I can say with confidence that it is a banal wasted hour and a half to watch.

There is still a stereotype that you can take a pretty girl with a mustache and a crazy maniac and bring them together. It already sounds trite. And when such a crooked performance also turns out, then what is there to talk about.

The actress of the main role does not play very well. In some situations, it can be seen that it does not pull out.

The main downside is that the script is imperfect and confusing. The authors were flying in their thoughts, so the creative team had to start from their understanding of the picture and shot a set of random scenes that the editing director put together. That's how this movie came out.

And the ending completed the misunderstanding.

Three is the ceiling for this project.

It is not permissible to waste your time in such a movie, I swear that it is cheaper than any horror movie I have seen in my life..I can't believe there is a budget for this movie.

I dont understand nowdays movies seem very predictable and every scene leading to be predictable, the acting is not bad but when it spredictable its boring and repetitive, its just a movie to not watch but keep it running on the background or fall asleep to..

I rented this by mistake. I had avoided it since it's release due to user and critic reviews. Tonight I rented it thinking it was another movie. I knew I was in for something truly awful when I saw "Directed by James Cullen Bressack." Bressack was once a promising young filmmaker, now he's a not so young hack who churns out cheap garbage by the ton. This one though, this one is next level lousy. Nevermind the plotholes so large you could drive an eighteen wheeler through them and then parallel park it. Nevermind the absolute impossibility of the plot. As much as those things insult the viewer's intelligence, the real crime against filmmaking here is casting the usually great Bruce Davison in role that wastes his talent completely. I would only recommend this dreck to true masochists who would like to experience an hour and a half of amateurish hell that feels lime it lasts for days.

This film is a terrible time waster. The girl is pretty and has a passing resemblance to Angelina Jolie. However, the writing is absolutely atrocious. This film wouldn't even make it to a Walmart $1 bin. It would be more appropriate as a 25-cent item as a garage sale. If only a few things were bad about it, I would spend the time writing what was wrong with it. But every minute of this film is truly terrible. The true horror with this film is the time I spent watching it.

I think 4-5 is a fair score. The first thing I'd say, respectfully, is when the main character is supposed to be penniless, don't cast someone who's clearly had work done to their face. She's a decent actress don't get me wrong, but it really took me out of the film. People who have never had money don't have lip-fillers. That aside, I thought it was okay overall. Some parts were ridiculous. The script could've been better. But the premise was good. Some cliche moments will likely make your eyes roll. But if you like a thriller, and aren't expecting the next Silence of the Lambs, then this film is serviceable.

The actress playing the lead was beautiful & remote & scared & traumatized. She gets a bit of good luck & timing after the most frightening character; her slumlord of her dilapidated room for which she is 6 months in arrears. She is reduced to selling blood in her neighborhood where the food sellers dont take money without papers like ID-- sounds ominous but goes nowhere as all this set up seems a pointless waste when they rush the second act: Her getting a free house ( in the 48 hrs or she may lose it) so she sells her blood to get to the lawyers office. Despite the weather & time they head out to her new free house. From family she doesn't recall. I thought making the lawyer a guy who in snowstorm would drive away in the dark WITHOUT making sure the housekeys worked was funny. The rest of the film is SLOW, boring meandering & then it goes down from there. Its not scary the story is weak & worn. The actress cannot be blamed for the script but I also think she was miscast. I just didnt buy any of it. So save 90 plus minutes or so. I regretted staying as long as I did. As for the filmmakers; everyone did their job well enough- it just didn't result in a great film. Next time they will be better!!

Okay, i have seen a lot of horror films. Captors was another one that i liked very much. I would love to see a sequel to this movie. The main character goes through so much trauma and violence from her captor. Will she triumphed in the end!?

The Main Character Doesn't Know Because She Can't Distinguish Between Reality And What Is Not Real, Is She Crazy? Maybe, I Haven Gotten To The End Yet, But I'm Betting, Than Two Left Shoes On a Persons Feet!

