The Housefull franchise has always thrived on loud humor and slapstick comedy. What once was an occasionally amusing madhouse now feels like a painfully forced circus. Let's start with the elephant in the room - the script. Or rather, the lack of it. The plot of Housefull 5 feels like it was written in haste over a single coffee break, without any effort to tie the sequences into a cohesive story. It relies on outdated humor, and tests the patience of even the most loyal fans of the series.
Director Tarun Mansukhani, best known for Dostana, delivers what is undeniably the weakest execution in the Housefull series so far. While previous entries, despite their flaws, had occasional entertaining sparks and comic timing, this one feels like a chaotic improvisation exercise gone terribly wrong. The screenplay is riddled with pointless sequences that add no value and only stretch the runtime. The second half, in particular, becomes a patience test, scenes come and go without context. There's an uncomfortable reliance on double-meaning jokes.
Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan try their best to keep the energy alive. Their comic timing occasionally brings some charm to the otherwise tasteless scenes. Fardeen Khan and Dino Morea offer decent support. However, the female cast Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Soundarya Sharma, and Chitrangda Singh are reduced to mere glamour props. The hyper sexualization of Soundarya Sharma's character in particular feels uncomfortable, drawing unnecessary attention rather than laughs. Shreyas Talpade, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, and Ranjeet are utterly wasted. The entry scenes for Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Nana Patekar were great but performance suffered from the lackluster writing.

Housefull 5 had a lot of big stars, so I expected it to be a fun and entertaining movie. But sadly, it was a huge letdown. The plot didn't make much sense and felt like it was just copied from old movies. The comedy, which is supposed to be the main part of the Housefull series, was almost missing. Most jokes were not funny at all, and the timing felt off.
With so many famous actors in one film, they could have done something really great. But it seems like the makers didn't put in enough effort. It looked more like they made the movie just for money.
In the end, Housefull 5 is a movie that fails to entertain. The weak story, lack of good comedy, and wasted star cast make it hard to enjoy. If you are hoping for laughs or something memorable, this movie is not worth your time.

I miss old akshay movies. This movie has no base. Mekers should attention other important elements and character. Sons has no connection to movies. There are some vulgure words and gesture in the movie. So watching this movie with the family members is not recommended. Who has basic understanding about a good movie will be disappointed after watching this movie. Day by day the quality of Bollywood movies are falling. Directors of Bollywood only makes movies by selected actors. New talented actors are heavely neglected. This bad practice in Bollywood is even makes the situation worse. This is total time waste movie.
Worst movie complete waste of time Nothing like a comedy they just gathered a lot of stars and made a garbage movie i just saw Housefull A. I could not run out of theater movie became too slow after the entry of Khalnayak movie stars jokes were too pathetic. Heroines were trying a lot to make public laugh but failed overall acting of all characters were good but no comedy The dead body of Ranjit was getting disappear from the position so overall a bekar movie no paisa wasool it was only a paisa waste movie Akshay was ok but movies scene were not corelating the subject no need of so many characters anything was happening.
I mean, the title itself says it all, "Housefull of flies!" These people have zero knowledge of storytelling, filmmaking, or anything remotely close to what you'd call a film. And somehow, they're shelling out 240 crores budget for this? Seriously? This film shouldn't even get 10 lakhs.
It honestly makes me cringe, disgusted, to see people rating such nonsense films so highly. And these actors? I don't even have the words. How shameful is it to be part of something that has nothing and on top of that, deliver horrendous acting?
It's literally dog-eats-dog, as some say. They're all just hyping each other up and patting backs for mediocrity after mediocrity. If you have no clue about acting, storytelling, or filmmaking, please, pick another profession and let people who care actually make films.
This isn't comedy anymore, it's worse than even the most basic slapstick made with minimal setups in some rural African country out there online. And those folks probably still have more cinematic understanding than this bunch.
Seriously, who even made these people actors, actresses, or filmmakers? They're just taking audiences for a ride, milking the system with zero accountability. This isn't just bad filmmaking, it's filmmaking apathy.
