When I read the reviews on here I'm just glad I don't have the same sense of humor than the negative reviewers, as it is obvious for who they voted for. Okay I will admit that nowadays almost every comedian makes fun of Trump at one point, but then again it's very understandable as he's probably the dumbest president that ever existed and probably will be for centuries more. But I get it that if you voted for that orange racist nitwit that you're not going to be happy when comedians bash on him. You can check every stand-up comedy where there is a bit of Trump bashing and you will get the same negative reviews. That's something you just can't avoid when half of your audience consists out of dumb rednecks. Anyways just don't pay attention to those negative reviews as Trevor Noah has more humor in his little pinkie toe than the entire republican audience all together. I thought his jokes, mimics and accents were very funny and I'm glad I'm not the only one. The only minor point to me is that there were some jokes that I heard before from his previous shows, funny jokes for sure, but I think every new show should consist out of complete new material, especially for his fans that watch every show of him. If you liked Trevor Noah before this show you will still like him after watching Son Of Patricia.

Just seen it on Netflix. I think it's fair to give it a 6/10.
There's nothing bad about the show but there is nothing brilliant or profound about it. I just finished the show and already I'm forgetting about what I've watched or heard. There's simply nothing memorable. Compared to all of his previous standups, this one is the worse for me. Normally you can expect something great or original especially towards the end of any standups, but Trevoh just thew in and recycle some stuffs and ends his show that way.
Not sure why Trevor choose to do this show. Should have waited for better materials before doing one. Overall felt very monotonous and underwhelming. I don't think I will ever re-watch this one. (I've re-watch his other standups countless times).

Trevor Noah was comical. He had witty jokes and talked about current events. The jokes delivered and were on point. If you feel some type of way about racism, and live in a bubble maybe this is not for you. Stick with your flavorless potatoes.

Had high expectations from the new Trevor Noah stand up special. Unfortunately, most of it seemed predictable and formulaic.
Really liked his earlier stand up specials , and his book - born a crime - so a bit surprised at how mechanical and almost forced this one felt.

I laughed so much on certain subject. When he talked about his "camping" trip and the tacos!!! This was my first time ever watching anything of his and I have to say I loved it.

A few clever jokes hidden in long-winded storytelling. As someone with ADHD, I had a hard time trying to stay focused on the program. I had to turn on subtitles to try to keep my mind from wandering off. Had to replay bits over again but I didn't miss anything funny. The taco part was the only funny segment.

As brilliant as everything he's done. The snake story especially had me in stitches

Trevor is as wonderful as he always is. As a die hard south african fan who has watched every one of his stand ups, every daily show and all of his YouTube "between the scenes" posts, a couple of this shows sketches were not entirely new. But I will not fault it on that. They were still funny, albeit they were clearly adapted for a more American audience. I wish everyone had a mom like Patricia. She is hilarious. We need a Noah family sitcom ASAP.

I came looking for more of the same and, while Trevor is still funny in a way that doesn't hurt anybody, this was better than the first one. The jokes are smarter and funnier and his storytelling style never fails to impress, it's different from any other comedian. Definitely another must-see for stand up fans.

It started off nicely but then he lost me....

Judging by some of the reviews, seems clear the Trump sycophants are online to bash Trevor... Watch it and judge for yourself.
3 words: Snakes, tacos, and napkins... Try to keep a straight face.

As uncomfortable as it is that he uses the n-word in his stories, he does so with elegance and in a way that always has a meaning. Son of Patricia was great, although I would've loved more about Patricia to be honest.

I enjoyed this special a lot, he's a great impressionist and tells some illuminating stories about his mother. Was really only political for 10 minutes or so.

Trevor really need to brush on his History, at times I felt embarrassed for him. This special comes across as amaturish at best. That Bali joke almost put me to sleep. The taco one was sort of funny, abit.
Orange man bad.
Foreign man talk funny.

I'd say watch it if you're already a fan, but if not you are't missing much.

It is a bit slow in the beginning, but right around the snakes it picks up!
Haven't laughed this hard in a long time, I can always count on Trevor Noah to dampen my depression❤

I have only had the pleasure of enjoy Trevor's talent and skill on the Daily Show and was thrilled to come across his stand-up. This was my first one to view on my list.
It takes me a lot to laugh and I laughed plenty and out loud. Not sure why all the negative reviews and complaints about racisim - I mean really though? Freakin' Snowflakes whinning everywhere - pffft.
About to watch his Afraid of the Dark in New York :D
Trap, Snake, Taco and closing was absolutely awesome!!!! Thanks for the laughs and brilliant comedy <3

Trevor Noah, probably the most (self-selectingly)nuanced political pundit on race relations. Yet somehow he manages to denigrate entire races based on his anecdotal experiences. The funniest bit was how unoriginal his racism was; you can find this level of observational comedy at any open-mic night.
Is this what passes as a professional comedian these days? Netflix should be ashamed of hosting a comedy special for such a person.

Trevor Noah (son of Patricia): (10/10)
I love him. I absolutely love him. His snake story is good, I still laugh on it thinking about it. Trevor is a true gem, can do any type of comedy, can learn any language , and can speak in any accent!
I adore him! Became an instant fan after born a crime.

Not much can be said about this. It has a low entertaining value.
He told a couple of slow and boring stories but barely any jokes.
The Trump bashing quota is also filled which is expected from every comedian nowadays.
It was interesting that he spoke Xhosa.

This entire standup session is hilarious. Reading through the reviews, it looks like this special (and some of his other specials) have been review "bombed" by people giving it between 1 and 3 stars. I presume these are from staunch Trump supporters, since he mocks the president during the routine.

Writing from a city mired with sadness in the past 4 months, I was happy to discover serendipitously that this show is on Netflix, and proceeded to watch it. There were a number of minor jokes, and one major one involving a past POTUS that made me LOL and laugh til I had tears of joy. I hadn't laughed so much in so many months, and I am glad that there is still a comedian to bring happiness to me, albeit fleeting, as I prefer watching this instead of TV news.
