The first episode was very promising but the second episode is mainly drama with a sprinkling of LEGO. How about a LEGO competition show where we get to see all the models in detail.

I'll make this short and to the point. The LEGO building is amazing! The writing and jokes are not. Their is terrible, unnecessary drama and people crying ALL THE TIME for dumb reasons. This would've been better as a straight up reality competion instead of a scripted, melodramatic-"try hard to make the audience chuckle"-type show. I do reccomend though because the creations are stunning!

They should have a kids version of it. I am 13 year old and would love to do this. I would say I'm pretty good and if this will become a choice I would do it right away.

I totally love this show. It's so goofy and honestly a bit cringy but that's the charm. It's a reality TV contest show. Of course the writing will follow that but Will Arnett is great!! The way he plays the simple little jokes makes me laugh. It feels more real than most. As far as those that say it's too much about the people. That is totally a part of brick building. Personality is a thousand percent in line with building. That's where you get those fun crazy builds. It's Lego. The more childish the better. Do we forget what it's like to be a kid? I love this show because it's childish and I think that embides Lego. Be a child.

Please less reality show drama and more killer builds. I don't care how long it takes them. I would much prefer see experts make insane 3 day builds that are worthy of legoland than see a rushed attempt at something. At the very least give them more time than you did. No one wants to see half assed builds because of some arbitrary time crunch.

I created a profile just because the reviews i was reading were so negative. I think we can all agree that the age group that can get the most out of legos are children and their wonderful imaginations. The fact my children loose their minds over this show and pull out old legos when viewing this show is enough for me to endorse it. You have an engaged host, a little reality drama for the parents, and wonderful little cutscenes that show the builds come to life at the end of the show. The show brings my family together and if the kids enjoy it its an automatic win for me. And please lego fan boys chill out on your lego bashing

Jamie must be replaced as a judge. He's too robotic & seems to lack a personality. Amy isn't much better. They need judges that are fun & want to be there. The host is the show's saving grace!! Will is awesome!!

We don't normally watch competition shows with our kids (ages 4 & 6) but it's Legos!!! The technical working that goes into these builds... the math and science skills they display.... are great lessons for kids and adults!!!!
We play LEGO masters at home now!
We hope this show comes back for more seasons!

Being able to create amazing Lego creations is like singing, or playing the piano. I'm always envious of those who can just sit down and play the piano or sing any song well. I feel the same way about people who can come up with amazing Lego pieces. It's takes a very special talent to be able to do any of these on the fly. I love watching what people are able to create without instructions. I personally need a step by step guide to put anything Lego item. Together. Those who can think out of the brick box will love this show. My son loves Lego and Lego has been a very important influence in his recovery from a TBI. Lego has allowed him to relearn hand/eye coordination and patience. Since his accident he has built many sets as it builds his self esteem. For these reasons is why I like Lego Masters a lot. (I'm a big Will Arnett fan so that helps this show imo).
Yes, LM has all the reality show tropes we know such as commercial break teasers, unnecessary built up drama, feel-good contestant stories, celebrity cameos, cheesy writing, fake out elimination rounds and more but it doesn't take itself too seriously. Will Arnett calls that self deprecation out when it happens too. I only wish that when contestants won a round that they would receive something more than a pat on the back. I wish they would win a little something for the weekly challenges. There is a "golden brick" a team can win and use as immunity but that only comes into play once per season. What this show is all about, though, is the Lego creations. There are so many amazing works that come out of the heads and hands of the contestants here. The first season has had the best ones yet probably because we aren't expecting the types of work that get turned out week after week. I'm worried that LM will run out of modeling ideas soon. We have watched a lot of creations get blown up, dropped, smashed, uphold to 60mph winds, sustain a ton of weight, wrecking balled, bucked off by a bull, etc. I don't know how many more way we can watch Lego get destroyed. I credit Will Arnett for keeping us interested in watching week after week. A lesser host would probably not be able to keep our interest season after season.

