The image with searchlights, cars, and crowds was depicted as a "typical Hollywood scene".

According to contemporary articles in the Los Angeles Times and Daily Variety, Vera Miles suffered multiple injuries during this production. She had multiple bruises from falling down a flight of stairs in thirty takes for one scene. She also incurred more bruises and a cut lip in a scene where she went through breakaway glass with too much force.
