It's Friday the 13th. Annabel Andrews (Jodie Foster) thinks that her Mom doesn't know what it's like to be a teenager. At the very same moment in time, each of them wishes that they could be in each others' shoes and, in Disney fashion, they get their wishes.

Freaky Friday is based on a 1972 novel of the same name by American writer Mary Rodgers. Rodgers also wrote the screenplay for the movie. A TV version of Tal Mãe, Tal Filha (1995) was remade in 1995, and a movie remake of Sexta-Feira Muito Louca (2003) was released in 2003.
