Freshman Friday

Would like to get my time back please. Good effort actors? Content, story, writing, fluidity, OH MA GAWD noooooo. Embarrassing. Y'all don't waste your time.

(Minimum word requirement - fine) Failed attempt at slapstick comedy , jokes that weren't funny or did not land. Delivery or writing, who knows. Was there a table read? Was there a constructive reading, red ink editing of this script who was not related, a friend, a part of the movie. Friends don't let friend drive drunk.

If it's a student film, that's how it should be be presented. Student films are learning experiences- I thought, not monetization when it does not feel a complete product. I love watching student films, the creativity, experimental storytelling. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This didn't.

If you went to college and maybe even a HBCU this film MAY bring back some nostalgic memories, may make you say "I remember when ..." , may make it relatable at sometimes, may even make you chuckle a few times, but if u don't have ties to this film I doubt it will make you proud.

Constructively, ok rough draft. Not commercial ready.

This is so lame. 21st century africa americans have lost the plot.

I thought this was one of those movies that Blockbuster would have labeled straight to DVD but you pick it up because of the handsome man on the cover or the potential for a decent story. Before Tubi, I might have picked this movie up just to see a prospective new actor. Yet, when I actually watched this I found some interest in the cooky story. It held my interest. I was rooting for the underdog.

This movie was not designed to win Oscars or Emmys but it has a place in the somewhat mindless entertainment category. Maybe the viewer who wants the little chuckle and a story so unbelievably quirky you cannot help but get some laughs in.
