Sweata Tripathi is just magnificent. She has so much deep in the character that is so realistic n made it believable . Biswa work highlights the major fallout in our system n of corruption which is deep rooted in our system. But sweata steels the show her spectacular performance. Must watch.

In this era of gauche, phony, and bad-quality content on our TV sets, a web series like "Laakhon Mein Ek" gives us a ray of hope. People want to consume edgy and good quality content, TV does not give us that opportunity because it is filled with clichéd and dumb soap operas.

Biswa Kalyan Rath's web series "Laakhon Mein Ek" does wonders and it is an eye-opener. It is an invigorating experience to see the real-life predicaments are depicted on screen with a sheer brilliance.

These six episodes perfectly illustrate the life of a teenager, who is laden with the affliction on his shoulders. Parents push the envelope and force their children live their shallow dreams, just to showcase and create a distinction in the so-called society.

The writing is impeccable, it sums up all the nuances of a typical coaching center and successfully elaborates the students' ordeal. All the characters are drawn immaculately and every actor gives a fantastic performance.

The background score is phenomenal, it adds intensity, goes well with humor.

Laakhon Mein Ek is a web series that attempts to hold up a mirror to the Indian society's ugly face. It touches topics that are often neglected and not talked about openly in our society. One of the biggest flaw in our education system is that it has become a business that thrives on exploiting the kids by glorifying the success only a few academics enjoy. The series aims to spell out this societal deficiency and persuade us in introspecting to find a possible solution. Biswa's directorial debut gives us a glimpse of his immense potential. Make no mistake the tale is not for everyone. It's dark and the screenplay does justice to exactly that. Every character is brewed with details and most do very well to play their part. Unrequired comic relief is left out and difficult and painful situations are dealt with the realism. The three main kids do an awesome job with a special shout out to characters Chudail and Akash. I hope a lot of parents/to be parents watch this series and learn to give precedence to what their kid dream of rather than what the society celebrates

Known for his subtle use of science to his comical Biswa Kalyan Rath was here playing the orthodox teacher of those institute, no room for fun, rote facts,do practice,Don't give excuse. Be a robot.You knew this series has something hidden appealing you to fathom it. Once you are through first few minutes you realize its your own story in so many ways. A millennial kid might have seen it all, Parents intangible burden,Comparisons,Societal Norms Brainwashing tumultuous Teachers, A cabal of myth. This series is Deep and Bold. You can't just watch it for fun. It will stick like a chewing gum to your brains and will make you ponder.The writer Questions our education system and left you perplexed . I experience the same pressure while studying in a coaching, if you don't perform in weekly test, you will be downgraded to lower sections where nobody gives a rat-ass. Coaching classes bet on those top 50 Students of there shuffled section.Its a Fact and sad reality, parents from all over India see those 50 students on cover page of every newspaper without thinking much and because A's son has got it put their child into that. Oh Desires !! Thousands of Suicide cases of innocent students and nobody cares. This series was all about these thoughts coming to your mind striking it hard and asking you where does this end, can we have a better education system where you don't need a tag to live.

