10 absolutely unhinged moments from DC movies and TV shows
Image
A beautiful thing about superhero movies and TV shows is that they can do things comic books can’t. The main reason for that is that the source material has to worry about continuity or things getting too silly or violent. Without that restraint, you see things from Batman, Superman, and others that won’t happen in their issues.

This list will highlight 10 odd, wild, and sometimes unhinged moments in DC Comics TV shows and movies. Some of them are funny, while others are destructive, vile, and flat-out weird. Let’s start with a scene of accidental pleasure.

Brendan Fraser, Diane Guerrero, Matt Bomer, April Bowlby in Doom Patrol Season...

‘Chad Powers’ Cast: Who’s in the Sports Comedy on Hulu?
Image
Created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, Hulu is suiting up for one of its quirkiest sports comedies, Chad Powers, with a talented cast of actors, which includes Powell, Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld, Clayne Crawford, Wynn Everett, and others. The show is based on Eli Manning’s viral 2022 Chad Powers sketch and follows disgraced quarterback Russ Holliday (Glen Powell), who tries to reboot his career by disguising himself as the hilariously fake-but-deadly serious Chad Powers.

Directed by Tony Yacenda with Eli and Peyton Manning as producers, Chad Powers will premiere on September 30, 2025, with the first two episodes dropping on Hulu the same day, followed by weekly releases.

James Gunn Confirms the Status of the Dcu's 'Waller' Series
Image
The DC Universe is officially in full swing, with Superman being a box office success and Season 2 of Peacemaker officially on our screens. The rebooted franchise recently got even more good updates, with the Clayface film officially entering production and Lanterns moving along swiftly. But, for every Dcu project that receives a positive update, there's another that falls through the cracks. First announced when James Gunn took over as co-president of DC Studios (with Peter Safran), the Viola Davis-led Waller series had seemingly been pushed to the sidelines at DC Studios as Superman, Supergirl, Lanterns, and Peacemaker took the spotlight. Thankfully, James Gunn is doing some housekeeping, including confirming...

James Gunn Confirms He’s Still “Working On” Viola Davis-Led Amanda Waller Series: “Some Things Have Moved Faster Than Others”
Image
With multiple projects in the pipeline for the newly constructed Dcu, James Gunn is assuring fans that, among them, is a long-gestating series focused on Task Force X leader Amanda Waller, originated onscreen by Oscar winner Viola Davis in 2016’s Suicide Squad.

Speaking to People in a recent interview, the Superman helmer confirmed he and DC Studios co-ceo Peter Safran are still “working on” the show.

He said, “We’re working on it, so we’ll see what happens. Some things have moved faster than others. Waller’s not been the fastest. But I can’t wait to see Viola put on their Waller pants again.”

Gunn is echoing sentiments both he and Safran expressed back in February, telling Deadline then that Waller — about the amoral U.S. government espionage director who dispatches the criminal misfit Suicide Squad team on missions — remains in the works, despite the project remaining difficult to break.

The 9 Best Superhero Shows on HBO Max
Image
Team Peacemaker is back — and this time, they’re in the Dcu.

Thursday saw the launch of the second season of “Peacemaker,” a spin-off of James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad” starring John Cena as the titular vigilante on a long, slow journey toward redemption. It’s one of the biggest seasons of television in DC history, with Gunn teasing strong ties to the new DC movie universe.

But “Peacemaker” is far from the first successful DC show. The comic book brand has had a long, storied history on television, with a number of hit series in both live-action and animation across various networks.

Check out these nine superhero series...

James Gunn Provides Update On The Suicide Squad's Waller Spinoff
Image
While the show was announced some three years ago, James Gunn admits that The Suicide Squad's next spinoff, Waller, is taking longer than expected. Having debuted as the iconic DC character in 2016's Suicide Squad, Viola Davis has carried the role of A.R.G.U.S. director Amanda Waller through Gunn's standalone sequel, Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam, and the first seasons of Peacemaker and Creature Commandos.

Following her appearance in the former TV show, it was announced that a Waller spinoff show was in the works at HBO Max, with Christal Henry writing and showrunning alongside Doom Patrol's Jeremy Carver. In the years since, though, the show has moved at a slower pace, particularly following Gunn and Peter Safran's hiring as the new DC Studios bosses and launching the DC Universe reboot.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporteron the red carpet for Peacemaker season 2, Gunn was asked...

