Emerald Fennell, the Oscar-winning auteur behind Promising Young Woman and Saltburn, steps behind the camera again to deliver a bold new take on Wuthering Heights, Emily Brontë’s iconic Gothic romance. This daring film adaptation of the classic 19th-century love story blends modern psychological tension with the wild emotional core that has defined the Brontë novel for generations. With her signature dark vision and emotionally raw storytelling, Fennell reimagines Wuthering Heights for a new audience while honoring the moody intensity of the original.

Jonathan Bailey starred in Jurassic World: Rebirth alongside Scarlett Johansson. Rumors of a romance began during the movie’s promotion. Recently, Johansson and Bailey shared a steamy selfie on Instagram where he appears to be biting her neck.
The irony is that Jonathan Bailey has come out of the closet, and Scarlett Johansson is happily married to hubby Colin Jost. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in June 2025, Bailey said that life’s too short not to kiss your friends.

The 1993 film True Romance remains one of the most fascinating titles in modern cinema. While it was written by Quentin Tarantino, the movie is a rare example of a Tarantino script directed by someone else —in this case, the late Tony Scott, best known for blockbuster hits like Top Gun and Crimson Tide.
A Stellar Cast That Went Beyond the Leads
The film featured an ensemble that has only grown more impressive with time. At its center were Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette, who played Clarence and Alabama, a young couple swept into a violent underworld after stealing a suitcase of drugs from a pimp.

Once a child star with the world at his feet, Freddie Highmore might not have capitalized entirely on this promise, but he's certainly been a part of some beloved titles. From movies such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Spiderwick Chronicles to his recent starring turn in the huge hit The Good Doctor, Highmore's name attached to a project is usually a sign of good things to come.
His latest series, Prime Video's The Assassin, might've earned the praise of critics with a 92% rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, but it seems audiences have a different opinion. At the time of writing, The Assassin's audience score is almost just one-third of its critics' rating, sitting at just 38%. For Highmore, this marks his worst-rated television project to date, falling short of the hugely acclaimed Bates Motel, as well as the likes of Fire Country and Leonardo. Interestingly, its...

What is the greatest three-movie run by an actor? Well, first, let me define what I mean by greatest, and what I mean by three-movie run. For my purposes, “greatest” is measured by an equal consideration of movie quality, performance quality, box office, and pop culture relevance. In other words, the films/performances have to be good and well-known. Now, a three-movie run just means three consecutive films in an actor’s filmography. I’m going based on release date, so sometimes having multiple films in a year removes an actor from contention.
So, a good three-movie run is not easy to pull off.. There are a lot of well-known actors who don’t even sniff this list. Here are a few actors you won’t see in the Top 10: Matt Damon, Ethan Hawke, Nicolas Cage, Matthew McConaughey Bradley Cooper. I tried to get a Jack Nicholson 1970’s run on the list,...

Launching later this month, the Italian Global Series Festival (Igsf) marks the long-awaited revival of the dormant RomaFictionFest, now with a spiffier, Riviera-side setting and a more ambitious remit. Running June 21–28 along the Adriatic beachfront between Rimini and Riccione, the revamped event signals more than a simple rebrand for a venerable TV showcase last seen in 2016.
“When Roma went dark, Italian drama lost its home,” says Igsf artistic director Marco Spagnoli. “We lost a place to spotlight our talent and connect creators from different backgrounds and storytelling traditions. In today’s fragmented, content-saturated world, a curated festival is more vital than ever—not just to champion great shows, but to foster real collaboration.”
Indeed, the original festival played a pivotal role in launching breakout Italian hits like “Gomorrah” and “The Mafia Kills Only in Summer,” while serving as a bridge between local talent and the international market. After winning best...

Quentin Tarantino believes that "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" is his best movie, and there are many film fans out there who probably agree with him. While it's hard to decide which Tarantino joint ranks at the top of the list, the 2019 period drama is arguably the most mature and contemplative film in his entire back catalogue. Not only that, but it also serves as a love letter to a bygone era of Tinsel Town that died long ago, which is reflected in the movie applying some revisionist history to the pilot episode of the '60s TV Western "Lancer." What's more, a walk-in bathtub made this storyline possible.
In "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," Leonardo's DiCaprio Rick Dalton appears as a villain in the aforementioned episode of "Lancer," which was released during a time when the actor's career was on a downward turn. Meanwhile, Luke Perry...

How Did James Cameron Convince Leonardo DiCaprio To Consider Titanic? ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Some casting choices fall into place so perfectly, they feel like they were meant to happen all along. Leonardo DiCaprio stepping into the role of Jack Dawson in Titanic sits right up there with the most seamless ones. You watch it now, and it’s hard to picture anyone else sketching Kate Winslet or shouting from the ship’s bow like he owns the ocean. But the part didn’t land in his lap without a few bumps.
Leonardo DiCaprio: Hollywood’s Young Star With Standards At The Time
DiCaprio was only 21 when Titanic came along and was already a force to be reckoned with. He’d squared off with Robert De Niro (This Boy’s Life), caught Sharon Stone’s attention (The Quick and the Dead), and collected an Oscar nod for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. For him,...

