Opens with a beautiful picture of a ship coming into harbor and then introduces to us a young Irishman immigrant. It then turns to some Americans of means and begins a love story with the object of showing how we are all being melted up together in the crucible. The hero grows up to be a power in city politics and there is a graft episode to prove his moral courage. In this part of the story there is snap. As a whole, it will go fairly well.