DC and Marvel Shake Up Planned Collab With All-Star Roster of Talent
Image
Ahead of the release of the first part of this year's DC and Marvel crossover series, Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1, which had a series of All-Star team-ups as backups in the issue, DC is now revealing all the All-Star backups that It will be featuring in November's Batman/Deadpool #1 (behind the lead story by Grant Morrison and Dan Mora), as well as All twenty variant covers for the epic crossover event!

Writer Grant Morrison has famously done a number of past stories that have involved metafictional elements, including the hit crossover event, Multiversity, and that continues again in this issue, which DC describes as "a reality-bending saga that’s equal parts cosmic horror, slapstick noir, and metafictional therapy session. It’s the kind of comic book that knows it’s a comic book, revels in being a comic book, weaponizes its comic bookiness—and dares you to keep reading anyway!

Alan Tudyk’s DC Gem Had The Best Superman and Batman Scene That James Gunn Must Recreate
Image
Alan Tudyk voiced Clark Kent / Superman in the 2014 animated movie Justice League: War. It features one of the best scenes between the Last Son of Krypton and Batman, which I don’t mind James Gunn stealing for his rebooted Dcu. In the movie, Batman and Superman meet for the first time, leading to an epic fight scene that culminates with the two allying with each other for the greater good.

Since the Dcu will introduce its Batman in the future, a meetup between the Dark Knight and Superman is inevitable. The characters meeting for the first time will also set the tone for the Dcu’s Justice League, which makes the animated scene the perfect template for a live-action meet-up between the two heroes, and here is why Gunn needs to recreate it.

Why James Gunn Must Recreate Justice League: War‘s Superman and Batman Scene

Alan Tudyk Got Dropped From 'I, Robot' Press After Test Screening Results
Image
Alan Tudyk has revealed the surprising reason he got dropped from the marketing and press for I, Robot in the lead-up to its release in 2004. The sci-fi thriller was led by Will Smith, who stars as Del Spooner, a detective tasked with investigating the alleged suicide of a U.S. Robotics founder, as he believes that a human-like robot named Sonny might have murdered him. Tudyk provided the voice and motion-capture for the robot, but not many people were aware of it at the time, as the actor was removed from the promotional rounds for the film.

On a recent episode of the podcast Toon'd In with Jim Cummings, Tudyk admitted he was "very upset" and "shocked" by the decision, as a lot of moviegoers ended up having no idea that he was behind the CGI character due to the lack of promotion, but those in charge believed it was necessary.

Who Played the Robot in Will Smith’s ‘I, Robot’ and Why Was He Removed From Press Conference?
Image
Alan Tudyk wasn’t just behind the metallic face of Sonny in I, Robot; he was the heart, voice, and body of the character that nearly outshone Will Smith. And for that exact reason, according to Tudyk, he was erased from the film’s publicity like he never existed. In a recent candid appearance on the Toon’d In with Jim Cummings podcast, the Resident Alien star revealed that he was unceremoniously dropped from all marketing efforts after test audiences shockingly rated his performance higher than Smith’s.

A lot of people did not know I did Sonny the Robot in ‘I, Robot,’ and there is a reason. They were doing test audiences for the movie, and they score the characters in this kind of test screening. I got word back: ‘Alan, you are testing higher than Will Smith.’ And then I was gone. I was done. There was no publicity,...

The Dead Boy Detectives Should Have Had a Cameo in The Sandman Before It Signed Off
Image
One of the most devastating cancellations last year was Dead Boy Detectives.

This show, set in The Sandman universe, follows the adventures of the Dead Boy Detectives agency led by Charles and Edwin, a pair of ghost boys, along with their friends Crystal, a psychic, and Niko.

When Netflix announced that the show would not be returning for a Season 2, fans were obviously devastated.

(Ed Araquel/Netflix)

However, the streamer ordered another season for The Sandman, though Season 2 for this show would be its last.

So, fans held out hope that our favorite ghost boys would make a brief appearance.

Unfortunately, Netflix let us down yet again. Talk about rubbing salt in the wound.

New Harry Potter audiobook actress defends decision to join franchise: 'I support trans rights'
Image
If an entirely new Harry Potter TV series wasn't enough, Audible will debut an ensemble cast audio dramatization of the beloved novels later this year.

The audio series follows in the footsteps of previous successful Audible dramas, such as 1984 and The Sandman, boasting a stellar cast with names such as Hugh Laurie as Albus Dumbledore, Matthew Macfadyen as Lord Voldemort, and Riz Ahmed as Professor Snape.