It was for a film DiCaprio watched with his father. It’s a criminally underrated and relatively lesser-known Robert De Niro movie. We are talking about the 1988 action-comedy flick ‘Midnight Run’. Exploring How Leonardo DiCaprio Stayed Away From Superhero Roles! ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Leonardo DiCaprio has never been the type to chase trends or fall into the safety net of franchise films. From the start of his career, he stood apart, not just as another child actor trying to survive in the industry, but as someone with an almost obsessive commitment to understanding cinema. While most kids his age were busy with simpler things, he was digging into performances, studying the work of greats, and already showing the kind of intensity that would become his trademark.
Leonardo DiCaprio: A Career Defined By Taste
DiCaprio’s early roles in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and The Basketball Diaries were impressive. They were indicators of a career that would only rise. The Oscar winner’s filmography reads like a highlight reel of modern cinema, with names like Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg, and...

Fortnite has always had a knack for throwing in the most bizarre and entertaining Easter eggs. One moment, you’re building a fortress in the middle of a battle; the next, you’re suddenly caught in a pop culture reference so perfectly placed that you almost forget to shoot back. The game has crossed paths with Marvel, Star Wars, anime, and even real-world celebrities, but its latest trick might just be its most brilliantly devious one yet.

As Timothee Chalamet likely wheezes at some point in “A Complete Unknown,” the times they are a-changin’. While decidedly not a documentary (even the songs are recorded anew), the Bob Dylan biopic and its oft-leaned-upon lyric do speak to the modern moment as well (and as widely) as they ever have. Here, they reference a doc world in disruption. In Hollywood, the streamers are tightening their once-elastic belts. Theatrical releases are too few and far between. The demand for documentaries remains, but the distribution paths aren’t as robust or reliable as they were even a few years ago.
Unique obstacles surfaced in 2024. Despite the year being dominated by debate over the November election, political documentaries faced a wary marketplace and thus struggled to reach audiences in a timely fashion. The Decameron's filming locations in Viterbo, Italy perfectly capture the medieval setting of Florence in 1348. The show highlights the contrast between the wealthy nobles and the servants amid the Black Death pandemic. Villa Santa's interiors were meticulously recreated at Cinecitt Studios in Rome, blending medieval and Renaissance styles.
Netflixs raunchy dark comedy show The Decameron tells the story of nobles fleeing to the Villa Santa in 1348 to escape the Plague-filled city of Florence, Italy, raising questions about the filming locations that shaped the medieval setting. While many anachronistic historical shows like Bridgerton focus on more regal periods of time, The Decameron's main characters, tone, and storyline are influenced by the ongoing death and loss caused by the Black Death the name for the second bubonic plague pandemic, which tore through Europe and Asia from 1346 to 1353 killing up to half the population.

Exclusive: Studiocanal, The Picture Company, Entertainment 360 & Zaftig Films are out to buyers on a TV series based on the acclaimed 2021 documentary The Lost Leonardo, about how a crumbling painting depicting Christy in the Renaissance called The Salvador Mundi was restored and found to possibly be the final work of Leonardo Da Vinci around the time the master painter did the Mona Lisa. Juliane Moore will star as Dianne Modestini, an art restorer who saw something special in the painting, and painstakingly restored it. She and everyone else were surprised to watch it go from a $1000 estate sale item to the priciest painting ever bought, fetching $450 million by the time the auctioneer banged the gavel at the New York auction house Christie’s.

Museum staff and familiar faces discuss their favourite paintings as the National Gallery turns 200, in a film that offers personal stories over scholarly pronouncement
Here is a warm, civilised, and at points quite moving film about the National Gallery’s art collection, timed to coincide with the 200th anniversary of its founding in 1824. It essentially consists of a series of talking-head interviews – mostly National Gallery staff, but also a scattering of outsiders, including a handful of relevant national-treasure celebrities – in which they talk about their favourite paintings. The enthusiasms of the gallery personnel come from an admirably wide range, taking in gift shop sales assistant Joshua Pell (The Adoration of the Kings by Jan Brueghel), corporate development manager Helena Fitzgerald (Degas’ Ballet Dancers) and sign-language guide John Wilson (Pietro Longhi’s Exhibition of a Rhinoceros at Venice). The famous faces, on the other hand, are mainstream TV-friendly types such as...

Jack and Rose’s tragic romance in Titanic is considered to be one of the greatest love stories. James Cameron’s epic disaster film was known for its amazing practical and visual effects but has become a modern classic due to Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet’s acclaimed performances as the leading couple.
Though Cameron’s ambitious project runs over three hours, the filmmaker still had some deleted scenes on the cutting room floor. One of these scenes saw Jack and Rose singing ‘Come Josephine’ after their Irish Dance at the third class section. Fans were quick to notice that the song was hummed by the duo at different points in the film, including its heartbreaking ending.

From enduring freezing waters in James Cameron’s blockbuster Titanic to eating raw bison to prepare for his Oscar-winning turn in The Revenant, the celebrity has never shied away from pushing the envelope.

