Young, Wild and Wonderful

This film is a pretty good old school adult film. Not super great, but it has its moments. I like to watch the older adult films as the sex in them seems more spontaneous and the fact they are shot on film helps hide any blemishes on the girls or the fact they are wearing a ton of makeup. Suffice to say, these days when they shoot these newer ones and you watch a DVD you see a lot of stuff you'd rather not. Not to say there is not something to say for newer films as they can do a bit more as far as angles are concerned and so you can get a few more positions, but then most simply have adult stars do a position for a while and then switch and then keep saying the same stuff over and over. It lacks the feel of the old ones where the final scene in this one does seem more real.

The story has a group of students going to a museum on a field trip. Interesting premise, too bad most of the film was simply shot in one room as a guy lectured the students. Then again, I can understand why they could not get into a real museum and actually have sex in the exhibits. Well the students are horny (of course) so we have some fantasizing about having sex, others tricking the teacher to have sex, and you have a couple of students kind of falling into some sex. All this sex and they did not really do anything that felt like a museum.

The girls in this one are rather pretty. The blond who has sex with the teacher and the brunette who has the best sex scene at the end are the best ones. There is another blond who gets two sex scenes and she seems a bit too old to be playing a student in this one; in fact, I would say the female teacher could have pulled off a student better. This blond should have been the teacher! Not that she was bad looking, just you could tell she was probably a veteran actress in adult films.

So, it was an okay adult film, and is kind of saved by the last scene as I was going to give it a five or six before it. The other sex scenes are okay, but just do not last long enough or have as much punch. The scene with the cute blond and goofy teacher for example was kind of undercut by the fact the professor was so goofy looking. Still, it was good for what it was.

Jim Clark was truly a genius of adult film with his School Day Films where he directed Debbie Does Dallas I and II. He always excited his audience with the perfect camera angles and timing. He was explicit without being harmful or tasteless. He seemed to have become a recluse after Bambi Woods (Debbie) quit a porn career in which many Dallas sequels were probably planned for her, never directing another film. Young, Wild and Wonderful is a lesser known example of his work. A high school bus-load of students take a field trip to an art museum. Here the female students lust after the staff of Eric Edwards and Jake Teague. Most noteworthy is a pure fantasy scene between Edwards and a daydreaming Arcadia Lake while Edwards shows a film to the class. First, she is a model and he is a painter seducing her for the first time. Next, she is a native on an island along with bulb-breasted Candi Barbour who offer their intimate friendship to Edwards, a shipwrecked sailor. "I must be in paradise!" he shouts as the two lie down to sleep. Indeed, knowing both of them must have been.

Jim Buckley's "Young Wild and Wonderful" is a steamy, fun-filled trip back to the 80s, when adult films were shot on film, and the sex was spontaneous and raw. It's a nostalgic ride that delivers on its promise of an explicit, wild time.

The plot is simple: a school trip to a museum serves as the backdrop for a series of raunchy encounters. The girls are pretty, and the sex scenes are plentiful. The blonde who beds her teacher and the brunette with the standout final scene bring energy and enthusiasm to their performances.

The narrative, while not the film's strongest suit, manages to provide a semblance of structure to the string of adult scenes. It's a simple tale of youthful desire and exploration, but it serves its purpose well, providing context and motivation for the characters' actions.

The film has a certain charm, and it's a fun watch, but it's not without its flaws. Some of the actresses' heavy makeup and blemishes are visible, which, while not a deal-breaker, can be a distraction. The plot is also thin, serving merely as a vehicle for the sex scenes, which at times feel like they could have been better integrated into the story.

So, if you're in the mood for a nostalgic, naughty trip back in time, "Young Wild and Wonderful" is well worth a watch. Just be prepared for a wild, wonderful ride!