Another major casting sees Michelle Gomez take on the role of Hogwarts Professor Minerva McGonagall. Naturally, people have taken issue with yet another Harry Potter adaptation, and many have also thrown shade at the cast for taking part in an adaptation of J.K. Rowling's work.

In the case of Gomez, she quickly took to her Instagram Story (per Entertainment Weekly) to speak out against Rowling's anti-trans views.

Will There Be a ‘Fellow Travelers’ Season 2? Details Inside
Image
Since the Fellow Travelers finale aired, fans have been eager to know if there will be a second season. While Showtime has not cancelled the show officially, the network has also maintained silence about its renewal. Although over a year has passed, there is no news regarding the series’ cancellation or its return for Season 2.

Showtime brought the historical romance drama to life in late 2023. Based on Thomas Mallon’s 2007 novel of the same name, the show followed the story of a closeted gay couple, the charismatic Hawkins and the submissive Timothy, spanning several decades, starting with the 1950s.

Soon after its release, Fellow Travelers became a hit with fans, especially those from the LGBTQ+ community. Viewers were impressed with the sensitivity with which creator Ron Nyswaner had depicted some of the most important events in queer history, from the Lavender Scare of the 1950s to the AIDS crisis of the 1980s.

Peacemaker and Penguin Prove It’s Time for DC to Reclaim the TV Throne
Image
In the past few years, I think most people can agree that there’s been some oversaturation in the realm of superhero media.

With the MCU releasing movie after movie and show after show, and the Dcu starting up again, the thought of keeping up with it all is very overwhelming.

I completely get it. I’m in the same boat. But hear me out: DC needs to get more into the TV show game. Marvel’s had its fun with TV shows; it’s time for DC to reenter TV shows again.

(HBO Max/Screenshot) Here’s What Happened to Old DC Shows

It’s nearly impossible to defend the state of DC shows pre-universe reboot.

Before James Gunn was brought in to bring more cohesion to the DC universe, the same way Kevin Feige heralds the MCU, the Dcu was a mess, to put it lightly.

Resident Alien Canceled: 5 Alan Tudyk Sci-Fi Shows to Watch Next
Image
The Alan Tudyk-starrer Resident Alien has been canceled after four seasons. While the show had good ratings and received good responses from critics and audience alike, the makers announced that the fourth season would be its last. Showrunner Chris Sheridan mentioned that he was glad that they were able to wrap storylines, but still left things open for a potential future (via TV Line).

Resident Alien joins a list of incredible shows that have faced the axe prematurely in recent times. While the sci-fi premise begins off in a typical alien invasion fashion, it becomes a heartwarming take on what it means to be human and shows the growth of Alan Tudyk’s Dr. Harry. The actor has also been praised for his phenomenal performance.

Thankfully, this is not the only good role from Tudyk, nor is it his only endeavor in the sci-fi realm. He has been in several shows,...

‘Resident Alien’: Linda Hamilton’s Passionate Comment Days Before the Show Got Canceled Is Heartbreaking

It was recently revealed that the current season 4 of the highly successful Syfy show Resident Alien will be its last. The shock of this cancellation will hit the fans even harder when they hear what actress Linda Hamilton had to say about the show on ComingSoon.net.

HBO Max’s TV library is stacked -- and still an awesome deal at $10 per month
Image
It’s the one streamer I plan to keep as long as I love great TV.

I’ve been subscribed to just about every streamer for years, and HBO Max has always been one of my favorites. It’s home to some of the best TV shows ever made, across almost every genre. Larry David is basically my personal idol, so the fact that it houses “Curb Your Enthusiasm” — a show that’s shaped my comedic sensibility as much as “Seinfeld” did before it — already makes it special to me.

Now that the service has rebranded back to HBO Max as of July 2025, I thought it was the perfect time to take a closer look at its TV series library, much like I did for Apple TV+ last week. I’ll be breaking down what HBO Max does best, where its lineup feels thin, how often new shows drop, and...

The Future of the Teen Titans Is in Jeopardy After James Gunn's Latest Dcu Update
Image
Following the success of Superman, fans are eager to see who else will enter the Dcu. While many names have already been confirmed, there are plenty of characters in this superhero franchise that are under speculation. One notable team is Teen Titans, which has found success over the years as a children's show program. But as the DC Studios prepares to expand its roster, James Gunn has some unfortunate news if you were hoping to see this group on the big screen anytime soon.

