Hello everyone, I'm Mr. C Reviewer, tonight we are discussing the TV Show, Loki. I watched it on Disney plus. The show first aired June 9, 2021. Each episode has a runtime of about 50 minutes. It was rated 12. The show was directed by Kate Herron and created by Michael Waldron, Bisha K. Ali, Elissa Karasik and Eric Martin for episode one. Some of the characters was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby.

Summary: The cunning god of mischief, embarks on a thrilling adventure following his escape.

Review: -I appreciated the show's opening, which takes place immediately following the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019). Where a version of Loki, escapes from captivity using the Tesseract during a time heist gone wrong. While watching the show there was times that I found the pacing to be inconsistent; some episodes felt prolonged while others hurried through significant plot developments. This uneven rhythm contributed to a disjointed viewing experience. Despite this, I appreciated the show's unique narrative structure, which incorporates elements of time travel and alternate realities. The introduction of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) adds an intriguing bureaucratic dimension to the superhero genre, opening up fresh storytelling avenues that maintained my interest. This innovative approach to world-building was particularly enjoyable for fans who appreciate intricate plots that weave together various timelines. A key aspect I found of the show was Loki's struggle with his sense of self, particularly regarding his past actions and future possibilities. This journey resonates with viewers who value stories cantered on personal growth and self-acceptance, highlighting the complexities of identity in a changing world. I appreciated how Loki's distinctive humour was seamlessly woven into the show, offering a sense of levity amidst its serious themes. This balance enhanced my experience, as I sought both entertainment and deeper messages. I found the gore in the show to be visually impressive; some scenes appeared quite realistic. As an autistic individual, I was especially grateful for the inclusion of subtitles, which made it easier to follow the dialogue. I was happy that it told us what was being said when it was in another language.

I admired how the film's cinematography skilfully employed a variety of shot types to enhance its storytelling. Close-up shots effectively captured the emotional nuances of characters during intense dialogue, allowing viewers to connect deeply with their expressions and reactions, thereby enhancing dramatic tension. Medium shots established character interactions while providing context about their surroundings. Wide shots showcased the expansive settings of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) headquarters and other locations, emphasizing the unique brutalist architectural designs. The series effectively employed overhead shots to evoke a sense of surveillance and control by the TVA over Loki. Dynamic tracking shots followed characters through diverse environments, enhancing the narrative's urgency. In contrast, static shots were utilized during dialogue-heavy scenes, fostering a contemplative atmosphere that emphasized character interactions. Lighting played a pivotal role, with single light sources casting dramatic shadows that deepened character portrayal and mood. Characters were often framed centrally against architecturally intriguing backgrounds, reminiscent of classic noir cinema.

I found the visual effects in Loki to be remarkable, as they played a crucial role in establishing the show's distinctive aesthetic and narrative. The series masterfully combined practical effects with CGI to craft its unique settings, especially within the Time Variance Authority (TVA). The CGI was particularly effective in conveying intricate ideas such as time travel and alternate realities, which added significant depth to the storyline. The vibrant colours and creative designs contributed to an immersive visual experience that captivated viewers. I appreciated how the show provided on-screen text to indicate our current setting and year. I found the film's soundtrack and sound effects to be particularly effective, as they complemented the scenes.

-I enjoyed encountering the characters, reconnecting with Loki, and meeting new faces. It was fascinating to delve deeper into their backgrounds and personalities throughout the series. However, I would have appreciated a bit more depth and backstory for certain characters. I liked the introduction of figures like Sylvie and Mobius, they embody strong, multifaceted female roles that significantly enhance the narrative. The series effectively explores Loki's motivations, insecurities, and personal growth over the episodes, which added a layer of humanity to a character previously viewed mainly as a villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The portrayal of antagonists in this show enriches the storyline; I feel that they were depicted with complex motivations that challenge conventional villain stereotypes rather than being portrayed as purely evil.

