The court system obviously extends beyond the Solar System. So the lawyer for a race that is going to take the oceans away from earth crosses swords with the man they deem the worst lawyer there is. The case last ten minutes but a lot is presented in that time. Quite charming, to say the least.

All the ideas are very well executed. I really appreciate the finer details like how spended the room looked and her outfit. It all feels really special.

A dark comedy about the humanity future. well made . well acted. proposition of a huge trade. a not brilliant lawyer and a seductive negotiator. a huge deal. and few words changing everything. short, one of bitter+sweet short films. great for the atmosphere, story and the status of warning.

Sometimes, these shorts are trailers (NOT previews, look up the difference if you are unsure) to get investors to pony up for the full movie. Then along comes a simple, yet elegant short like this one. It can't be made into a full-length movie, or rather, it shouldn't. Nothing wrong with that. Just enjoy it for what it is: 1. Great script. 2. Superb acting. 3. Excellent timing, both in the character's interaction and the pace.

The creativity and the premise were interesting. Somehow I think this must have been done before. Even in a short great actors respond to great directing.