This movie was extremely blah. It had the potential to be a really good film but is riddled with holes. None of what is going on makes any sense. It kinda reminded me of Saw. Like there was some game going on but there was no real absolution. Maybe if you dive more into it, there's something I missed but I seriously doubt it. For a storyline based on one of the horrors of the world, it falls flat. There's no redemption what so ever and I'm not sure how this movie has ratings of 10. They are obviously fake reviews. This movie was no more than a four at best. Watch if you want but don't expect some amazing psychological thriller because that it is not.

A sicko movie whose nastiness is almost topped by its weirdness. So obviously any true horror fan worth their salt needs to see it! Tainted food, sex trafficking, drugged, deceit - The victim Alice goes through it all. Psychological thriller of the year hands down. Going to watch it again tonight.

Captors is one of the best horror movies I've watched in a while. I didn't get any spoilers while watching this movie and the ending was thrilling. I am going to look for more Bressack films and Yulia Klass plays the victim splendidly. Worth a watch or two for sure.

Captors movie is a very good and one of the best thrillers and one of the most interesting and tense ones. Very unique story line and extremely tense and entertaining, it kept me guessing what is going on and how are things going to go. Very well done story and directing, good acting, great effects, and a great twist. Very well done and entertaining.

I accidentally stumbled onto this one when I was googling another film. It looked intriguing and I decided to stream it. I wasn't disappointed! I really enjoyed it. The main character is subjected to a lot of trauma and violence - great thriller!

This new thriller will have you on the edge of your seat! Great acting and production quality.

The subject s a real eye opener, I highly recommend a must watch movie.

I love this movie! I loved everything about it. Not only does Captors create an extremely tense atmosphere from start to end, it has plenty of gore and violence to bombard your eyes, not to mention the plot twists. I LOVE that ending too. With an unknown actress she did an incredible job acting in these types of situations. This film was, in my opinion, exciting, thrilling, and an overall entertaining film to watch. It delivered the necessary chills, to keep its audiences fully awake, and engaged. This was an enormous achievement for both Yulia Klass and James Cullen Bressack. The two have created a well-deserved horror/thriller, without the necessary cliches.

Not only does this movie create an extremely tense atmosphere the moment it starts, it has plenty of blood and violence to bombard your eyes, not to mention that it has a shocking evil twist I had not seen in any horror movie. I watched this film alone at night with the lights off, expecting to be freaked out by it since I thought it was just another typical horror movie; but instead I was completely intrigued by the story line, and utterly drawn into the film for the whole 90 minutes. At the end I did not feel scared, rather, I felt something very few horror movies have to offer: satisfaction! This movie left me in a slightly disturbed but very thoughtful state. It did not give me nightmares, it plagued my day-dreams; for two days my thoughts could not stray far from this film, that's how powerful it is.

The film is not too scary that it becomes unwatchable, so the full potential of its enormity will not be missed. Actress Yulia Klass (Alice) plays remarkably well as the victim. There are twists and turns that keep you intrigued.

The writer and director do a very good job in creating the story with compelling characters and achieving that with their actors.

The main character does an excellent job showing strength and perseverance and not allowing herself to succumb to the abuse brought on by her captor.

It is an interesting story and finds a way to achieve both aspects of a thriller and horror genre. It stays away from traits found in modern horror films that have become cliche.

A very good film to keep you gripped to see how the actress will overcome the torment she endures throughout the film.

Movies like Captors are the ones that makes us believe in the horror genre. It is because of such movies we like to see horror/thriller movies. Let me tell you that after watching Captors I wanted to watch it again because after a long time I got to see a real gripping and tightly directed horror movie. The movie is very exciting and has a lot of goosebumps.

From the first minute to last this film twists and turns you until you feel bad for Alys played amazingly by Yulia Klass. Similar to movies like Saw, the all-round Grittiness that director James Cullen Bressack creates disgusts and enthralls. Without spoiling there is a H U G E twist that makes your blood curdle. Must see if you like psychological horror films!