-I found the conclusion of season one quite satisfying and well-executed. However, I did notice that a couple of episode endings felt somewhat predictable. I appreciated that by the end of episode six, we finally uncovered the identity of the person behind the TVA. Additionally, I enjoyed the extra scene included at the end of episode four. The crime and mystery atmosphere reflected in the ending credits of each episode was particularly captivating and added to my overall enjoyment.

I rate each Show I watch out of 10 and for this one, I give it a 7.5 Remember this was what I thought about the Program personally and I suggest that you give it a go for yourself.

This is antihero energy for the win, and oh let's add the talented and wonderful Owen Wilson? I love Zoolander and Wes Anderson flicks. So having a solid performance by Owen always increases the value of the project. We should all be in. Keeper and watcher of the timelines, and finally sitting on his thrown that he's always wanted. What a twist, yet so perfectly casted, and done. This show is the best marvels put out. Period. Period. Period. Wandavision was also lovely. But let's bow down to the god of mischief and turning that into mischief managed. For now... Tom Hiddleston is one of my favorites in the MCU. Perfectly casted as Thor; I mean Loki. Watch, and you shan't be disappointed.

The supporting cast is equally impressive, with Owen Wilson as the charming and unpredictable Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as the enigmatic Ravonna Renslayer, and Sophia Di Martino as the mysterious Sylvie, providing Loki with intriguing companions and adversaries throughout his journey.

Loki's story takes him on a mind-bending journey through the vast expanse of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), a bureaucratic organization tasked with maintaining the sacred timeline of the multiverse. As Loki grapples with his past actions and attempts to escape the TVA's clutches, he encounters a vast array of alternate versions of himself, each with their own unique perspectives and motivations.

The show's exploration of time travel and the multiverse is both entertaining and engaging. It raises intriguing questions about the nature of reality, the consequences of altering the past, and the possibility of multiple universes existing simultaneously. Loki's journey through these concepts adds a new layer of complexity to the MCU's mythology, while providing ample opportunities for thrilling action sequences and thought-provoking philosophical musings.

Personally, Season 1 of Loki is stronger than Season 2, but both seasons offer engaging narratives and captivating character development. Season 1 excels in its exploration of Loki's complex psychology and his journey of self-discovery, while Season 2 delves deeper into the mysteries of the multiverse and introduces new and intriguing elements to the MCU.

Loki is a worthwhile watch for fans of the MCU and science fiction. While it doesn't quite reach the heights of the very best Marvel shows, it offers a captivating and thought-provoking adventure that will keep you entertained and engaged.

Loki is a must watch for any Marvel fan! I'm a huge fan of Marvel and other superhero shows/movies so I may be a little biased but this is one of favorites series from the MCU. It's an action packed thriller from start to finish. This show will grab you and pull you into its world from the very first episode. The always brilliant Tom Hiddleston was absolutely terrific as Loki. You'll have so much fun watching this show that before you know it you'll have binged both seasons. Every episode is incredibly written. It had such high expectations and it not only met those expectations but surpassed them. There's really nothing else I can say about this show that hasn't already been said. I hope they renew this for a third season because this show deserves it.

First, even if you dislike marvel this show is completely different from marvel and is more mature and deep.

This show has so much phylpsopical depth about time and the weight and value of desicions and life. The concepts all make sense within themselves and it is really a show that makes you think. I have NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. It almost never gets to a Marvel big cliche epic fight and actually explores the concepts and phylosophy for once.

I cant stress enough how interesting and unique this show is.

(It also has subtle critisisms on governmental figures and authorities claiming to the right thing.)

It is also really creative with all kinds of places, times, people, and crazy solutions that actually make sense. So many memorable crazy moments it's really special.

The visuals are beautiful, vibrant but not over-the-top colours and also beautiful music to add to the expreience.

The show just has a mysterious, cool vibe that stays with you.

This show manages to be both fun and very phylosophical with great characters, it's an underapriciated masterpiece.

Season 2 is just as good as season one if not better so it stands this test.

The only reason for it being a 9 instead of 10 is the characters being a little (just a tiny bit) too cartoonish, but its also charming so dont let it stop you from watching this amazing show.
