Dune: Prophecy episode 5 review: Tula makes a shocking discovery that could test her loyalty to Valya
Image
Things heat up in episode five of Dune: Prophecy as the emperor makes a move to consolidate his fragile position.

After unleashing Desmond Hart in the previous episode and revealing his power to the council, Javicco now makes his move to try and solidify his place as emperor, creating a new regiment of elite soldiers that looks to be the forerunner of the legendary Sardaukar that play a big part in the movies. These troops are led by Hart, who immediately starts tracking down and threats to the emperor. He's given some intel by Hanno, who's working on Valya's behalf and points him in the direction of the nightclub where the rebels meet.

At the same time, Constantine's mother Francesca returns to Salusa Secundus on Valya's orders and starts to make some moves to put her son into a position of power within the Imperium. She wants him to be...

Life of Agony Play First Show Since Singer’s Detransition Announcement: Video + Setlist
Image
Life of Agony performed at a New York City benefit show for Sick of It All singer Lou Koller on Saturday night (November 23rd), marking the band’s first gig since their singer, Keith Caputo (formerly Mina Caputo), announced that he was detransitioning back to male.

The concert, dubbed “I’m in the Fight with Lou,” took place at Irving Plaza, and also featured performances by Municipal Waste and Vision of Disorder. The proceeds went toward Koller’s medical bills, following the hardcore legend’s announcement earlier this year that doctors discovered a cancerous tumor in his esophagus.

Life of Agony ripped through nine songs during their set, with video footage showing Caputo (wearing a Sick 0f It All T-shirt) delivering a high-energy performance and interacting with the crowd throughout the gig. Seven of the songs were from the band’s seminal 1993 debut album, River Runs Red.

Last week, Caputo...

Life of Agony’s Mina Caputo Is De-Transitioning: “I Am a Man, I Always Was a Man”
Image
Editor’s note: After reaching out to the singer’s publicist, we have used the pronouns “he/his” throughout this article at the request of Caputo.

Life of Agony singer Mina Caputo is de-transitioning, declaring, “I am a man, I always was a man.” The metal vocalist is reclaiming the name Keith Caputo.

Caputo, who came out as transgender in 2011 and subsequently transitioned to female, posted a video message on Instagram on Tuesday evening (November 19th), revealing that he is off of hormones for the past six or seven years and will have his breast implants removed this January.

“I will be lovingly living in my divine male self,” said Caputo in the video post. “I’ve cured my gender dysphoria. It took many years. A lot of walking through the fire, but I rose above my misunderstandings of my soul and my spirit.”

Caputo continued, “I’ve been existing...

Let's Try To Explain Every Marvel Symbiote In Venom 3 (The Movie Doesn't Make It Easy)
Image
This article contains spoilers for "Venom: The Last Dance."

The first two movies in the "Venom" franchise gave the eponymous anti-hero and his new buddy Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) a run for their money by having them go up against some deadly rival symbiotes. In 2018, the outdated but silly "Venom" saw the symbiote Riot merge with Life Foundation CEO Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), and the two teamed up in an effort to bring an entire race of symbiotes to Earth to bond with humanity, though each had their own very different motivations for doing so. In 2021, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" (which almost had a better title) turned serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) into the aforementioned symbiote Carnage after a piece of Venom was inadvertently consumed by the criminal when he bit Eddie's hand during a journalistic prison visit.

"Venom: The Last Dance" (read our review) also brings some new symbiotes to the table.

Marvel's Wild New Symbiote Team Give Venom Lore Its Own Avengers
Image
Warning: Contains Spoilers for Venom War: Lethal Protectors #1! When it comes to Venom lore, an Avengers-type group of symbiote heroes has never really been possible - or, at the very least, its never really been successful. Aside from the mainstay symbiotes like Venom and Carnage, others always seem to kind of blend together without enough individuality to make them memorable. But now, thats about to change, as Marvels wild new symbiote team finally gives Venom lore its own Avengers.

In Venom War: Lethal Protectors #1 by Sabir Pirzada and Luca Maresca, Silver Sable and her Wild Pack have been hired to break into a Life Foundation laboratory and secure a package thats of great importance to her client. Given that this job is taking place during the ongoing Venom War - meaning populated areas are overrun by undead symbiote monsters called zombiotes - the Wild Pack have come prepared. Every member...