Post passing my 10th std with a percentage which wasn't up to my expectations, I took a vow to improve my score in my 12th & take admission in a prestigious engineering college. My parents like the rest of India were convinced that engineering is the only degree worth studying for. Any other vocation was vetoed & I was dissuaded from taking it up. It didn't help that all the smart kids took up either engineering or medicine. The peer & parental pressure got to me & I too dreamt of an engineering degree, followed by MS in the US. The world we be at my feet post getting an MS degree. It didn't strike my parents or I that most of my marks were scored in languages, history, geography & social studies. Science & maths were pulling my score down! It was attributed to my lack of hard work & my laid back attitude. As expected my score worsened in my 12th board exams & my family was exalted that I did not fail. I scored just 60%. Now instead of using sound logic & quitting science & taking up commerce or BMS I died the most sensible thing - joined engineering in a college far off from the city & vowed again to work hard & improve my score, now that I had been given another chance. As you must have guessed, I flunked in my engineering several times & managed to pass with horrible marks. Luckily it dawned on me that engineering is not my calling I should try my hand at marketing instead. I gave competitive exams to get into a good B- school & luckily got through. The MBA degree turned my life around. I am now settled with a cushy job & the respect of my peers, unlike my engineering days when I no one wanted me in their projects! Till date I wonder how my life would have turned out had I chosen commerce post my 10th std itself. This is the story of several Indians, which is playing out till date. My happiness knew no bounds when I saw Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots. Finally a movie based on the lives of engineers & our flawed education system But 3 Idiots was about a fictional college based on IIT - the best engineering colleges of the country. All the students in the movie had job interview & subsequent offers post completing the course. What about the guys like me who studied in sub standard colleges, had a tough time understand the technical subjects & struggled to clear their papers? Luckily for me, my prayers have been answered. Biswa Kalyan Rath - of Pretentious Reviews fame needs to be thanked for making a show on the lives of the neglected, harassed & abused lot of engineers or wannabe IITians with no aptitude for engineering. Anybody who has struggled through their engineering or taken up science till 12th standard only to quit later on will relate to this show. The show revolves around Aakash Gupta(Ritwik Sahore) who has scored just 55% in his 10th std & now wants to take up commerce. But his father has other plans. He is shipped of to a town in AP, to prepare for IIT entrance exams. Aakash's expressions & situations are too funny. While Aakash is getting jacked, you can't help but feel sorry & laugh at his plight. We are then introduced to Chudail, Bakri & the rest of the supporting cast. Chudail & Bakri are perfectly cast in their roles. The show has even twists & turns to make you binge. Shivkumar plays his role of the greedy & cunning director of the institute-Murthy well. There are no known faces barring Biswa. The show does have some dark shades. While I may be biased towards the show, thanks to the central plot being something I closely relate to, I can assure you that you will love this show. Amazon prime has managed to impress me once again post Inside Edge. The last episode made us believe that there is ample scope for a second season & I don't see any impediment for Amazon Prime to sanction a second season to the makers. The Golden Age of Indian TV has begun!

There was a lot of hype going on about Biswa's Web Series coming up but when I watched the trailer, I was really disappointed. Judging from the trailer, I expected it to be clichéd story of an IIT aspirant, nothing new in that right. But then I finally watched it, and I kept asking for more. It was much more than stereotypical story of getting into IIT . It was really dark and a lot of attention was given to minute details. All the characters played their part to their full potential. A lot of moments come where you can relate to the characters. Look out for Alam Khan (Chudail) in the series. It is one of those series which makes you ponder and will stay in your mind for quite some time.

What an amazing season 2. Watched all the episodes at one go. Awesome work done by Biswa. All the best.

The series is a brilliant make on the problem of peer pressure and herd mentality that keeps many people from rising in their own area of strength, prevents them from making a profession out of their passion.

The series is light, yet impactful; serious, yet funny. Brilliant job by the makers!!

Laakhon me ek tells a story that needs to be told. And it tells it in a perfect manner. All the aspects - the acting, direction, writing, cinematography, soundtrack etc. align well together to form an experience that is the essence of the show.

The show has been made so well that instead of just seeing what is happening, we feel like we are experiencing what the protagonist is experiencing. We live and feel what Akash lives and feel. Our emotions get attached to his. Because of this, there are times when it is not easy to watch. As we start to feel what the character is feeling, at times, it becomes a bit too overwhelming for us to go through what he is going through. But that too in itself is a sign of a good show.

I am glad that a few hours ago, I decide to watch Laakhon me ek. Thanks to the team for creating something this great.

It is a basic show if you have not already seen hostel daze or other hostel dramas... This was no way near kota factory though... The story never builds up.. With shoddy acting of Akash parents.. Its so unreal that apparent distraught on face of a child is no easily ignored...

Season 1 is very demotivating for IIT JEE aspirants. And lack of commonsense in many scenes.

Season 1 is very depressing and in the name of trying to be real, becomes unreal. Overhyped rating and better to avoid.

Haven't watched season 2.

The acting is great and feels very real. The story is well written, slightly slow at times but the acting makes the series so much real and fills in the gaps in the storyline pretty well.

