venice earlier this year, his first ever top A-list festival prize.

The Goyas will be handed out on February 8 in Granada.

Exclusive: A documentary about a controversial plastic surgeon known for live streaming procedures on social media is headed to Discovery+.

The fledgling streamer has acquired They Call Me Dr. Miami, directed by Jean-Simon Chartier (Playing Hard) from Cargo Film & Releasing and will launch it on February 11.

Originally produced for Canadian public broadcaster CBC, the film tells the story of Dr. Miami a.k.a. Dr. Michael Salzhauer. It explores how Salzhauer became one of the most controversial and famous plastic surgeons in the U.S. while also being a devoted husband, a father of five, and a conservative Orthodox Jew.

From being the first doctor to livestream graphic tummy tucks and breast augmentations on Snapchat to becoming a figure namechecked in hip hop songs, it also looks at the issue of body modification and selfie culture, where butt lifts lifts have increased over 250 percent since 2015.

After pushing its scripted content to midseason in favor of a pandemic-proof fall schedule, Fox has finally set winter premiere dates for right series, including fan-favorite shows like “9-1-1” and its spinoff “Lone Star,” as well as newbies “The Masked Dancer” and Mayim Bialik comedy “Call Me Kat.”

First up is the start for “The Masked Singer” spinoff “The Masked Dancer,” which will debut Dec. 27 following an NFL doubleheader. “Call Me Kat” and “Last Man Standing” will premiere back to back on Jan. 3, also with an NFL lead-in. A new season of Gordon Ramsay’s “Hell’s Kitchen” will launch Jan. 7.

Directed by Call Me By Your Name's Luca Guadagnino, the coming-of-age series centers on Fraser Wilson (Jack Dylan Grazer) and Caitlin Poythress (Jordan Kristine Seamon), two 14-year-old Americans growing up on an army base in Chioggia, Italy.

Director Luca Guadagnino's 2017 coming-of-age romantic drama Call Me by Your Name was a major awards contender at the time, boasting two wonderful performances at the movie's center by actors Armie Hammer and Timothée Chalamet. Call Me by Your Name 2 has been on the cards since soon after the first movie's release, but Hammer believes that more time needs to pass before delving back in.

"It needs room to breathe. So many people are emotionally invested in the first Call Me by Your Name, that if you release the second one now, no matter what, you're just setting yourself up for failure. If you give us time, like the story is supposed to happen, if you give us that time, then we can come back when I'm in my 40s, and Timmy's... 23 [laughs] then we can do it again then."

Timothée Chalamet just keeps getting more and more buzz every year. He's starred in huge movies like 2019's Little Women and Call Me by Your Name, which really got everyone talking about him in 2017. But we have some big news for you - you've probably been pronouncing his name wrong all along.

Timothée was born and raised in America, but his father is from France, which explains his unique name. Despite the accent mark, he pronounces his first name how you would imagine - "Timothy." Cristina Ramos did something on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” that no other act had been able to accomplish. On the January 14 episode, she got more votes from the superfans than Darci Lynne Farmer, the singing ventriloquist who won “Agt” in 2017. That got Ramos a place in the final and made her one to watch.(Darci Lynne is also in the competition as one of the wild cards.)

Cristina won “Spain’s Got Talent” in 2016 for her wild mash-ups of rock songs and opera. Now she could well win the first season of this “Agt” spin-off with her over-the-top style of singing. She mixes musical genres, including opera rock and disco into an unique sound.

The final of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” on February 11 will see 12 acts take to the stage. Five of these got the Golden Buzzer at their audition. Another five won the superfans vote. And there are two wild cards, who were added to the roster after not making the cut initially.

The five acts who were singled out by the judges for special treatment courtesy of the Golden Buzzer are: singers Susan Boyle, Angelica Hale and Kechi Okwuchi; daredevils Deadly Games; and sand artist Kseniya Simonova.

However, Debra Granik has emerged from this fall’s independent film and critics’ awards as a dark horse contender for her intimate father-daughter drama “Leave No Trace.” Now a few of our top users think she’ll make the cut.

There have been a number of noteworthy films this year from female directors, including”Can You Ever Forgive Me?” (Marielle Heller), “Private Life” (Tamara Jenkins), “The Rider” (Chloe Zhao), “Destroyer” (Karyn Kusama) and “You Were Never Really Here” (Lynne Ramsey), among others. But none of them were making a strong impression in our racetrack odds.

As more critics and audiences have gotten to see “Beautiful Boy” and “Green Book,” our Oscar odds for Best Supporting Actor have taken a turn. “Green Book” star Mahershala Ali moved into the lead, while the former front-runner, “Beautiful’s” Timothee Chalamet, slipped a bit. But it’s far from an open-and-shut case. Voters may be reluctant to give Ali a second Oscar just two years after his victory in the same category for “Moonlight.” And five Experts are still backing Chalamet for the win.

Ali gets leading odds of 37/10 based on the combined forecasts of thousands of Gold Derby users. That includes a majority of the 29 Expert journalists we’ve polled from top media outlets. Ali benefits from the fact that “Green Book” looks like a stronger Best Picture contender based on our current forecasts, and it’s easier for an actor to win while riding a wave of support for a popular film.

Bad Boys for Life is officially happening with Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, but will it include Gabrielle Union? The actress reacted to Smith and Lawrence's social media post yesterday with the use of the eyeball emojis and a telephone, which loosely translates to: "Call Me." Union played Lawrence's younger sister, Sydney Burnett, in Bad Boys 2 and was also Smith's love interest in the movie. Union's response to the long-awaited sequel comes after NBC canceled her Bad Boys TV spin-off with Jessica Alba, titled La's Finest, over a ballooning budget.

Hulu has confirmed that several of its original series will be debuting new episodes on the streaming service in October, including the first installment of the horror anthology “Into the Dark” as well as more of season 1 of the Sean Penn drama “The First.” And there will also be new to Hulu seasons of some of your favorites reality shows from other networks, including various editions of “Little Women” and “The Real Housewives.”

Likewise, there will be plenty of movies making their first Hulu appearances including the Oscar-winning “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” and “Raging Bull.”

Heading into the May 6 episode of the ABC revival of “American Idol,” we asked you which of the Top 7 would be lucky enough to win season 16. More than half of viewers cast their ballots for one of the two remaining contestants: Gabby Barrett got a whopping 30% of the total vote while Cade Foehner registered 21%.

Of the other five artists still in contention, three — Maddie Poppe, Catie Turner and Michael J. Woodard — earned double digit support. Poppe is at 12%, Turner has 13% and Woodard is fifth with 11% of the total tally. Jurnee Siani managed just 7% while Caleb Lee Hutchinson is last at 6%.

Season 16 of “American Idol” may be airing on ABC but it is following the same format as it did on Fox for 15 years.
