I loved this film. It's funny. It's touching. It's an awesome road trip movie with the very best cinematography of the Pacific Coast I have ever seen. It's just a fun film that I could watch again and again.
This movie is loaded with up-and-coming stars. It had really great music. I loved the performances from all the primary actors. To me, the script ran very true-to-life. I felt like I could identify with all the characters and their respective motivations.
I also absolutely loved one particular scene in the movie, where the two main guys in the film have an impromptu dinner with two ladies a few years older (and wiser) than them. This scene stood out as particularly insightful to me. In the end, it's just a four people talking. But Director Marc Carlini took his time with this scene, and with some really great acting and an awesome script, he got the best on-screen discussion of the meaning of life that I can recall seeing. I would strongly recommend this film for this scene alone.
In terms of what you might compare this movie to, Sideways is the closest comparable I can think of. I loved that film, too. Though this film is similar in that it's two very different guys who are friends going on a road-trip with sometimes funny drama ensuing, this film is not trying to be like Sideways. She's in Portland is its own story. It also has a younger and hipper vibe than Sideways had. Nonetheless, they are similar films, and I'm sure I won't be the only one making this comparison.
Overall: Great film! 10 out of 10.

This is not a comedy so it has been wrongly categorised, but I really loved this movie. Very relatable characters, beautiful cinematography and a plot that many of us can relate to. Perhaps a younger audience might not appreciate it as much since they haven't got the life experiences that these guys have which make them relatable to the over 30's in the audience. Definitely worth a watch.
I enjoyed watching this mature movie about 2 close friends taking a road trip and go through some deep self discovery. There's some great footage of the California coast which works well as a backdrop to some interesting encounters and deep intelligent conversations. The writing is more sophisticated than your typical clichés out there and connects you to the characters at a more mature level. The acting is good all around and had some very good vulnerable moments that kept me engaged.
I can see from the bad reviews that some people think having deep conversations about relationships and love is boring. I suspect they were expecting more BRO talk and juvenile behavior.

I watched this because of the title. I like to watch film where Portland is part of the character, and also to be a detective to locate where the different scenes are filmed. The last few minutes could have been any where in the world. I'm going to put myself out there and say that the film makers had a really good time along highway 101. By the time they got to Portland they just wanted to go home.
I really have no feeling about this movie. It's not too boring but not funny and not worth watching as well. It's a mediocre production n tons of review here rate so up about this movie.