"Lego Masters" is a competition show in which ten teams of two builders each compete for $100,000. In the pilot, host Will Arnett introduces the two judges and explains the concept of the "golden brick"---awarded to the winner of the day's competition, it gives that team immunity from elimination when redeemed.
The teams are extremely diverse, from all demographics. And there is a variety of relationships: newlyweds, father-son teams, fellow cosplayers, etc.
The first episode had the teams building theme parks over the course of 15 hours. That sounds like plenty of time, but they needed all of it to design, build and motorize their themed amusement parks.
The tone of the show is light and humorous, thanks in large part to host Arnett. But the teams are very serious about winning and displaying their talents. Lego-philes should love it. For anyone who likes creative play, this is great fun.

Absolutely love the idea for this show and the challenges are great. But there is just way tot much fabricated drama and time spent talking and focusing on drama. Show the freaking builds and techniques and creativity. They spend like 5 minutes per episode showing off and explaining the final builds, and there are like 10 builds.

This show is so much fun to watch. I love the creativity and imagination of the teams. I have loved Legos since I was little so seeing amazing builds with them is very entertaining. Will Arnett is a fantastic host and he is absolutely hilarious. He also did the voice of Batman in the Lego movies. This show is great for kids and adults who are kids at heart like me. It's amazing what people can build with little plastic bricks. I will continue to watch this show for as many seasons as it has. Imagination holds no limits so anything is possible when it comes to Lego building. Get your brick on!!!

Been watching from season 1 had a good idea behind the show. But it's lost its charm. It became too focused on people and less on the builds I get we need to get an idea of the contestants but it's way too focused on them. And if nick cannon becomes the new host that's the nail in the coffin, I'll be done with the show.

Either I'm getting old or the people behind this program are clueless. Forced emotional drama, flashy effects while someone is talking, loud music and an intro made up of "dramatic" moments don't necessarily make for a good program. If I wanted that there are plenty of programs like that to pick from. I tuned into this for the Lego builds and build process, not forced dramatic tripe. Deeply disappointing waste of time. 1/10.

Somewhat entertaining but only because it's LEGO. Wish they'd focus more on that rather than focusing so much on the characters. Countless times you'd see one build with a little bit done then it would pan to the same people a few minutes later and they would be nearly done (......?). Maybe it was because it was just the first episode

The show itself is awesome. Watching people build lego creations while Will Arnette hosts is great. However, the judges are the worst. Zero personality and their criticisms do not seem at all accurate with the pieces they are criticizing. They are constantly worried about story telling elements and time constraints that put an unnecessary limit on what these awesome artists can do. I feel like the builders are all great and the judges seem to be more jealous than constructively critical.

It's definitely a reality show, but I just feel like it's a bit too forced at points and certain moments are just flat awkward. I can tell Will is a little out if his comfort zone but he's really trying to navigate this and make it good. My least favorite part of this show is the Brickmasters. They don't seem like they even want to be there in my personal opinion.

I LOVE LEGO! I was so excited when I heard about this show. One of the greatest things about LEGO is seeing how people build different things with them. Unfortunately this is not what we are getting in the first episodes. Instead of focusing on creativity and the amazing build process the producers are focused entirely on the weird cast and playing up their eccentricities and emotions. I think LEGO fans would rather watch builders figuring out how to make stuff than watch them sniveling about the time constraints and the possibility of letting down their partner.

Poster boy will arnett (arguably the most fun part of the lego movies with his turn as lego batman) hosts this lego build competition. i've seen the first episode, and the teams of builders are all known to each other (friends, marrried couples, father/son, siblings, etc) and start almost immediately building their own theme park sections that will then go together. the 2 judges are world-class lego artists.
with the exception of a wide-eyed fluffy-haired blonde lady from texas (who mugs endlessly for the camera while staring directly into it) they're all pretty likeable. pretty high nerd quotient, though, unsurprisingly. i would think this might be a show to run in the summer, but it works here too.
