Final Kill

Barely even an action movie. A lot of talking throughout the movie. The dialogue is solid and the plot is okay but the movie really drags on. If you're looking for an entraining action movie there are far better options. The minimal action is laughable and the movie ends extremely abruptly with an anticlimactic confrontation.

Final Kill is a low budget action film that tells the story of Mickey Rome (portrayed by Ed Morrone) who is a mercenary hired by Camila (portrayed by Anita Leeman Torres) and Ray (portrayed by Edward Finlay) to protect them in Costa Rica after they go into hiding for stealing money from the mob. Mickey has a perfect record on protecting his clients and plans to do one more job before he officially retires.

Surprisingly, my favorite part of this film was not the action but rather the comedy. I thought Mickey's character added a lot of humor to the film.

However, where the film lacked was in the story and action. The story never really delves into who the mob is, who is the company that Mickey works for, what is the outcome for Camila and Ray. Rather, the film ends on a cliffhanger surrounding Mickey without really answering any questions. In addition, the action in the film is pretty bad. I appreciated that Mickey was not superhuman and showed normal injuries. However, there are a couple scenes where he definitely should've been done and somehow was able to take the enemy down.

Another minor issue I had was Danny Trejo was on a poster I saw for the film but only has a few minutes in the film.

For these reasons I would rate the film a 3/10. If you want to watch a B-movie action comedy it's not horrible but it's not a great film.

I give it 3 stars because it is actually entertaining, if you want to kill an hour. Main character is so obnoxious and the whole plot is so silly that it is actually funny.

This entire movie felt like a poorly done ripoff of a Quentin Tarantino film. It was predictable with lots of bad acting (which I have to believe is due to the writing and directing more than (most of) the actors. Had I not paid for it I wouldn't have even finished watching, it was that bad.

I am just wondering and asking myself how it must feel to make terrible films all the time.