Constantin Film and Big Light Productions has tapped Christian Schwochow, whose credits include “The Crown,” “Munich: The Edge of War” and “Bad Banks,” to direct its upcoming high-profile drama series “Nuremberg,” based on the Nuremberg Trials. The show will be written by Frank Spotnitz, whose credits include “The Man in the High Castle,” “Ransom” and “Leonardo.”
The series follows young survivors of World War II who go to work for Allied prosecutors trying Nazi criminals in Nuremberg, only to find their quest for justice undermined by secret efforts to build a new world order based on power, not principle.
Schwochow said: “The Nuremberg Trials marked a pivotal moment in human history, ushering in a new age of responsibility and justice. This is a story of humanity grappling with its deepest shadows. Its relevance has never been greater, and I am filled with a humble sense of duty to tell this story faithfully.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s illustrious and lengthy career in Hollywood dates back to when he famously starred in James Cameron’s Titanic. From there, he built an incredible portfolio of films that encompass many genres and roles worthy of awards. Per the official synopsis, “Leonardo da Vinci” follows the 15th century polymath’s life and evolution as a draughtsman and painter, scientist and engineer, who used notebooks to explore an astonishing array of subjects including painting, philosophy, engineering, warfare, anatomy, and geography, among many others. Set against the rich and dynamic backdrop of Renaissance Italy, at a time of skepticism and freethinking, regional war and religious upheaval, “Leonardo da Vinci” brings the artist’s towering achievements to life through his prolific personal notebooks,...

The fellows headlining Fellow Travelers both have enviable acting résumés, but perhaps their roles on the Showtime series will be their greatest yet. Based on the novel by Thomas Mallon, the decade-spanning drama stars Jonathan Bailey and Matt Bomer as two men whose relationship traverses the McCarthyism of the 1950s, the wartime upheaval of the ‘60s, the disco hedonism of the ‘70s, and the AIDS crisis of the ’80s, as they face obstacles both in the world and within themselves, Showtime says. And we’ve watched Bailey and Bomer travel from project to project over the last 10-plus years. Here are our picks for their best roles to date. With “The Inventor,” Jim Capobianco (the Oscar-nominated screenwriter of “Ratatouille“) has managed to direct a family-friendly animated musical (in both stop-motion and 2D) about Leonardo da Vinci’s search for the meaning of life at the end of his life. That’s quite a da Vinci code to crack. That is why it took 12 years to make as a co-production with Curiosity Studio (Ireland), Foliascope (France), Aerial Contrivance Studios, and Robert Rippberger’s Sie Films.
Capobianco’s fascination with da Vinci began with the 2009 2D short “Leonardo,” after intense research into his legendary life as an inventor of flying machines, artist, and pioneer in the study of human anatomy. But what sparked Capobianco’s interest was the notion of da Vinci as “a real person struck with ideas beyond the technical, intellectual, and the societal capabilities of his time.” For him, “The Inventor” explores legacy, how you live your life,...

The Inventor is an animated movie that explores the humanity behind Leonardo da Vinci's art, highlighting his search for the meaning of life. The film features a star-studded cast, including Stephen Fry as da Vinci and Daisy Ridley as Princess Marguerite de Navarre. The animation style of the movie combines 2D hand-drawn and stop-motion, each presenting its own challenges in production.
The world may know Leonardo da Vinci as a great artist, but few have thought about the person behind the legend. Jim Capobianco focuses on the humanity that drove the art in his new animated movie The Inventor. He wrote and directed the project, with Pierre-Luc Granjon serving as co-director, after first stepping into da Vinci's shoes in 2009 with his silent short film Leonardo. This time there are not only voices but also songs, which were written by his collaborator Alex Mandel.

“The Inventor,” a new stop-motion animated feature starring Daisy Ridley and Marion Cotillard, has secured U.S. theatrical distribution at Blue Fox Entertainment.
Having premiered in competition at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June, the feature is about Leonardo da Vinci and marks the directorial debut of Pixar vet Jim Capobianco. “The Inventor” will be released nationwide on Aug. 25.
Capobianco is a longtime animation stalwart who worked on movies during the so-called Disney Renaissance before moving to Pixar, where he wrote on “Ratatouille” (and was subsequently nominated for a Best Original Screenplay Oscar) and worked in the story department for “Inside Out,” “Coco” and “Finding Dory.” Capobianco wrote “The Inventor” and directed alongside Pierre-Luc Granjon.

The Bridgerton season 2 cast is full of returning characters, but features some new faces as well. Bridgerton season 1 was all about the romantic endeavors of Daphne and Simon, Duke of Hastings. Regé-Jean Page, who plays Simon, does not return for the romance series’ sophomore season, as it shifted focus (just like the original Bridgerton novels by Julia Quinn). But that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty more fascinating characters, including the introduction of Kate Sharma. The second season of Bridgerton proved to be just as much of a thrilling ride through the wild side of high society, and it's thanks in no small part to the adeptly-selected new and returning cast.
Bridgerton season 2 sees the eldest Bridgerton son and sibling, Anthony, attempting not to fall in love with Kate Sharma, who has recently arrived in England with her family — her mother Lady Mary Sharma and younger sister Edwina — after living in India.