Over on Threads, Gunn responded to a fan who wanted to audition for the role of Beast Boy in the Dcu. The superhero filmmaker gave a direct response, saying that they're not casting anyone for the role. This is the second time Gunn has addressed casting rumors for DC's Teen Titans project, as the filmmaker debunked claims that casting would begin sometime in the fall.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Netflix Are Bringing a Beloved Superhero Back to Life After Almost Thirty Years
Image
By your powers combined, Captain Planet is back. The iconic animated eco-hero of the 1990s is going to take pollution down to zero in live-action in a new Netflix TV series. The streamer won the rights to the project at a competitive auction. Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way Productions is working on the series: no surprise, given the star's notable commitments to environmental causes. Greg Berlanti's Berlanti Productions is partnering with them, adding yet another property to their list of superheroic projects.

Deadline reports that Glen Powell will is not currently involved in the project: the Anyone But You star had been attempting to get a live-action Captain Planet project off the ground for years. However, Jono Matt, who was co-writing the project with Powell, is listed as a producer on the new series. The series will be spearheaded by Tara Hernandez, a veteran of The Big Bang Theory...

Superman 2025: Major Easter Eggs, References, & Teases
Image
James Gunn’s Superman is getting rave reviews from critics and fans alike, and amidst a host of other reasons, the emphasis on comic-book authenticity seems to be one of the major ones. The narrative itself is inspired by iconic Superman titles like Superman: Birthright, Secret Identity, Secret Origins, All Star Superman, Superman For All Seasons, and Superman: The Animated Series, to name a few, which makes it obvious that direct plot references from the source material made their way into the movie. Also, as Superman has kick-started the Dcu, expansive world-building is already in progress. There are a number of Easter eggs and in-universe references that eagle-eyed fans might have spotted, or not—let’s see after I try to spot as many as I can.

Brendan Fraser's First Leading Movie Post-Oscar Win Sets Release Date
Image
Two years after his first Oscar win, Brendan Fraser's next leading movie finally gets a release date. During the late 1990s to the 2000s, Fraser was one of Hollywood's brightest stars. He led The Mummy franchise and had other starring roles in films like George of the Jungle, Looney Tunes: Back in Action, and Journey to the Center of the Earth.

However, the actor took a career break in the 2010s, due to many factors that led to the actor shrinking away from the public eye. Later that decade, Fraser slowly started returning to Hollywood with roles in projects like DC's Doom Patrol and Steven Soderbergh's No Sudden Move.

After his Oscar win for The Whale, Fraser also appeared in Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon and 2024's Brothers. The actor was also set to play Firefly in the canceled Batgirl film. He came back in...

The Sandman 2 Vol. 1 Comic Book Differences, Explained
Image
It is rather common knowledge that comic-book adaptations tend to deviate from their source material to differing extents, and hardly any of them get to fully unlock the artistic potential confined within the original’s pages and panels. Back in 2022, when the first season of The Sandman was released, a lot of fans hailed it as one of the most faithful page-to-screen adaptations, although I couldn’t share that sentiment, as Netflix’s adaptation felt too saccharine compared to the raw, dark, tragic miasma pervading the original comic series. The sentimental undertone and desperate attempt to humanize omnipotent abstract beings are still present in the second season, but it does fare decently for the most part by successfully merging several different story arcs into a single narrative thread. However, due to the constraint of packing fifty issues into twelve episodes, there are some obvious omissions and alterations made, which I will try to highlight.

Wonder Woman: 5 More Actors Who Could Play DC Studios' Diana Prince In The Dcu
Image
Recent weeks have seen DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn provide some long-overdue updates about where things stand with the Dcu's Wonder Woman reboot.

A script is being written, and the character appears to be a priority for the Superman director. We're likely still a long way off casting news given where things stand, but that doesn't mean we can't speculate about who should suit up as Diana Prince.

You may recall that we first looked at some possible actors who could play the Dcu's Wonder Woman back in January. We stand by those choices, but have more names to add to the list, all of whom we believe would be just as capable (and perhaps even better).

To check them out, you just need to click the "Next"/"View" List buttons below.

Alan Tudyk's 'Resident Alien' Season 4 Already Boasts an Out of This World Rotten Tomatoes Score
Image
Two episodes in, and Resident Alienis back to form in Season 4. Following a strong opening episode, the most recent second, "The Lonely Man," proved to be one of the best in the series so far, even becoming the highest-rated episode of the entire series on IMDb. However, there are still eight more episodes to come, with this fourth season's high quality hopefully ready to last the distance.

