Você Deveria Conhecer o Meu Filho 2!

This is the sequel but not one of the original cast remains. I loved the first one although it was way over the top, maybe because of it. The two women in the first one kinda made it what it was. This is a bit of a pale love child of the original, the script seems less dense, one main story with no side stories, it's very linear and that makes it a bit boring. At the same time, it's strangely enjoyable. The acting here is okay within the framework of what it is trying to be, the guys are mostly pretty enough, but is that enough?? I'm going to try post this without rating it, I'm not sure if you can. I feel that it wouldn't be fair to give it a bad rating, as I did enjoy it. On the other hand, it doesn't merit a good rating either. I watched the first one many times, I don't know if I'd watch this a second time.

Just finished viewing this very enjoyable rom com, a great follow up to the original. Great work by Keith Hartman.

First off, the entire cast is different. You now have different actors and actresses playing other people's interpretations of a role from the first film, and in many instances during this film they do not meet that same expectation though they definitely put a good effort into trying to mimic but not duplicate.

The script has some great, tender moments, along with many comedic moments that we first got from the first film. But there are scenes that just don't work the same way. Additionally, some of the camera angles and cut in at least one scene at the beginning just didn't work right - too much back & forth, amateur editing.

In all, the film is quite similar to the first one, which I thoroughly enjoy - partly because of it's faults, as the comedy and great moments make it enjoyable. This sequel is similar, albeit with different cast.

A heartwarming movie about two gay men and their trials and tribulations getting married. The principal actors are all excellent and the movie has professional production shooting, sound, sets and costumes. The groom and groom are luscious eye candy. And how does it all end? Watch and see!
