Blackfox

This is the most different anime I have seen so far. Feel like anime, but set up in Marvel style. Bringing back ninja in modern style, to put on action was brilliant ideas. The negative of it is the connection between part of story is weak and short. You should watch this movie if you like Dragon Ball, Naruto.

So the fights move really well, arguably the best parts of the film. However I couldn't take my eyes off the dog, Orobos. It's like the animators had NEVER seen a live dog and didn't know how to animate it. He moves like a mess, his body shape changes quite a few times and near the end suffers an animation error while walking. Also the cliches, so many cliches abound. It's an ok film to kill time with but definitely not worth owning.

Blackfox or Black Fox is something unusual, seemingly suffered from some troubled production issues it stands somewhere between being a backdoor pilot for a potential series or part of a series condensed into a single 90-minute movie. While some of this might have hurt the film in the end, it didn't detract too badly from the enjoyment and entertainment factor behind it.

Blackfox is light on story, there are obviously chunks of story missing. It's a shame on that end because this does have so much good potential and that potential may rest with ultimate success of this film.

What it really has going for it, are some exciting and stylish action sequences sprinkled throughout, you'll be hard press to not be entertained by the various action scenes sprinkled out through this film. Best part it is, it shows rather than tells like many in the action genre of anime fall to.

Blackfox is pretty much on par with most Marvel movies this day and age and if you can enjoy those movies you can certainly enjoy this.

Concept was cool. Fight scenes were great. Storyline seemed wicked forced at parts. With such a slow & steady intro, for them to just speed through some of the more important plot and leaving out some crucial information only to leave a cliffhanger as if this is going to be a series... It makes me not want to watch that potential series. If that were the case, we should've had more in the middle and the end OR, just end the movie sooner and leave bigger questions looming over our heads.

This film was an amazing work of art to me! Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it beats everything on my list, but it definitely is on their list in the top 10. The fight choreography, the intro, the ending, the interactions, the humor, the emotion, all of these are so well thought out and amazing! Yeah, Orobos has animation slips, but we shouldn't let that dissuade us from seeing it is a great movie, because of Orobos, its not a perfect score, but I would definitely recommend this to friends. If you don't mind death, blood, and manipulation, this film is perfect for a movie night in my honest opinion. 9/10 Will so watch again
