Exclusive: Emmy nominees Walton Goggins (The White Lotus) and Lewis Pullman (Lessons In Chemistry) are newly aboard climbing movie Batso, joining the previously announced Jessica Biel in the true story of a trio of trailblazing climbers who in the early 1970s took on the most difficult route up iconic peak El Capitan in Yosemite National Park.

The film is based on the true story of Warren ‘Batso’ Harding and Dean Caldwell’s attempt to conquer ‘The Wall of Early Morning Light’.

Goggins is portraying Harding and Pullman will be Caldwell with Biel portraying Beryl Knauth, Batso’s romantic partner and a key pillar in the Yosemite climbing community. 80 For Brady filmmaker and Splitsville star and co-writer Kyle Marvin is directing.

18 months ago Ethan Hawke and Daniel Radcliffe were attached in the lead roles but the project has undergone changes.

The synopsis reads: “In 1970, The Wall of Early Morning Light was an unthinkable climb.

Reports say Daniel Radcliffe is in talks to play Basil Karlo in James Watkins’ Clayface.

Radcliffe has been dodging the superhero game for years, but James Gunn clearly had other plans. Instead of another mutant fan-casting, he’s stepping into DC’s darker, weirder side – right where Gunn thrives.

A while ago DC Studios officially greenlit Clayface, a horror-themed film about a struggling B-movie actor who uses a mysterious substance to stay relevant—only to transform into a creature made entirely of clay.

The script was written by Flanagan. Safran compared the film’s tone to the 1986 horror classic The Fly. However, due to Flanagan’s commitments to his upcoming The Exorcist movie (2026) and a planned Carrie TV series, he was unable to direct.

Instead recently, James Watkins was hired to take on directing duties, with filming expected to begin later that year. Reeves is also involved as a producer alongside Lynn Harris through his production company, 6th & Idaho Productions.

Gunn and Safran clarified that Alan Tudyk, who voiced Clayface in Creature Commandos, would not reprise the role for this film, as his voice work was not considered one of his main Dcu roles.

Earlier this year, Peacock announced that Jessica Biel would star in and executive produce The Good Daughter, a psychological thriller based on Karin Slaughters bestselling novel about two sisters who survive a brutal crime that shatters their family and uncovers dark secrets. Unfortunately, it seem that this is no longer the case as the Emmy award-nominated actress has dropped out of the project. The limited series was picked up by the NBCU streaming service in March, with Slaughter writing all episodes and executive producing with Biel.

Biel was set to play the role of Charlotte Quinn, and casting is now underway to find a replacement. According to Deadline, the reason for her departure from the miniseries is unknown at this time. In a competitive situation, the project has landed at Prime Video with a series order. It hails from Tomorrow Studios, which will co-produce with Amazon MGM Studios.

Olivia Milch (Ocean’s 8), who wrote the pilot, and Regina Corrado (Mayor of Kingstown) serve as executive producers and showrunners on The Better Sister, which is meditating on the terrible things that drive sisters apart and ultimately bring them back together. Peacock has picked up The Good Daughter, a limited series psychological suspense thriller starring and executive produced by Jessica Biel.

Pieces of Her author Karin Slaughter will write all episodes and executive produce the project, from Fifth Season and Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, which is based on Slaughter’s New York Times bestselling novel The Good Daughter.

The package was taken out at the start of 2024, garnering interest and eventually landing at Peacock with a series order.

In The Good Daughter, sisters Charlotte (Biel) and Samantha Quinn have spent the last twenty-eight years trying to piece together the lives that were fractured by a single night of violence. When another attack splinters the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte is the first witness on the scene. Now a lawyer like her father, she’s forced to confront her own demons as the case twists through one shocking revelation after another.

American Psycho starring Christian Bale released back in 2000. The character of Patrick Bateman was done to perfection by the then-kind-of-unknown Bale, and things haven’t been the same since. It’s not easy to pull off a character that has the looks, charm, is a good actor, and a little bit of a freak.

And maybe that was the reason the studio back then wasn’t too keen on casting Bale in the lead role. But to their pleasant surprise, the actor gave a performance worthy of being written in the pages of cinematic history.

And now rumor has it that Lionsgate is looking to do a modern-day remake of the classic. After Bale’s rendition of Patrick Bateman, it will be a little difficult to cast another actor to play such an iconic role. But the internet has never been one...