The Alan Tudyk-led sci-fi dramedy has created a small but dedicated fanbase by producing an innovative and immersive drama that blends sci-fi concepts with deeply human dilemmas. In doing so, the series has always produced incredibly high critics' and audience scores on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. The first season impressed with a "certified fresh" 94% critics' score and a 92% audience rating, with Season 2 earning a perfect 100% from critics and just 74% from audiences, and the third season boasting a 92% audience score and no critics' score to date.

Why HBO Max Canceled Doom Patrol And Titans
Image
As David Harbour's canceled "Hellboy" sequel can attest, true longevity can be something of an anomaly when it comes to superhero movie series and TV shows. In fact, combine the usual behind-the-scenes shenanigans of the entertainment business with the wealth of superhero adaptations vying for attention (not to mention the relentless pressure from the fandom to get everything right), and it seems that an aspiring superhero franchise is far more likely to end abruptly like Netflix's "Jupiter's Legacy" than it is to reign supreme for decades á la the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It doesn't get any easier after a superhero project manages to reach its audience, either. Season after season, year after year, the dance must begin anew -- and in 2023, two very specific DC superhero shows experienced this the hard way. As the announcement arrived that both "Titans" and "Doom Patrol" were set to end with their fourth seasons on HBO Max,...

Why Alan Ritchson Left Titans
Image
It's hard to imagine a time when Alan Ritchson wasn't portraying the hulk of a man known as Jack Reacher in Prime Video's record breaking series "Reacher." The 6-foot 3-inch 235-pound Ritchson seems to have been born to play the giant former military policeman, and since debuting in the role in 2022, he's given fans of Lee Child's novel series, on which the show is based, a book-accurate Jack Reacher that lives up to all expectations.

But it took Ritchson a little while to find the role that has come to define his career thus far. During filming on "Reacher," the show's cast pranked him with an embarrassing part of his past by showing his "American Idol" audition from way back in 2004, proving that even bulky badasses were once just awkward kids. Ritchson did indeed start out as a model with aspirations of becoming a singer before he moved into acting,...

Reacher Fans Can Enjoy More Incredible Alan Ritchson Fight Scenes In A DC Superhero Show
Image
Before he was kicking ass as Jack Reacher on Prime Video, Alan Ritchson was tearing it up as a masked vigilante in the DC Universe. And no, we're not talking about his awesome multi-episode stint as Aquaman on "Smallville" at the very start of his career.

From 2018 to 2021, Ritchson played the macho half of the Hawk & Dove duo on "Titans." As Hank Hall, aka Hawk, the actor was able to showcase some incredible and brutal physicality, absolutely demolishing goons while garbed in a sick, comic-accurate costume. Seriously, props to the costume department; for all of the show's faults, "Titans" did a stellar job when it came to crafting some of the best superhero suits adapted for live-action, with Hawk's arguably being the best.

For fans who love watching Ritchson punch bad guys in the face, "Titans" is must-see viewing. Episodes like "Hawk and Dove" and "Faux-Hawk" perfectly foreshadow the action...

‘Final Destination Bloodlines’ Set a 71-Year-Old Woman on Fire in Record-Breaking Stunt
Yvette Ferguson
Death comes for us all, no matter the age.

Final Destination Bloodlines broke the world record for oldest person set on fire on camera, with 71-year-old stunt performer Yvette Ferguson coming out of retirement for the full-body burn.

“We lit so many different people on fire, including breaking the world record for oldest person on fire with Yvette Ferguson, who did that full body burn in the silver dress,” Zach Lipovsky, who co-directs with Adam Stein, told EW. “That was the oldest person ever on fire, on camera.”

The film’s stunt team reached out to Guinness World Records to officially submit the feat for consideration, but they have not yet heard back.

Ferguson plays Mrs. Fuller, who’s immolated in film’s 1960s-set opening sequence. Iris, a young woman on a date at a restaurant atop a 400-foot-tall tower, has a deadly promotion in which the crowded building collapses.

Sentry In Thunderbolts Explained: Will Molecule Man Make A Debut In MCU?
Image
One of the major criticisms usually directed towards the MCU is the way the franchise handles its iconic overpowered characters. Right from Hulk, Gorr the God Butcher, Adam Warlock, and Ultron—every major figure of the Marvel mythos whom fans know as notable powerhouses—were either nerfed due to poor writing or didn’t get the chance to shine. Fortunately, that didn’t happen with arguably the strongest, and also the most troubled, supe of Marvel, Sentry, and his alter ego, supervillain Void, who made their live-action debut in the recently released Thunderbolts. Although MCU’s version of the character somewhat differs from his comics counterpart, the writers respected the core of Sentry’s lore and kept his portrayal true to the source material. With Phase Five ending and the multiversal crossover event, Avengers: Doomsday, only a year away, it goes beyond saying that Sentry/Void is going to play...

