The play originally opened on Broadway in New York at the Morosco Theatre, 217 W. 45th St. on 9 Sepember 1929 and had 72 performances.

This film has been preserved by the Library of Congress.

The script tells us Mary Bancroft was 17 years old in 1911, making her 36 at the time of the story, i.e. 1930; actress Elsie Ferguson was actually 47 the year the story went before the cameras.