Honestly this series will blow you away, with it's brilliant script, performances and the system of rural India and how corruption is just spreading in every department in India, this series is definitely a binge worthy show.

It's by no means a perfect movie. It has its flaws. But those for whom this one is made, it touches you on a deep level and moves you to review your life by yourself. A must watch for everyone who has some dreams he/she has not been allowed to dream about. Never knew BISWA KALYAN RATH could be so good a director.This comes out as a very personal story that he wanted to show to the world and someone going through the same path in life will definitely relate. The actors in the movie have done a remarkable job especially the ones who portrayed the character of students. Everyone had their A game going. I wish this could have been telecasted on our T.V. instead of those SOAP operas. This is the reality that nowadays not even reality shows could capture. Only if our country had been a little more progressive. I recommend it and request you all to watch it with your parents. Or at least show it to them IF YOU STILL HAVE GOT TIME TO ESCAPE obviously.

I had no idea what to expect from Laakhon Mein Ek Season 2. I gave up on Season 1 halfway through the 1st episode as it was boring, more for students or people who have lived in hostels.

Season 2 holds the interest throughout. It is a realistic plot that gives the general public a good idea of how public healthcare really functions, especially in rural areas. The actors are superbly cast. Shweta Tripathi does a good job as an enthusiastic new doctor on the mandatory rural stint. Except for the last episodes where she is not convincing as a person filled with remorse and wanting to atone for something which is not really her fault at all. It is the fault of the system, and in fact it is the fault of the person who failed to sanction the suppliers payments on time, whether that person was the minister or a bureaucrat is left to the imagination, the suggestion being largely the minister.

The plot reminded me instantly of the Gorakhpur govt hospital tragedy just over a year ago when so many children died due to lack of oxygen cylinder supplies - for the same reason that the suppliers payments were held up. In that real life case too, the suppliers and doctors were promptly arrested whereas the real culprits were those who wielded authority but failed to release the payments on time.

Another aspect of this series that I loved was the showcasing of a hardly known traditional Chitrakatha performance (Pinguli, Konkan) in the sets village of Sitlapur.

In summary: A Must Watch

After watching Biswa's standup shows, I thought of giving this series a shot. But I was very much surprised to find serious but brilliantly written content in this series. In both the seasons, the story captures intrinsic venoms of the society which are found in the noble professions, be it education or medicine. Very good writing, very natural and effortless actors. Well done Biswa. Keep up the good work.

Laakhon Mein Ek had a very prolific start with its unique backdrop. The characters seemed to be worth investing. There were nuances in the writing but as the series progressed it made very clear that this show is nothing better than any other average shows available around the globe.

A story about an young trainee doctor coping up with the ordeals this system throws at her now and then surely can be a great premise for a show in a different world, but this show fails to pull off any greatness. There is nothing ground breaking in the way the series had been written. There were quite a few extraordinary themes to see along the duration of the show but never been used efficiently to fill the audience with awe. Some characters were very naively written. There was nothing intriguing and new about these characters.

The poor writing was shoddy and predictable. Though at the beginning there were quite promising moments but after Midway the whole show went downhill. And with the "over the top" finale, the show lost its momentous ingenuity. Writers short-sighted fantasies were visibly ruining the once reassuring plot.

Awesome story. Sweta tripathi performed superb.Everthing was good. Must watch.

Amazing Storyline with exceptional direction and splendid performance. LME S2 is a must watch series but I really believe that ending did not justified the story. Heroes like Doctor Shreya deserve better ending who is willing to sacrifice everything.

Watched the show due to relatable subject like IIT entrance exam..But the show disappoints with everything right from storyline to dialogues..It seems like the script is written someone not at all familiar with the atmosphere that goes around classes and study rooms of competitive exams..No point in expecting the creators to find relatable humor that happens in a studious group of students..In the name of humour they have just resorted to everything cheap that is easily available like bullying,cheap below the belt dialogues and swear words that we see on international platforms.If you are looking for quality content on the subject then watch Kota Factory instead..

Why don't we have more thought provoking series like this? Without going into too much details just ask yourself one question, either before or after watching this- can you live with yourself with the corruption that can impact someone's life? Enjoy.