The New Season of ‘Poker Face’ Considers A Natasha Lyonne Who’s More Than A Bullshit Detector
Image
The history of comedy on TV is littered with characters who have extraordinary gifts. There are the ones who can do literal magic, like Samantha on Bewitched, Jeannie on I Dream of Jeannie, or, well, all the witches of Agatha All Along. There are space aliens, like Uncle Martin in My Favorite Martian or The Great Gazoo on The Flintstones or Mork on Mork & Mindy. There are straight-up mutant superheroes, like in She-Hulk or Doom Patrol or The Boys. Poker Face’s Charlie (Natasha Lyonne) has the preternatural ability to tell, from merely hearing someone make a statement, if it’s a lie; thus, she is part of a long TV tradition, even if her power is a bit less dramatic than if she could change the nature of matter, stop time or fly around shooting lasers from her hands. And while watching her use this gift to solve mysteries is extremely satisfying,...

Thunderbolts Movie Spoilers And Ending Explained: What Happens In The Post-Credits Scene?
Image
Team-up movies have always been the MCU’s forte, so it is little surprise that Thunderbolts—revolving around the titular team of antiheroes—has managed to bring the cinematic franchise back on track. While I was expecting a Suicide Squad-like treatment with the government exploiting disgraced fugitives to cover up its dirty deeds and whatnot, Thunderbolts actually ended up feeling like a call-back to DC’s Doom Patrol, with tormented misfits trying to redeem themselves by trying to get a grip on their troubled psyches. The ghost of bad humor and nonsense dialogue is still haunting the MCU even thirty-six movie entries in; action scenes are decent in most parts, if pretty basic, the color palette is very lifeless, and the CGI is just okay; nothing to write home about. The narrative progression itself is painfully slow and boring throughout the first half. However, most of these drawbacks get...

Tony Todd at an event for Premonição 5 (2011)
“To break the cycle, there are only two ways: by killing — if you take a life, you’ll get the time that person had left — or you have to die. Good luck.”

Those are the sage words Tony Todd imparts on the latest group of people trying to cheat death in the Final Destination Bloodlines ad below.

‘Final Destination Bloodlines’ Director Teases Premonition That Will Throw Fans “For a Loop”
Zach Lipovsky
If you want to go into Final Destination Bloodlines knowing as little as possible when it hits theaters on May 16, you may want to avoid reading any further.

In a new interview with SFX Magazine, Zach Lipovsky — who co-directs the sixth installment in the horror franchise with Adam Stein — teased a twist on the film’s opening premonition.

“For this film, the first premonition takes place in 1969,” Lipovsky revealed.

“There are lots of deaths during the premonition, which is what normally happens in the opening sequence of a Final Destination movie, but we then come out of the eye of a different person in the modern day. That’s new. For a lot of fans, I think that’s going to immediately throw them for a loop. It’s going to make them lean forward to try and figure out what’s going on.”

He continued, “As moviegoers, we love...

Why CBS’s Ghosts Absolutely Deserved To Be Renewed For Two More Seasons
Image
If you think I am about to rant about my favorite show, Ghosts, you are absolutely right. There’s a reason the series was renewed for two more seasons without anyone objecting.

The CBS show isn’t usually the kind of series with newsworthy episodic arcs.

Instead, Ghosts is more like a ninja, ensnaring viewers with brilliant comedy and genuine, heartfelt moments that blend seamlessly together. How diabolical.

(Bertrand Calmeau/CBS)

In all seriousness, there is a reason why there aren’t many conversations surrounding this show. It’s also tied to why the show was given a double dose of renewal.

If you haven’t given Ghosts a chance, you’re not too late to the party, unlike these spirits. Honestly, I’m jealous of viewers who get to experience the series for the first time.

(Bertrand Calmeau/CBS) Though No One Talks About It, Ghosts Has Had Major...

Anna Lore has answered the call for The Black Phone 2, Deadline has learned.

The actress will next be seen in Final Destination: Bloodlines. Her credits also include “Doom Patrol,” “Gotham Knights,” and They/Them.

Ethan Hawke is back as The Grabber alongside Madeleine McGraw, Mason Thames, Jeremy Davies, and Miguel Mora, joined by Demián Bichir (The Nun) and Arianna Rivas (Prom Dates).
