The opening of the Columbia film, They Rode West took place on Thursday, December 23, 1954, at the Grand theatre (Clark, near Randolph)---it appeared as the bottom-half of a double-bill, the top feaature being Fire Over Africa, starring Maureen O'Hara and MacDonald Carey. "Fire Over Africa" deals with a smuggling ring in Tangier.
"They Rode West" again teams Robert Francis and May Wynn who carried the romantic interest in that ruggedly masculine fiilm, "Caine Mutiny."
Donna Reed and Phil Carey are co-starred with Francis and Miss Wynn.