“I have a really beautiful mom”: Ryan Gosling Was This Close to Becoming Ryan Reynolds But It Didn’t Work Out
Image
Ryan Gosling was last seen in the action comedy The Fall Guy, which saw him play a stuntman embroiled in a crime involving his boss. Based on the TV show of the same name, the film was a tribute to the stunt community, with many promotional events featuring and celebrating them. Gosling’s performance was appreciated in the film.

Gosling started his career as a child actor with The All-New Mickey Mouse Club at the age of 13. The actor also made his feature film debut a few years later as a teen in Frankenstein and Me, which also starred Burt Reynolds. The Barbie star mentioned that he received extra attention on the sets of the film as Reynolds was into his mom.

“I do not want to get sued by Disney”: Ryan Gosling Started Hating Disney For Its Alleged Idea That Would Have Disrespected Iconic Mickey Mouse

Portraying an iconic Mattel toy alongside Margot Robbie’s Barbie may be a new pinnacle in Ryan Gosling’s career, but, before landing Oscar nominations and attaining critical acclaim, he’d been singing and dancing away as a Mouseketeer.

Ryan Gosling in Barbie (2023) | Warner Bros.

That’s right, The Mickey Mouse Club was the opening gambit of Gosling’s ascent toward stardom. But over the years, the Canadian actor has come to form a mercurial relationship with Disney for a rather peculiar reason that may or may not be true.

Ryan Gosling Has a “Love-Hate” Relationship With Disney

If there’s one thing Ryan Gosling loves about Disney, it’s Disneyland, so much so that he’s visited the theme park more times than he can count, and a lot of times, by himself. But if there’s one thing he despises about Disney, it’s to do with the...

Venom: The Last Dance Crew Gift Seemingly Reveals The Threequel's Sinister Villain
Image
Shooting has wrapped on Venom: The Last Dance and with a little over five months before it arrives in theaters, we're hoping an official first look is somewhere on the horizon.

Sony Pictures could do with a win after delivering flops like Morbius and Madame Web, but only time will tell whether the Venom threequel can give them one. After all, most fans aren't expecting much from Kraven the Hunter, a movie recently pushed back to December 13.

Now, a first look at the stunt team's crew gift has been revealed and it may reveal Venom: The Last Dance's big bad.

As you can see in the X post below, green is being used for the "3" in the movie's logo, while three green slashes can also be seen across the Symbiote's unmistakable face.

Looking at the comics, we have to believe this is meant as a reference to Lasher.

Chris Pine’s New Disney Villain Song Is Even Better After His 10-Year-Old Hit Musical That Made $213 Million
Image
Remembering Chris Pine's villain song in Disney's Wish reminds us of his equally brilliant musical number in a 2014 hit film. Pine portrays King Magnifico in Wish, a sorcerer craving validation in the villain song "This Is The Thanks I Get?!" Pine's character similarities in Wish and Into the Woods are highlighted through their hunger for praise and validation in their songs.

Chris Pine's solo song in Disney's Wish is a highlight of the movie, and it only gets better when taking his equally brilliant musical number from a 2014 hit film into consideration. Wish's voice cast sees Pine portray the character of King Magnifico, the villain of the film. Magnifico gets his own villain song, titled "This Is The Thanks I Get?!," which is arguably the best song on the Wish's soundtrack. However, it's easy to appreciate “This Is The Thanks I Get?!” even more after listening to another of Pine’s movie musical numbers.

Judas Priest Sound Hell Bent for Immortality on ‘Invincible Shield’

More than five decades into their career, Judas Priest have always been one of metal’s most reliably great bands, likely because the responsibility they feel to the genre weighs just as heavily as the music they make. They never want to let down their fans, the “heavy metal maniacs,” as lead shrieker Rob Halford dubbed them long ago, even as they’ve pressed forward in the face of adversity in recent years. Guitarist Glenn Tipton, a bona fide metal icon known for his electrifying solos, revealed he’d been...

“It’s criminal”: Venom 3 Update Agonizes Andrew Garfield Fans Still Hoping for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 After His No Way Home Return
Image
Venom 3 has reportedly completed its filming and is heading in the right direction for its planned theatrical release by the end of this year. Andrew Garfield fans cannot forgive Sony for not giving him a deserved trilogy, while Tom Hardy’s villain is getting his sweet three films. Many fans also complained about Sony making a Spider-Man villain trilogy without the central superhero appearing in the films.

Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock / Venom will return in the upcoming film Venom 3

Kelly Marcel, who wrote the screenplay for the first two films, serves as the director of Venom 3. While the first two Venom movies were profitable, the fate of the third film hangs in the balance due to the studio’s current reputation.

Match #1: Adam Copeland def. Lee Moriarty The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Collision kicked off with the “Cope Open”! Copeland whipped Moriarty into the turnbuckles. Copeland clubbed Lee with forearms. Copeland swept out Lee’s legs. Moriarty wrenched Copeland’s arm over the top rope and followed up with a dropkick. Moriarty went for the Border City Stretch. Copeland powered himself to the ropes, reaching out and grabbing the bottom rope, forcing the ref to break the hold. Moriarty climbed to the top turnbuckle, but Copeland knocked Moriarty off balance. Copeland tossed Lee with an avalanche fallaway slam. Copeland was contemplating a spear, but...

Maureen Lipman Attacks BAFTA “Numbskulls” Over Gender-Neutral Award Engravings
Image
Dame Maureen Lipman, star of films including The Pianist and Educating Rita, has hit out at BAFTA over its decision to offer award-winners gender-neutral prizes.

Writing in The Spectator magazine, Lipman branded BAFTA “Dafta” after winners were given the option to have “performer” engraved on their mask plaque as opposed to actor or actress.

BAFTA has had the policy in place for a number of years, but it was spotlighted last week in The Times after longlists were published for the film awards.

BAFTA continues to have best actor and actress categories, meaning there is no change in how its awards are presented to winners.

Lipman wrote a diary piece in The Spectator about watching The Graduate. “Was there ever a better directed movie or, in Anne Bancroft, a sexier, darker, more restrained actress?” she asked.

Lipman added: “Yes, you heard me: actress, you numbskulls at Bafta. Not a ‘performer’, as you now label us.

Looking inside the cinematic kaleidoscope, imagining how to penetrate the dream factory, Kevin Turen was born to be a maverick as he surmounted this unpaved road for our generation of friends and filmmaking talent. Madmind’s VR Version of ‘Succubus’ Banned From Steam
Janine Reynaud in Sucubbus (1968)
Madmind Studio have once again courted the ire of Steam, this time with the VR version of their 2021 title, Succubus. Succubus: Hellish Orgy VR, which had been announced during Madnight 2023, has been banned from the service.

Reported by our friends at RelyOnHorror, Hellish Orgy VR was scheduled to be released Q1 2023 on Steam VR, but has now had its Steam page wiped (though you can still find it on SteamDB). According to Madmind, Hellish Orgy VR was removed from Steam for being “too disturbing.” Valve reportedly had concerns over the titles “drastic content”, though didn’t get into specifics as to what that entailed.

Though honestly, given that the game was described as casting the player as the servant of Queen Vydija (the titular Succubus from the game), and tasked to do everything to satisfy her macabre desires, you can draw your own conclusions.

It’s not the first time...

Venom Takes a Bite Out of Crime in Two New Promo Spots For Venom
We've got two new promo spots for Venom for you to watch today. The first one mostly teases Venom’s desire to eat people. Venom certainly has a reputation for eating people and this film will give us the PG-13 version of that. I’m not expecting much for this film, but maybe it will surprise me. The second promo features some new footage form the Riot and Venom fight in the film!

The movie was inspired by the 1993 six-issue Venom: Lethal Protector comic miniseries. The story followed Venom moving to San Francisco after he and Spider-Man made a truce. Once in San Francisco, Venom is hunted down by the Life Foundation, who wants to study the Venom symbiote so they can use it for their own evil purposes. From it, they create five new symbiote spawn including Scream, Phage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony.

The film stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams...

Tom Hardy Shares a New IMAX Poster For Venom
Tom Hardy has shared a new IMAX poster for his upcoming film Venom and it features some pretty cool artwork of the terrifying title character. Unfortunately, with a PG-13 rating, we probably aren’t going to get the truest adaptation of the character that we were all hoping for. Venom is a totally R-rated character that deserved an R-rated film. Who knows, though, maybe it will be surprisingly good and entertaining.
