Anyone who knows anything about Bigfoot, will realize this is just another exploitation of the subject. I enjoy some of the low budget Bigfoot parody movies, but when Rick Dyer shows up in a Bigfoot movie, playing himself, you know it's junk.
With no expectations and no knowledge of this film, was expecting a comedy of sorts starring Tom Green. Even as the top billing lead, Tom Green is barely in this film and is a very minor character. The leads are relatively unknowns and their characters aren't very interesting in the slightest. This film just feels very amateurish, low budget and doesn't have much of a tone or intrigue. Billed as a comedy, there really isn't anything humorous or clever. For the most part, the film just drags on for too long and has an abundance of random characters where we see these interviews. Bigfoot is barely a focus. In the end this is entirely a forgotten and simply boring film.
This movie will not win any awards, it's in the same vein as velocipastor. It's completely bonkers and a laugh from the sheer ridiculousness. I enjoyed it.
What exactly led me to the doorstep of this film? It's my penchant for all things Sasquatch and Bigfoot related. Now I know, this is a bizarre fascination to have but I have always enjoyed the idea of a race of furry monsters living in the subterranean cave systems of the Pacific Northwest.
Of course, this film is based in Missouri, which does have some cave systems but then again, those caves are used for fermenting cheese and stuff. That is real, look it up. And then the fact this is supposed to be a comedy...ugh.
Admittedly, there were a couple funny bits, but beyond that, this movie turned into an incoherent mess. First of all, it had no idea whether it wanted to be a weird folk tale, a mockumentary or something else entirely. It was a jarring mess to say the least, as suddenly we were introduced to random characters that played no role later in the movie.
The plot is equally messy, with a Sasquatch hunter trying to get evidence that the beast exists while the government supposedly is trying to stop him. It goes back and forth with various plot lines and it ultimately stumbles into a jumbled ending that came out of nowhere.
This movie was bad. So bad I don't ever want to visit Missouri because of it. So bad I kinda wished Tom Green didn't beat his cancer. Okay that was a low blow, but what was he doing in this? It's not like his name recognition brought any additional laughs. For the most part, he played a straight man and this "comedy" as a whole was played straight. Either way, this is an atrocity and I don't recommend you watch it. Watch Suburban Sasquatch or something else Sasquatch adjacent.

Barebower.... seriously dude! Come out of your moms basement. This is no Titanic or Gone With The Wind. But it's funny. Kills time. Classic low budget comedy So shut it. Have a beer And laugh. Because this movie is simply stupid comedy. And love it.
